  1. Britannia! The comments section is even more interesting - find out what English Tories really think of us.
  2. Is there anything as sad as unrequited love? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-48675043 Check the photo of Ruth forgetting to smile!
  3. @Baxter Parp @Londonwell Fair enough - I see though that the RD interview is from just after the Euro Referendum in 2016 and interestingly she leaves a few other "hostages to fortune" within it. In between then and now however her message has been that we shouldn't have one and she is currently backing Sajid Javid (who has said he would block a second independence referendum) as leadership candidate. It is just a bit confusing...
  4. Must've missed that, all I remember her saying on the subject is "we were promised once in a generation" & "concentrate on with the day job".
  5. RD agreeing that calls for IndyRef2 would be legitimate if the SNP won a majority at Holyrood in May 2021 - first question that springs to mind is would she quibble over a situation where Green/SNP combined to vote for one? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-48607722
  6. Could the Scottish government take the case to the ECJ rather like what happened over the UKs unilateral right to revoke A50?
  7. As NS said in itself it makes little difference but it's just another example of the "we love you Scotland, but if you leave we'll absolutely fuck you over" attitude prevalent from English politicians in 2014.
  8. Erm, so yesterday was really D(onald) Day!
  9. Why are we celebrating the 75th anniversary of D-Day a day early - what have I missed?
  10. Isma tough one, six years on and it's all been a bit meh for him! Don't want to spoil those memories and I'm not sure he's the sorta player OK will be looking for.
  11. This Brexit malarky is really helping us to take back control.........
  12. Gus MacPherson's roll! Yeah and GM will have a large say in who OK has available to pick - whilst being successful the football we've played since mid-Feb could in no way be described as scintillating.
  13. I may be in a minority of one but I look forward to seeing us play the most brutal "non-football" ever seen in Scotland under GM & OK next season!
  14. We took 6 pts from the last 2 H2Hs with Livi and 4 from the two against Accies so I see us finishing in 9/10th spot. Outside of that I couldn't care less
  15. Love the big man but that would be my main worry about resigning him, he'll be a target for sure on the whole I'd say no.
  16. Nitpicking but if he's out of contract then it wouldn't be a pay cut, I don't think we were to far out of line with what the other diddy clubs in the top flight here were paying last season so it would more likely be down to whether a club down south is interested in him
  17. OK obviously rates Hodson - he played him every game for which he was available until he was injured and phased him back in when he recovered. If he's available within our price range I'd snap him up!
  18. So much for "eating them up".
  19. Interesting aside from outgoing MEP David Martin in his resignation speech...………….
  20. Theresa May has bowed to pressure from backbenchers and cabinet ministers and abandoned plans to publish her controversial EU withdrawal agreement bill (Wab) tomorrow.
  21. It was in the Grauniad. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/blog/live/2019/may/22/brexit-latest-news-may-statement-mps-deal-pmqs-gove-suggests-planned-vote-on-withdrawal-agreement-bill-could-be-shelved-live-news FFS - Looks like British Steel is going to become insolvent. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/may/22/british-steel-to-enter-insolvency-after-rescue-talks-with-government-fail
  22. Less than 24 hours after May's speech and Gove is talking ambiguously about whether May's amended bill will be put before parliament and also declaring his "huge admiration" for Boris Johnson who may or may not remember his last leadership bid being derailed by Gove three years ago.
  23. I'm not so sure, she's been pretty dismissive of Boris on a couple of occasions which I don't think will play well with a lot of Tory activists down south. She's probably got a "Get Out of Jail Free" card for the upcoming Euros but she's set her aim high for the next Holyrood election and if she doesn't come a close second (I don't think she'll win) her star will start to wane.
  24. Very much this - altho' you could argue this situation is what a DoF is for!
  25. Kearney came into a club in disarray kept us in touch up till the January window and once the team started to gel in February got us back to 11th - where he came in. He's earned the right to to be in charge next season whatever division we're in, that said if he decides that teaching & managing P/T back over the water is safer/less stress who could blame him - he'd leave with my best wishes.
