  2. Don't think the Ukrainians are allowed to use anything NATO supplied that deep into Russian territory, but I guess they do have Soviet era missiles that could do that sort of thing.
  3. Belated due to internet issues well away from Scotland:
  4. Was it not his rifle and he shot himself through the head with it? Quite grim and best avoided. Meanwhile near Bakhmut:
  5. Bad news for anyone who uses the Kerch Bridge regularly basically.
  6. Yes, given there are 36 games, and Edinburgh College and West Calder can't both reach 66 points due to playing each other in one of the remaining fixtures.
  7. Clubs have been told it will open up again in the autumn so that's not accurate. Bear in mind what has been paused is accepting new applications. Those already in the system could still be processed even if the pause lasts a little longer than that.
  8. They had all the policy documents on their website that clubs going for licensing tend to add the last time I checked.
  9. The two issues are not in any way connected. You are quite simply wrong when you state that the LL's approach would apply at any level. Check out the EoS premier. Even though there was no guaranteed promotion for their champion into the LL, they will have four clubs promoted into their division this season and will relegate three out of sixteen.
  10. This is a club that is often rumoured to be about to fold because there is no committee available to run them. Odds on the only people that are willing to do it at this point are disaffected Postal United/Edinburgh City/FC Edinburgh fans.
  11. Yes, unless Abbey Vale lose by 26 goals to Stranraer Reserves on Monday evening and Creetown then beat Linlithgow Rose over two legs in the promotion playoff. That effectively means yes in other words.
  12. How can I possibly compete with such an incisive analysis? Haud oan here goes, in every other division of the SPFL the last placed team is automatically relegated. Why would anyone want a different outcome in League 2 beyond sheer selfishness and self-preservation? I am not at all keen on Spartans for a variety of reasons but they should have already earned their promotion in the penalty shootout yesterday.
  13. I'm in my mid-50s. I can remember clubs like Berwick Rangers, East Stirlingshire, Montrose and Cowdenbeath being in the top two tiers after reconstruction, but never Albion Rovers. I can remember your club being in the top ten in the 1980s albeit very briefly, but I think you need to go back to the late 1940s to get to a time when Albion Rovers were in the old first division. Maybe it's time somebody else had a chance to give it a go?
  14. 3-1 on promotions (Edinburgh City, Kelty Hearts, Bonnyrigg Rose vs Cove Rangers)
  15. Next week: East Kilbride vs Stirling Uni Cumbernauld Colts vs BUs if I am understanding this webpage correctly: https://slfl.co.uk/lowland-league-cup/
  16. Albion Rovers are the definition of SPFL deadwood so guess it's better if Spartans go up. If they do, 5 out of 20 in Leagues One and Two next season will have got there through the playoff.
  17. Guess Brechin will be hoping for the Conference abomination to happen now.
  18. Spartans lose 3-2 but then get through on pens so Edinburgh Uni won't be relegated:
  19. Elsewhere barring a freak result in Abbey Vale's last game, Lithgae are automatically promoted now:
  20. That was always the danger for Albion Rovers once Elgin had nothing to play for. Think Bonnyrigg should strengthen from here in future seasons once they can spend more money on their squad rather than their ground.
  21. Don't think there's much doubt that this is where the Ukrainians will attack eventually. Probably more about being able to have a free fire zone where they can shoot anything that moves without worrying about civilians.
  22. If you are going to get relegated losing 3-0 to Vale of Leithen is the way to go out in style: A local derby with Whitburn next season. Despite all the shenanigans with dumping the West Lothian junior clubs in a fourth tier, the years soon pass and clubs will find their natural level.
