  1. Hopefully you'll get up one way or the other, Forfar & Alloa are my favourite away days of those currently in the seaside leagues.
  2. I'm not even convinced that that would mask the reek.
  3. Not now, they won't want documentary evidence of them throwing the league in an attempt to be in the money-spinning playoffs.
  4. I'd have to be emaciated or out my fucking box to eat a sausage roll from Greggs.
  5. I would be disappointed if Scottish produce wasn't promoted separately as it is a well known and superior brand in its own right.
  6. An out of shape Lennox Lewis isn't half towering over Fury.
  7. I think Glasgow Prestwick' old slogan was catchier than JFK', there will be crashes all the time as drivers try to read that pish splattered across their terminal building.
  8. I love knockouts, I just don't like watching fighters risking a knockout themselves when they've got the fight at their mercy if they box smart. As you will probably know from boxing yourself and being around ex boxers, you've a long hard slog in life after boxing if your head takes too much punishment, that's the side that most punters don't really see, I've seen the effects in later life on ABA champions, Scottish,British,Commonwealth and World pro champions, I'd never call for boxing to be banned due to the dangers as it can be such a great sport but I don't mind the more skillful boxer taking a fairly comfortable but dull win over throwing the kitchen sink in an attempt at getting a knockout.
  9. Don't agree, injured or not, Bellew at no point should be charging in to stop a heavy-handed heavyweight, he proved early on that he was able to take Hyes punches when he was moving away from Haye, why would he want to charge in and add impetus to any big punch that Haye might throw, Lewis showed the way to deal with dangerous opponents when he refused to dive in against a seemingly hurt Holyfield, really wish more boxers would learn to control their egos and stop feeling like they need to stop fights to impress punters, retiring unharmed with plenty of cash should be the aim of any boxer where possible.
  10. Which parts do you disagree with and why?
  11. From the 3rd there was only going to be one outcome in the Haye fight, with the benefit of hindsight Haye lost the fight before he entered the ring, you just can't keep swinging huge hooks that miss comfortably without running out of gas. I thought Bellew made the mistake of trying far too hard to knock Haye out in rounds 6 & 7, he just knackered himself out rather than conserve energy by fighting at longer range and picking his punches far better, I don't really bother with the cards after 5 rounds as it was 58-56 or 57-56 after 6, regardless of any injury in the 6th Bellew thrashed him in the round, even an uninjured Haye only had a punchers chance after round 6 IMHO. I got ridiculed by my sons for suggesting that Haye in rounds 1-3 or Bellew to win at 11/10 was the value bet of the fight as they couldn't see how Bellew would still be there after 3 rounds, far too many people underestimated the detrimental effects on Haye of only having 7 minutes of pub fights in 5 years. Personally I think Bellew has enough defensive nouse to win a belt at heavyweight so long as he can get an opponent similar in height and reach who isn't any snappier than Haye, he really did make Haye miss by huge margins with a lot of his bigger punches.
  12. Can't tell you what to do but you really need to find things that float your boat and/or techniques that help reduce the boredom to an manageable level. As someone who spent all my life from 14 to 38 consumed with gambling I'll never find anything in life(mariage,births,kids/grandkids achievemants etc) that give me anywhere near the same buzz, meditation played a huge part in me quieting my brain down.
  13. What the f**k are Beardsley and Painter doing in Montrose.
  14. 1/8 2/15 and 1/7 shots have been beaten in the last week or so.
  15. Willie Limond nearly knocked him out and he didn't have a stellar record of stopping low level fighters when they fought. Khan has strengthened a fair bit since then but Limond is more than a fair bit away from Pacman, Khan may well beat Manny but it'll almost certainly come about by making Manny miss a high % of his power punches not by going toe to toe and taking loads of punishment.
  16. You don't need much power to knock Khan out, just the ability to land a decent amount of punches to his head.
  17. Straight relegation/promotion is very boring on a cold and windy day.
  18. I have no agenda, Hampden is no longer fit for purpose.
  19. That's why I don't mind Ferguson's, his appear genuine.
  20. I actually like Derek's naivety, he must be the only one who regularly attends lots of diddy and 20's and under games, it's quite refreshing as he genuinely doesn't always talk about the Old Firm, the others appear to have copied his excitement when goals go in.
  21. The 2 inch reach difference would be more than made up with Mayweather' class. You just have to look at the poorness of Aldo's defence(unbeaten in 10 years) to see that MMA is nowhere near the standard of boxers like Mayweather. A 28 year old Money v a 28 year old McGregor would be like a cat playing with a mouse.
