  1. Can you pay cash at the gate, or a ticket at the ground on the day?
  2. Long way to go. Four shots is nothing on Augusta's back nine.
  3. Henderson's return was delayed until Heart's got a replacement in. He was always coming back to us. He's got very unfortunate body language, that's the first thing he should change IMO, and certainly often looks like he can't be arsed, but he's still looks most likely to score. Having said that, I can see Hendo being dropped for the Cove game. If Cawley's fit then he has to come back in and Henderson is the obvious one to drop out for that game for me. Probably a case too for Senna starting, but not sure for whom - certainly not Robbo or Scougs (as BF bizarrely might have done). McIver did very well yesterday, as well as the goal he linked up well, winning plenty flick ons and keeping it simple. He deserves to retain his place, as does Sammon who was effective despite his idiosyncrasies! Howie also did well, especially when moved to his natural side and I'd be comfortable starting him against Milne, especially with Boyd or Cawley helping him. Great to win yesterday and genuinely believe we can go to Cove and take something from the game. Hoping to get up there as never been to the ground.
  4. Last fifteen minutes alone were worth at least £20 on stream.
  5. Can't ever remember seeing an Alloa player as perplexing as Hendo. The first chance he missed, from Boyd's cross, was one a player of his ability should put away (nearly) every time. The second when he beats the offside trap from Scougs' chip is arguably even easier as he's got a bit more time. He's got top level ability with lightning pace, as we've seen several times. I'm sure coaches have been trying to get through to him to work harder, be more consistent for a while now, or is he like he is partly because he thinks he is better than Alloa and is playing at, say, 80% a lot of the time? Don't know what the answer is tbh.

  7. Agreed. I could feel their joy, and who can blame them. Closest we've come to that feeling this season was the the late 4-3 win away to Queen's Park, this must have felt even better. Obviously very disappointing from an Alloa perspective, given the two chances Henderson missed and after taking the lead, but we came up short again in trying to manage a game we were winning late on. I agree the subs, in hindsight, didn't help but presumably Robbo and Kev were struggling as you would never normally take either of them off when leading otherwise. Also a pity that we didn't see it out after the opener as, assuming a win next week, it would have potentially meant we were going to TFS in two weeks with a chance to leapfrog them. Have to say also I thought taking Boyd off for McIver was the correct call.
  8. No wonder big Ross scored, what with half the Sons' defenders sunbathing.
  9. Perhaps Falkirk could engage Springfield to draft a contract that would hook Jack in?
  10. Brilliant to follow up last week's win with another three points. Sounds like it was well deserved and as comfortable a win as we've had this season. Pleased that BR made the one obvious change, moving Taggs to the right, even if that meant Kev remained as a wing back ( he'll do a job anywhere). We're nearly safe now and I expect in two or three weeks that will be confirmed. Main thing for me know is Kev getting a testimonial season next year.
  11. Enjoyed the game. Dunfermline were excellent. Good to see Kevin O'Hara playing so well; I thought his work rate and chasing down defenders was crucial to how the Pars played.
  12. Huge (and deserved) three points and an enjoyable game. Second half was as good as I've seen us play for quite some time; Henderson seemed to come to life and the formation change helped give us the ascendancy. I thought wee Kev was outstanding second half, he and Taggs dominated the right flank. In fact no failures today. I wonder if McIver might get a start next week instead of Sammon (who was fine today)? Thought he looked lively and won a few good flick ons. I actually thought Peterhead looked a decent side and expect they will be safe. Looked like a good tackle for the red. Long had a few really good saves, including the one where he used his balls to stop the ball.
  13. Competency based interviews are a pile of shite.
  14. That's as poor a starting eleven as we've put out this season. Can only imagine it's heavily influenced by the pitch (e.g. no Cawley or Scougal). Of course we don't know exactly how we are going to line up. That in itself will be interesting. Worth bearing in mind Queen's haven't beaten us in three attempts.
