  1. im burning up like mayor quimby and only got the stream to go by, but it genuinely seems like the referee is taking pity on inverness by giving them incredibly soft free kicks. Pretty sure Fitzpatrick got grabbed and hauled down 1st half and we got nada, ffs
  2. Milne and Lawless were phenomenal, Fitzpatrick good as well. Nice cameo from Dowds who put in some good work when we were clearly in timewasting mode. Thought Sneddon had fucked it with that parried effort into danger, but he was up very sharp, ended up a great double save in the end.
  3. Ta for that... aye, ive fucked about with the wording again a wee bit it scans fine to me now, see how it goes Havent seen her on it since, ill give her a like if she crops up, f**k it. Nothing recent enough i can use i dont think, about 99% of my phone pics over the last 5 years are of my former fiancee, the pets and/or both. As above, its caveated a bit in the bio so hopefully all ties everything together nicely like the dudes rug. Being off the cigs helps a bit tbf, got more money to play with so ill look to take more up, going to be after new year at this point but.
  4. literally just noticed that with gold theres a wee tab that gives you a timer which is presumably when the person you've liked will receive it, im sure this wasnt displayed on the free version. Sneaky sneaky. edit: also twigged that the recommended matches should if its accurate receive likes quicker, so i started from there. apparently users used to get 1x free super like on the free app a day too, now have to pay in order to get 5x a week (so you're now paying to get 2x less per week than you used to get for nothing, typical) me waiting over the weekend to see if i can get my first reply on a match:
  5. im kind of assuming that super likes work on some kind of "oh wow this guy must genuinely really like my profile and doesnt just want a pump n' dump or he'd have given me a regular like" principle for girls, have used a couple on that basis so far the night (edit: or the algorithm does algorithmy things and makes them more likely to see my profile/see my like a lot quicker than drip feeding it through to them) One of them legit looked absolutely sensational and even had a snappy one liner in her profile. With that, TDN had fallen in love. Ditto the qt 21 y/o Irish girl I've matched with from the other day and messaged... that has yet to reply, and likely never will. God this app is going to be heartbreaking to use, and yet I already kinda love it Also - amusingly seen a girl on spotlight a few times that I definitely recognise, is a friend of a friend from my younger teenage days that must be in the area. Alas, I'm far too much of a shitebag to either swipe naw on her (because she's gorgeous and iirc pleasant in person too) but also can't bring myself to swipe yes either in case I bump into her while I'm out and she's a little bit weirded out by it, always just go into one of the other feeds when I see her crop up.
  6. Thank you all for the replies. I've paid up, regular gold membership for now, 12 months, f**k it. If it works and I meet some nice lassies on it then great, if it doesn't then f**k it, I've got plenty to sort out to keep me busy and a few things to look forward to over the coming year anyway. Nearly went for platinum but ech, didn't seem all that much of a difference for the sake of an extra £2 a month. weebeyfromthewireshocked.gif at the bit in bold. I hadn't thought of it that way. Ohhh wait, goes both ways then. I got a match the other day at about 11pm from a girl that I'm sure I had liked about a week before, I had put that down to some kind of a time delay for being a free user but maybe its not (at least not solely that anyway) Interesting, think i get the (other) bit in bold at the end now too. Cheers for the thought out post. I am, if nothing else, not a total wankstain (not all the time anyway) and tbh I've been pretty courteous so far. f**k knows how my profile comes over right now, I've made tiny adjustments to it as I've gone along. Hard balance between being fair and letting folk know a bit about me vs. keeping quiet about certain things, but I lean towards just facing up to things and being honest. I've got "trying to quit" on there for my smoker status so I've literally started using it as my own personal stop smoking app ive got a wee line on my profile at the end, was something like "finally aff the fags, 96 hours and counting!". Might be someone out there that sees that and has packed in the cigs and takes an interest in that, worst case scenario I'm using it to keep track of exactly how long I've been smoke free, im getting my moneys worth out of the damn thing at least, ha. haha yeah wouldnt that be terrible haha totally didnt just remove a couple of photos from my profile haha na but more genuinely, I've had a swatch through my phone again and picked the best photos I could, the first few are alright (luckily recent + a found a good couple to put on it from my brothers wedding, so I at least looked suited up/dressed to impress) and one from a night out that I really love, but its slim pickings. f**k it, I'm working on a "can only pish with what I've got" here, hopefully the first few pics are good enough. That's somewhat depressing, I legit just want a nice chat with a nice girl over the festive period. And no, I'm *not* calling fucking Babestation, thank you very much all the same. unironically just rounded up my height to 6'0 from 5'11 on mine after this, lmao Still feels dirty even lying (im a bit too much of a Ned Flanders at times tbh) so I think I've put it as summat like "I'm juuuuust about 6'0 tall" Thank you all again. I'll try to update the thread on my luck/lack thereof and the Wid status of any future tinder dates (real or fabricated) Early days yet.
