  1. Second round of the Olympic golf was cut short by the weather with Schauffele in the lead by one. His only swing coach has been his German born dad, who was a highly rated prospect for the decathlon in his youth and dreamed of going to an Olympics. His dream was cut short though after he was in a car crash aged 20, and a piece of glass lodged in his eye causing him to lose the sight of that eye. He's finally got there as part of Shuffles coaching bubble.
  2. Miles Harrison will be back on commentary for the 3rd test.
  3. That's 4 different models in the picture. T100 at the bottom, T100S next up, T200 then the T300 at the top. All aimed at different standards of golfer.
  4. The new Titleist irons look rather nice.
  5. Some Scottish involvement in the women's rugby sevens.
  6. Murray and Salisbury beaten by the Croatian pair of Ciiic and Dodig, they won the first set, lost thd second in a tiebreak, then lost the decisive Champion's tiebreak 10-7. It's been a decent performance by them considering it's their first tourney together and the lack of decent preparation.
  7. A humping for the 7s in the semi final by a far superior All Black's team. They will almost certainly play Argentina in the bronze medal match.
  8. Affordable Golf have a decent second hand section, but sometimes not all that cheap.
  9. Daniel Kilgore announces his retirement.
  10. GB's women get a deflected equaliser from Caroline Weir to tie things at 1-1 against Canada late in the game. GB go through as group winners if they don't lose.
  11. He still has to clear the daily concussion protocols as well as pass a final check by an independent medical assessor.
  12. I went to Ibrox both days at the Commonwealth Games, my missus came with me on the Sunday. She knows a little about football and even less about rugby but she loved it. The fact the atmosphere was great and you could drink a cider in your seat certainly helped tbf.
  13. Murray and Salisbury win the tiebreak 7-2 to head into the next round where they face either the USA's Ram and Tiafoe or Croatia's Cilic and Dodig.
  14. Shock defeat for Naomi Osaka in the tennis, losing to world number 42 Marketa Vondrousova in straight sets. Murray and Salisbury won the first set 6-2, but it was all square in the second at 5-5. Edit: Goes into a second set tiebreak.
  15. Play the USA in the quarter final at 10.00 am. Winner goes on to play either New Zealand or Canada in the semi final.
  16. A gold and a silver in the men's 200 freestyle, but it wasn't the order Duncan Scott would have wanted as team mate Tom Dean pipped him. Dean had been right up there all the way through, but Scott came powering through on the final length and looked to be going ahead, but Dean managed to hang on to win by a bawhair. Edit: 0.04 seconds was the time gap between them.
  17. Amateur hour all round then.
  18. Ffs, officials are doing great in Tokyo, this coming after somebody started the triathlon last night with a big f**k off motorboat blocking half the field.
  19. The Nedbank Classic at Sun City in November has been cancelled due to SA's ongoing Covid situation. It's fairly good news as it means we won't have to suffer the usual 4 day wankfest over Gary Player.
  20. Caught a bit of the final of the women's street skateboarding earlier, best 4 scores out of 7 tricks count. At one point it looked like anybody getting 4 scores in would win a medal. 2 13 year olds among the medallists with Japan getting gold and bronze and Brazil silver. Kudos to the lass from the Phillipines who spent most of the final bouncing around on her arse or her face but did so with a huge smile.
