  1. When the cat feels you are giving the laptop more attention than her.
  2. And sadly, Russell Knox slips out of the top 125 and misses out in the Fedex playoffs, but luckily will keep his card due to the PGA taking the decision that nobody would lose their card due to the curtailed season.
  3. Jim Herman wins the Wyndham Rewards. With 4 holes to go on Friday he was missing the cut, then birdied 3 of the last 4 holes to make the weekend. He then shot 61-69 over the weekend to beat Billy Horschel by 1. Despite Wyndham offering huge bonuses, none of the Fedex leaders bothered their arses showing up, Justin Thomas trousering €2m sitting in the house.
  4. My mate has played Bethpage Black. Loved it and hated it in equal measure.
  5. Straight from the Daniel James playbook.
  6. Syme finished T3, but will be disappointed after holding the 54 hole lead. Sam Horsfield was impressive coming down the stretch, one bad tee shot from which he managed to save par, but he never looked like slipping up. His last 3 weeks have been win, missed cut, win, which nobody has ever done on consecutive weekends on the European Tour before.
  7. Drops a shot on the driveable 15th to slip to 3rd, 3 off the lead.
  8. Syme 2 behind with 4 to play.
  9. Final 3 ball group today took 5hrs 16 minutes to go round. Closer to 6 hours in the first rounds. Why have slow play rules and not use them? Connor Syme was the overnight leader at Celtic Manor, but now trails by 3 after 8 holes with play suspended due to the threat of lightning.
  10. Everything that is wrong with women's golf in one picture. A four way playoff should be gripping, but this is boring as f**k. Fortunately the girl in the pic missed out by a shot.
  11. Watching some of the Women's Scottish Open, god it's painfully slow. Final group have been put on the clock as there was over a clear hole in front of them.
  12. Can't remember who I heard on Tuffers and Vaughan a wee while back, but they were still hoping he might return to at least some form of international cricket. Tbf, I think that was largely down to him not actually announcing his retirement rather than any hints from Dhoni. Very little play today, but Shaheen and Abbas had England at 7-1 when bad light initially stopped play, with rain coming on soon after. Burns the man out edging Shaheen to second slip. Can they call it a draw tonight? Rain forecast to stay on for most of the afternoon.
  13. They are still trying to play the same way they did with the likes of Puyol, Xavi and Iniesta in the team, but without players of anywhere the same class in the team. Friday's performance was an utter shambles, it looks like the senior players don't fancy the manager, but some of them should be first out the door as they are well past their prime. Transfers have been a mystery. They've signed 2 of the top 4 most expensive players in history in the last few years, one of them didn't get on the pitch on Friday, while the other was instrumental in helping Bayern complete a humping of them. Even better, it seems that if Coutinho wins the CL with Bayern, Barca will need to pay Liverpool €5m as the clause in his transfer deal was player specific rather than club specific. On top of that you have Griezman and de Jong who Setien doesn't seem to have any clue as to how to use them. Reports are that Bartomeo wants Pochettino, but the rest of the board aren't keen as they think the fans won't accept him due to comments he made when he was at Espanyol that he would never manage Barca.
  14. Roglic not starting the final stage.
  15. Billy Connolly and Margaret Thatcher both trending on Twitter which was a tad worrying. Fortunately Billy is still very much alive and the witch is still dead.
  16. Complete washout today, draw looks an absolute certainty. Elsewhere, MS Dhoni announceded his retirement from international cricket, and not long after that Suresh Raina also announced the same. Two big holes to fill for India.
  17. Seen a clip of it on Twitter, lucky lucky boy.
  18. Xavi has been touted as a possible replacement, but it looks a tough gig for a rookie boss as there are a handful of senior players who are now past there prime. Luis Enrique should be high up the list, but will probably be overlooked again. Pochettino is still unemployed but he won't be as highly thought of as he was this time last year.
  19. Definitely looks that way. Some strange transfer decisions haven't helped either. They signed Griezmann and de Jong and Setien doesn't seem to know where to play them. They haven't looked solid at the back since Puyol retired, and some of their attempts to play out from the back tonight were comical.
  20. Embarassing stuff from the Barca players, long time since I've seen a whole team just down tools mid game like that.
