  1. I for one am astonished at that outcome...
  2. Zverev comes back from a set down to beat Coric 3-1.
  3. Scottie Scheffler could be one to keep an eye on. Qualified for the PGA Tour after coming top of the Korn Ferry tour last year, made 18 cuts from 23 events with 7 top 10s. Last night's bonus takes him over $5m dollars for the season.
  4. DJ wins by 3 in the end, here's the list of bonus money.
  5. Thomas bogeys 17 to just about hand it to DJ.
  6. Another from the collection of shots by the pros to make you feel better...
  7. Yep, last night made it 15 out of 15 sub par rounds for him at East Lake in the Tour Championship.
  8. Fwiw I agree that 10 shots is too much of a start, 5 would be plenty. Imo only the top 10 should get a start, something like. Fedex leader starts on -5 2nd on -4 3rd and 4th on -3 5th, 6th and 7th on -2 8th, 9th and 10th on -1 Rest on level par.
  9. This was how it looked at the end of the round. It kind of disproves your point that DJ was playing "pretty average". Schauffele playing well as he is unburdened of ne having backed him. We'll see what happens at the US Open when I stick a couple of quid on him.
  10. I had no idea this c**t stayed in Scotland tbh.
  11. Ouch. Tbf I played with a 1 handicapper a few weeks back who was 5 off the tee at our 7th hole, his 3rd attempt was so far right he cleared the hazard he had put the first 2 in. I topped an iron so badly on the 17th tee yesterday that for a heart stopping moment it looked like it might not even make it over the end of the tee box. I have no idea how the f**k I managed it. I somehow managed to make a bogey 4 from there.
  12. Guessing they will both be USA bound now to quarantine ahead of the US Open starting on the 17th. Been a good run for Syme lately, he's up to 40th on the Road to Dubai rankings.
  13. Feel your pain. I was a disgraceful 54 at the turn yesterday, then ran up a 7 on the 10th after scudding a belter of a drive right down the middle of the fairway. On 11, half decent drive, then hit a beauty of a blind second shot to 3 feet and rolled in the putt. 44 back 9 giving me a paltry 31 stableford points, 11 on the front 9, 20 coming back. Handicap back up to 21 again. [emoji17]
  14. I was just wondering what odds a Gasly-Sainz-Stroll 123 would have been. Off the charts I would think.
  15. Stupid mistake to make. He drove it through the fairway to almost the same spot the day before, but managed to make birdie. Sensible play would have been to ease back a bit with the driver or go with 3 wood. Rory, Thomas and Rahm all made a bit of a hash of the closing holes last night.
  16. Which shows how little attention I've paid to the Fedex the last few years.
  17. Ian Bell announces his retirement. Over 20k first class runs, a superb player.
  18. I've always thought that at international level you either devise a system then pick the best players to fit that system, or you pick your best players and devise a system to get the best out of them. We don't seem to do either. I can't fathom why we consistently shoehorn players in to positions other than their natural one.
