  1. God knows how Jamie George has gone from skippering the Lions against the Sharks 3 weeks ago to being 3rd choice behind Owens and LCD.
  2. Very surprised that Duhan has kept his place. Thought Hamish would at least have been on the bench, not really surprised at the others dropping out. Ken Owens though. [emoji85]
  3. Stunning performances. Kyron McMaster from the British Virgin Islands ran the 8th fastest time ever and wasn't even close to getting a medal in 4th place.
  4. 4-1 Brazil and they head for the final where they will face Japan or Spain. I don't mind football being in the Olympics but on the men's side especially it should be strictly under 23s, get the overage players binned.
  5. And repeat. 2-0 Brazil after 2 kicks each.
  6. Brazil score, Mexico miss.
  7. Women's 800m final is at 1.25 pm with 3 GB runners in it. Jemma Reekie has the 3rd highest world ranking of the runners in the race, but Keeley Hodgkinson has had a phenomenal year. Mexico v Brazil into penalties.
  8. Didn't see that, only the clip of the crash. McCormack well beaten in the boxing by Iglesias, adding another gold to the light welterweight one he won in London.
  9. Nope, he has hardly troubled Iglesias at all.
  10. There's absolutely no onus on the British rider to move over, so it's up to the chasing rider to avoid him. The Danes are claiming the pistol went off signalling they had caught him before the crash. Ultimately neither team finished the race so they have to decide whether the catch was good or the Danes caused the crash. The UCI tweeted hours ago that the Danes were through.
  11. McCormack getting outclassed by the Cuban here.
  12. Mexico vs Brazil has been a dire game of football. GB's Pat McCormack fights soon in his welterweight final, on Eurosport 1 just now. He's on after this heavyweight semi final.
  13. Warholm is astonishingly good, he's been on top form coming in to this having set the world record at the start of July.
  14. Australian's all over the place in the bronze medal race in the men's team sprint, the 3 riders were never together, France win it easily.
  15. That's another superb ride by the Germans, another world record, they've taken 6 seconds off it in the last couple of days. Denmark go through in the mens pursuit.
  16. Would be some effort for the women to beat the Germans.
  17. You are right that he wasn't on screen for long, but he did get his name on the poster.
  18. David Law was best placed Scot in Northern Ireland at the weekend with a tied 14th finish. That moved him up to 127th on the Race to Dubai, which is last place at the moment for keeping his card for next year. On to the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews this weekend, hopefully some of the Scots can put on a decent performance at home.
  19. Just watched the rerun of the women's +87kg combined weightlifting in which GB's Emily Campbell won silver. The Chinese lass who won gold waa so much better than the rest of the field that she didn't even start lifting in the clean and jerk section until everyone else was out. Campbell's 3rd and final lift was 161kg, the winner lifted 162kg on her first go, set a new OR with her second, then broke it again with her third and final lift of 180kg.
  20. No, she would only have been 4th.
  21. German lass takes gold, her horse cleared everything by a mile tbf.