  7. something of an old bump, cant quite be arsed trawling through the last 108 pages right now (some of which may be out of date by now anyway tbh) is it pretty much a case that you have to pay for a gold subscription at a minimum to have a fighting chance on this? I downloaded it for free a week ago and set a profile up, handful of matches and ive even messaged a couple of girls on it, but i may not be sufficiently jaded to know what I'm meant to be doing yet, literally zero replies. Is it mainly a weekend thing too, been on after work a few times swipin' away but got a feeling it prioritises paid up members over cheapskates like myself. it's early days tbf but the hit rate so far kinda has me debating whether it'd be worth signing up after the new year or not, not really got anything to lose but im wary of falling into a trap of the app just teasing me e.g. with a bunch of bots/fake profiles to keep me using the damn thing.
  8. I think, iirc, The Jags Foundation had requested even some sort of cursory look at the books (under supervision?), but were told by the club that was going to be a red line as the share transfer was a gift, therefore absolutely no form of due diligence would be needed. TJF acquiesced on that to keep moving forward, im sure. Funnily enough the club were quite happy to give the exact financial information that TJF had requested to the PTFC Trust... gift or no gift. Edit; think the trust structure was pretty much drawn up wholly by the club itself and all - which is not exactly fan driven.
  9. I had little to no interest in football right through primary school. I liked playing the old International Superstar Soccer Deluxe game on the SNES though, occassionally with my older brother (who regularly smashed me but I didn't really care, generally just got to a point where I deliberately tried to get players sent off to amuse myself) By chance I ended up watching a fair bit of Euro 2004 and really enjoyed it having not had the patience for 90 minute games before that. Ended up buying PES 4 on the PS2 as a result and was blown away at how much fun it was, so I even started tentatively trying to play in goals at school, borrowing a pair of my brothers knackered old Reusch gloves, and tbh was uniformly terrible between the sticks but I did get better and better as time went on, even ended up outfield where in all honesty I'm fairly poor even now (started playing far too late so well behind all my peers, and smoking cigarettes means I can't even run about like a headless chicken the way my sprightly younger self could manage) I can just about pass/shoot/trap a ball/carry a ball a wee bit of distance at least, bizarrely I like big pitches as I'm better at passing than anything else so I can spray the ball about. Can't run, track back or tackle however, which is a bit of a hindrance I have to say. Mate of mine asked me by chance to go up to Firhill one time as he'd grown up going to a few games (midweek challenge cup game against St Johnstone) and I said aye, so we went up on the train after school. Loosely mind my dad saying I had some older relatives that played for/supported Thistle too. Literally the first ever competitive club football match I'd ever been to, and the game finished 4-4 and went to extra time and penalties, it was absolutely mad. Thistle lost the shootout that night, but I was hooked from it and went up more and more often (checking the fixtures online, the older I got the more confident I grew in chancing my arm to get booze as a teenager, vividly recall my pal bursting out laughing when I swaggered out of a Maryhill newsagent with a 2L bottle of strongbow for us to share on the train home), eventually even started going up on my lonesome if I fancied it. Thistle had a fairly poor team, Saints were in the first division at the time and iirc had Rutkiewicz (who scored in normal time), Jason Scotland and a few other good players. Pretty sure another game I went to that was either that season or the season after was a 2-2 draw with Inverness, this time we won on penalties. I remember Ross Tokely getting some amount of abuse from the home end, think he was in the press for being a wifebeater at the time and generally just looked like a bit of a b*****d. Also went up to John Lambies Testimonial, was fairly turgid on the park but we took a bucky bottle in and drank it on the fly in the stadium, that was fun. Edit: had a google, can only find this on the game. https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/116310/Show/Scotland-Scottish-Challenge-Cup-2005-2006-Partick-Thistle-St-Johnstone
  10. Hopeful its just that their planned structure for trust beneficiaries ended up unworkable due to GDPR (going purely off that recent tjf statement about it) and theyve called it quits, today was some kind of deadline for opt in/out/all about i think? Edit: checked, aye deadline was today
  11. I'd imagine TJF can finally get involved in some good faith discussions now about how to proceed, but its fucking baffling that the board didnt see this coming from a mile away/months ago.
