  1. Heard that earlier, and with that rule in place Somerset did the only thing they could to give themselves a chance, as they had to give themselves enough time to try and take 10 wickets.
  2. The final of the Bob Willis trophy has been a very good game with day 5 live on the BBC Sport website. Somerset scored 301 in their first innings, with Essex hitting 337-8dec in reply, with Alistair Cook scoring 172. Somerset then declared on 272-7 setting Essex a last day run chase of 237 to win. They are currently 61-2 at lunch.
  3. Missy still hasn't got the hang of this sunbathing lark. She'll lie on her perch at the window for too long, then realises she is too hot and flops down in a heap on the floor.
  4. It's the only logical explanation. My mate's daughter is studying at Glasgow Caley and she was told almost right from the start that they would not be back on campus until next year.
  5. We have the bizarre situation at the moment where play is suspended on Suzanne Lenglen as Azarenka pretty much decided she wasn't playing in a bit of drizzle. Play still going on on every other court She even flung in a "it's too cold, I live in Florida" whine for good measure.
  6. Impressive stuff from Anna Van Der Breggen yesterday to ride away from the field and add the road race to her TT title. This was a superb bit of camera work though.
  7. As I've mentioned before, my Uncle is a Chiefs season ticket holder, he's often been bemused that some of the Exeter players are overlooked for England squads, but admits it has certainly helped them in the Premiership.
  8. You would have to ask them that question.
  9. I certainly haven't publicised any of our games, apart from today's against Glasgow Uni as they tweeted about it yesterday.

    Week 3

At least 13 starters out if you include the ones on IR and PUP. [/url]
  11. Yep, most national league and several national north and south clubs are full time professional, so any comparison with Scottish non league really is comparing apples and pears. Can't see any way Scottish non league clubs would be given any government assistance.

Aye, with Mullens under centre the 49ers will probably run it even more than usual.
  13. You forget how long it is since live cricket was regularly on terrestrial TV. https://twitter.com/tmsproducer/status/1309473139781439491?s=19
  14. World TT champ Chloe Dygert had a really bad crash as she tried to defend her title yesterday. She tweeted a picture of the damage, feel free to go and search it out if you like. [emoji33] The crash is in the highlights here. World Road Championships: Anna Van der Breggen wins world time trial after Chloe Dygert crash - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/cycling/54287091 ETA: she had no chance, apparently her back tyre punctured as she was going round a downhill right hander.
  15. Certainly hope not. It would be very hard to justify as long as pubs and restaurants are allowed to stay open.
  16. Both graphs clearly show cases were on the rise before Scottish schools returned around 11th August, and there would be several days time lag before any in school transmissions would translate into positive tests English schools didn't go back until late August/early September, exponential increase had already started before then.
  17. She was due back in court yesterday but failed to appear, citing Covid symptoms. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18736208.jill-sharp-misses-court-date-waiting-coronavirus-test-results/?fbclid=IwAR2_FbVJ6nfiH6nr0FlBUEr36tu-DYiXxSeDEYn-jRoDEiXJe5MM4CMPVyU
  18. She was due in court again for breaching the terms of her previous court order, but failed to appear as she claimed to be suffering from Covid symptoms. #covidmoments https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18736208.jill-sharp-misses-court-date-waiting-coronavirus-test-results/?fbclid=IwAR2_FbVJ6nfiH6nr0FlBUEr36tu-DYiXxSeDEYn-jRoDEiXJe5MM4CMPVyU
  19. If you mean just yesterday, then yes. Bosa and Thomas both tore ACLs and are done for the season. Mostert suffering from an MCL strain and probably out next week, compounded by the fact his wife is due to give birth within days and it had already been agreed that he can attend the birth. Garropolo has a high ankle sprain but they think he will be ok for next Sunday. Coleman still awaiting his MRI as the 49ers are using a mobile unit as they are staying on the east coast and it is suffering "mechanical issues DJ Jones and Dre Greenlaw also injured yesterday but finished the game.
