  1. Game against Alloa tonight - I guess there'll be a few extra people looking out for that score.
  2. Chris Philp was doing the rounds for the Tory party this morning and doubled down on what is now the "fishul" line...
  3. Cummings has been gunning for Johnson since he was forced out over a year ago and he hasn't managed it yet, if anyone has enough dirt to get those letters sent into the 1922 Committee it'll be Munira Mirza...
  4. Maintaining his interest in the bairns... Thanks @Arch Stanton
  5. It's parliamentary recess on Thursday and apparently Tory MPs have been told nothing important is gonna be announced so that gets Boris another week for the heat to die down in the Saville smear, the question is will this lot want to, or will they keep on with "the buck stopped with Starmer" line - my opinion is the latter.
  6. I think the present set-up is about as good as you can get with the split in the top division and play-offs for relegation/promotion slots giving most teams over the 4 divisions meaningful games well into spring. A 14 team top flight with a 7-7 split after 22 games would be an option but I'm not really sure that would be an improvemsnt and I really don't fancy any of the more convoluted splits I've seen suggested From a selfish POV my team St. Mirren would likely spend the bulk of our time in the Championship if the top Division was reduced to 10 teams - so I say keep it as it is. I think the main criticism many fans have with the current set up is that when you throw in cup games you could play the same team 6 (or more?) times in the same season but again that is something I am willing to put up with.
  7. I think the public mood has moved since 2017 (and for the better) when Goodwillie signed for Clyde but say Raith had a more conventional sponsor rather than Val McDairmid would they have kept their heads down rather than forcing the issue , might he have seen the furore out elsewhere?
  8. There's endemic and then there's endemic, it''s certainly not over when 1729 people have died in the last 7 days after contracting it - one more crass comment to add to the list.
  9. On a full reading I'm not so sure I agree with the Yank as he gives a suggestion for a best second word but that would only be applicable if no letters from roate (I looked it up it's a technical term used in accountancy relating to company tax) are in the wordle.
  10. See a Tory donor is asking for his donation back as he did not get VFM - which surely can't be true as Boris assured everyone we were not a corrupt country back at COP26. Apparently he didn't get a £40k a year government sinecure or goodies that included breakfast with the prime minister, a Japanese meal with Jeremy Hunt and a “magical show” by former defence secretary Penny Mordaunt, who once worked as a magician’s assistant. Give me back my £200,000, major donor tells Tories | Conservatives | The Guardian Actually I'm quite impressed with Penny Mordaunt's ex-career and would consider voting Tory for the first time in my life if she became the new leader and campaigned in tights and spangly costume, a bit like the lovely Debbie McGee - not quite DM but it's as near as I could get.
  11. Some Yank has written a program which claims that roate is the best word to start with... PhD student writes program that finds the best first word to guess in Wordle | The Independent and you can go back to the beginning apparently.... Wordle Archive (devangthakkar.com)
  12. Marian Keyes has a new "Rachel" book out, altho most of her work is chick lit she does adress topics like domestic abuse & addiction plus unless she's had work done or the photos have been touched up she's in good nick for 58 (same age as me)...
  13. Dundee & St. Johnstone looking detached now, I could see St. Johnstone scraping 10th if one of the teams in the bunch hit a bad run but I'll boldly say what no man has said before - Dundee for the drop, St Johnstone for the play-off spot.
  14. I guess she doesn't see herself as a genuine leadership candidate (fails even that low bar!) and is presenting herself as someone willing to say any old shit in support of the leader/party to the media in the hope of staying in the Cabinet post-Johnson. As I've said previously it now seems the Tory party line to say "the buck stops with Starmer" even if some of them don't go the full Johnson/Dorries distance!
  15. Sunak the latest to "distance himself" from Johnson's Saville/Starmer smear, serves two purposes - manoeuvring against Johnson and keeps the smear in the news.
  16. Disappointed we seem to be interested in Griffiths but would he even want to stay in the SPFL? He knocked back the chance to stay at Dundee and I'd be surprised if we could offer more money than them, I'd say he's more likely to see out his career outside Scotland, somewhere warm where his profile will be less of an issue.
  17. Rishi getting a swipe at Boris while also repeating the Saville smear against Keir, two birds one stone - nice work!
  18. Add my voice to those saying that hopefully JG was only being polite and that we have no interest in Griffiths.
  19. I think he's likely to see out his Raith contract in the garden...
  20. Lucky Erwin knocked back Thistle , re Grieve I wonder what NZs international schedule is, actually I see they've got 3 games between March 18-24 altho that would only affect one match for us - the last game before split on the 23rd.