  12. Ach, ours is in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it more than previous work nights out tbh, has been a rough year and need to try to find stuff to enjoy as much as possible, although I think I might be meant to be in work the morning after so will have to be conscious and pace myself. edit: in theory I may even be easier taking the car up but that means no drink whatsoever which sounds kinda shite, but it makes life a bit smoother at the end of the night. Can figure it out a bit more nearer the time, there's a place I can crash easilly enough if need be. Have been a bit Mark Corrigan @ Rainbow Rythms before on these kind of events through the years ("if I'm going to look relaxed it's going to take every last ounce of my concentration, focus and skill"), but this time around it helps that I legit like the place + the people, especially in comparison to the last place I worked.
  13. downplaying it as just being about 30 people outside/up at the canal ignores i) the marches around the ground pre-match ii) the sparsity of the North Stand, couldn't see what the JHS was like but given the quoted attendance I'm going to hazard a guess it was poor there too. iii) 30 iirc is a bit off the mark, quite a few were sort of obscured/standing behind each other, would guess it was closer to 40, at least for the first half. iv) a club like Thistle really can't afford to ignore it when even roughly (pun loosely intended) 40 fans would rather stand outside in poor weather conditions out of protest than pay in to the ground - and again, that's ignoring i) and ii). Laughing about not having to see them when it got dark is just going to get peoples backs up and try to make it even more visible next time.
  14. its based on nothing tbh as ive never even hear him speak, but if he's just a staunch Ian Cathro type figure then it'll be a fun few months ahead. Or he salvages a write off of a season but ech, thats less amusing.
  15. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_floater Just do the training with wind floaters instead, simple as
  16. Didnt have a great view from where i was standing but i thought it wouldve been two yellows apiece for the cardle incident, im still not 100% from those highlights tbh but hey ho, done now. We're scoring from set pieces rather than chucking goals in from them, 3 in 2 now wooooo
  17. I get it, but even that sounds a bit inefficient (speaking as someone that's firmly Yes), would rather it was a standard election paper but also add on the question as worded in the 2014 referendum too separately.
  18. Wonder if retainers are a thing in teaching contracts too, although that would maybe be more of a private school perk or something, idk (I've never done anything other than standard full time/part time work - apart from a """""""long term temporary assignment""""""" which was in essence just a way to give full time workers garbage conditions i.e. no sick pay, literally zero notice needed for the employer to punt you if there was a downturn and so on) Have worked somewhere before where apparently the wind turbine engineers had something like that in their contracts; they got paid a retainer in between assignments so they wouldn't bugger off to take work elsewhere meaning that the company would be scrambling to find the staff fulfil work orders.

  20. wait dont you get a pretty beefy meals allowance + a hefty daily rate in the HoL?

  22. Q11: Who had an ill fated campaign to become a moderator? Q12: at which fast food chain would you take a girl to for a date, gauge how the date went and depending on the level of success, proceed to attempt to finger her under the table?
