  1. I still haven't had anybody come up with a good suggestion as to what the point of playing with no fans would be, that's before you look at the financial implications of no matchday income for an unspecified period of time. I did make a suggestion to one of our top table that we should look to start the leagues in February/March, and play right through until April/May 2022. That would give enough time to fit in the full league campaigns as originally planned for all 4 divisions/conferences, and fit in cup ties.
  2. You would also expect him to have a cannula for any IV treatments, and it would normally be put in the back of the hand.
  3. Quite alarming that this is the case tbh. Given that any change seems to take 3 or 4 weeks to implement it gives me no confidence at all that fans will be allowed in to games this side of New Year.
  4. It's only one week in Glasgow, and it is a holiday for staff. In service day on Friday for training.
  5. I wouldn't bet on it quite yet, fully expecting a "circuit break" to be announced tomorrow. How far that might go remains to be seen. I do agree about the fans thing though.
  6. Question 1, should the season start on 24th October with the current restrictions that are in place? Clubs to vote yes or no. Question 2, IF the majority of clubs answer no to question 1, should the league be paused for the time being and start if/when restrictions are eased, or should the season be cancelled and restart for season 21/22?
  7. Here's the photo finish, it got worse for Alaphillipe as he was relegated to 5th fir his move across in the sprint.
  8. Alaphillipe wins Liege-Bastogne-Liege. Or at least he thought he had, Roglic pipped him on the line after he celebrated too early.
  9. Somebody really needs to tell the Man United defence that just because you can play goal kicks short and try and play out from the back, you aren't actually obliged to do it every single time. It's hilarious to watch tbf.
  10. Yep, couldn't see him missing that one.
  11. Lowest points total for an EPL season was Derby's 11 points in 07/08. Can Fulham get more points than that? Early days but the signs aren't promising so far. Though it should be said Sheffield Utd don't look much better at the moment.
  12. Nadal hasn't broke sweat yet, and not just because of the cold. Another regulation straight sets win this morning over Sebastian Korda, only dropping 4 games.
  13. Lucas Herbert was 41 at the turn yesterday, 31 today to get him back in a tie for the lead. Wonder when anybody last won a tourney after hitting a 79 along the way.
  14. Was going to post the same, little wonder so many players want lessons from him, his swing is as smooth as they come.
  15. She has long been a fuckwit of the highest order. I haven't seen anybody that has been advocating "packing in fans", only people pushing for a return of limited crowds like the rest of Europe seems to be doing.
  16. Just watched the highlights of the Scottish Open, that looked grim tbf. Eddie Pepperell tweeted that it was the wettest he has ever been coming off a golf course, while Westwood and Colsaerts both tweeted clips of them trying to dry out their shoes with a hairdryer. Been a long time since I patched a round of golf because of the weather, but I took a dive on Saturday morning. It was a Texas Scramble, and when i turned up at 11 one of the team was already there, but with the course starting to flood we both thought there was little point going out, third team member appeared just after me and agreed. Got a message about 1 to say it had been abandoned, we would have been 8 or 9 holes in by then.
  17. Aye, fear the worst for tomorrow too. Was always going to be risky having it this late but they couldn't really do anything else tbf.
  18. They are going to try again with the T20 blast finals day at Edgbaston tomorrow.
