  2. wait dont you get a pretty beefy meals allowance + a hefty daily rate in the HoL?
  3. Mrrrrrrhm Darren Mackie?? All thats coming to mind but i know its not that EDIT: OHHHHHHHH. Christ, im thinking of the reading champion thing Leigh Griffiths and Jocky's Jetpack.
  4. Q11: Who had an ill fated campaign to become a moderator? Q12: at which fast food chain would you take a girl to for a date, gauge how the date went and depending on the level of success, proceed to attempt to finger her under the table?
  5. Cheers. Aye, ive signed up, f**k it. Nominal amount for now + nominal donation but ill chip in more down the line as things settle down.
  6. if i sign up for TJF on the £1 a month rate is there a way to do one off donations down the line too? Christmas is coming up and, while im in work, theres been a fair bit of upheaval in my personal life too; theres other (charitable) organisations ill very likely be donating to down the line. Would like to just nominally put my name down to boost the numbers and then donate more as a one off lump sum down the line but idk how much there'll be, it's a good ways off in any event. I have literally no idea what my final wage before christmas is going to be like either which doesnt help. Could stretch to the mandatory £1 + a £2 donation a month easy enough for now, my inner scrooge mcduck be damned. Ill aim to patg on saturday anyway tbh, purely out of morbid curiousity rather than for a good saturday out enjoying the football, means i have an excuse to drink up in the west end afterward and all. Maybe Kelty for the novelty/rubbernecking factor too, havent decided.
  7. if we're going to be a shambles I at least want it to be entertaining, sign me up for Neil Lennon if he's interested. In practice we'd in all likelihood end up with some jobbers on loan from Celtic in January + some random Cypriot free agent who either falls out of football entirely or becomes a cult hero down the line. The press conferences would be amusing/horrifying too, and it would see a resurgence of Neil Lennon .gifs and .jpg's on P&B. In theory he could sort us out at the nastier side of the game which might stop us falling further and further down the league if nothing else; think we played Hibs at least a couple of times while he was there and from memory they were a horrible team to play against.
  8. New to all of this so may be incorrect, but its something like i) estate is moveable and heritable property owned by the deceased ii) executor is the person deals with the estate, and a will can name more than one. gets complicated if someone dies intestate (no will. Also if theres no spouse. Can in theory end up going to the Crown if no-one is found that can claim any share of the estate) iii) inventory is done on the estate to establish all the assets. Small estates fall below a certain threshold. Bank accounts, life insurance policies, certain pension funds, all needs to get identified. iv) creditors (dwp, hmrc, utilities, whoever) have to be given time to claim against the estate v) something something Confirmation in Scotland, something something Probate in England and Wales. This bit im hazy on and may be an earlier or later step. Its easier with a will, afaik. vi) after all debts and liabilities are paid, estate is then divided as per will or rights if its intestate. Law contingent on p&b may be twitching reading that, but its the broad strokes as far as i understand it. With a will the money all goes to an escrow type account held by the lawyer. I'll recuse myself from this as im involved in dealing with an estate the now so probably wont have a fair opinion; would suggest a 100% inheritence tax cant work as it'd surely just get circumvented by people signing over their assets to beneficiaries well before they pass away, in a Shawshank style "do you trust your wife" kinda deal? Edit: which tbf could then fall under the scope of capital gains tax at some point i suppose
  9. Which is pretty much what the pundits wanted and why they were for it, i reckon. They did it anyway tbf, but my gut feeling is broadcasters can pad out programming a lot easier with """analysis""" of refereeing decisions thanks to VAR than the actual fucking football. Sort of get it if its a dull 0-0 and theres one or two decisions to scrutinise, but its just going to be a circus more often than not.
  10. Not official until Ludo does it imo, think Arbroath game is last chance saloon, anything other than a win and he's toast. Does feel inevitable so i get why the thread is up though. Would guess it'll be something like Alan Archibald taking over as caretaker as means he wouldnt need paid off, probably Doolan in as an assistant or something too if Scally goes with McCall.
  11. Trust the process. Trust the Barclays. What an absolute fairytale it is to have Arsenal top of the table. If they can bring home the title (home being the 60,000+ seater, £390M+ United Arab Emirates Arena), it'd be a truly seismic win for the little guy everywhere and/or venture capitalists everywhere.
  12. Caldwell went after a 1-1 with Arbroath I think, so we may well be near the end in similar fashion. edit: would imagine it'll be a mutually consent'ed job if he does go, but the coaching team patently aren't good enough to fix this so yeah, death spiral it is baby, wooooo
  13. Earlier in the season there was a bit of confidence and we were at least good at keeping hold of the ball even under some pressure; as the confidence has eroded theres been noticeably more and more panicky clearances/long balls to nobody. If Morton get their pressing right (its probably all they really even have to do, we'll contrive to give away a soft goal from a cross at some point) we'll get nothing from this. I'd probably stop with the inside forward faffery at this point tbh, get tiffoney/fitzpatrick (assuming hes match ready by now!?) right side and lawless down the left w/ mcmillan and milne supporting *on paper* should create chances for dowds/graham and someone like turner or mckinnon from midfield. AND NO FUCKING CAMMY SMITH
  14. I read this in a Frank Reynolds "WHEN IM DEAD JUST THROW ME IN THE TRASH" voice
  15. All three of those goals are worse than i thought at the time - no-one goes out to mcmullan for the first, and a decent keeper catches or at least punches away that cross; hell even a cynical keeper makes it look more like a foul than it is (Tomas Cerny would 100% have won a free kick from that ) - complete and utter scrapfest at the corner, ball tapped in from the goalline then muirhead loses the rag - nice cutback for the third but as before, its gone right through mitchell
  16. Yea think ill give firhill a miss for the rest of the month, has a very death spirally feel to it Conceding from yet another fucking corner should really see at least one of mccall/scally/archie punted. Shouldnt be happening to a pro team, isnt getting any better and its costing us. Keeper and an older head centre half ASAP pls, mitchell is fine if we're in control of the ball but ive zero confidence in him when its backs to the wall time
  17. Not at all, im extremely sorry to read that you and your family have to deal with a cancer diagnosis. Every cancer is different, and i hope your dad will respond well to any treatment he can get no matter what stage its at. Marie Curie are on hand, and i cant speak highly enough of them - if you/your dad feel up to it they're well worth a call. Possibly the Beatson too, i think they can chase up about treatment on his behalf with the CHI number. Macmillan were good for emotional support with me too, only the one call i made in the end but i vented for half an hour over the phone to them and felt slightly better after it. Not much better, just to manage expectations, but slightly is better than nothing. It might help.
  18. I really want this game to just be some kind of wild ride where Madrid keep getting penalties every few minutes Then Celtic get one and its overturned by VAR pls
  19. Kind of unlucky at the pen even though its a stonewaller, bit of a sclaff into the deck which caught the defender out. Lol all the same
