  1. Couldn't get that link to work the other night, I had only seen the previous statement saying there would be "promotion and relegation across all 3 conferences", which isn't quite the same as saying all 3 winners will be guaranteed to go straight up.
  2. I know my own personal opinion is that although I'm sorely disappointed that the conferences right across the board didn't happen, I think we will have a better chance of competing to win the conference we are in than we might have had of a top 4 finish if we had the teams who are in the tier 6 league to compete with. As somebody posted earlier, if it had been 4 conferences you would have to be in the top 16 teams to claim a top division spot, now we only need to be joint 21st best. One thing that could help appease folk would be quick confirmation that the 3 conference winners will be automatically promoted to tier 6.
  3. So despite the conferences being announced, it would appear it's not all sweetness and light quite yet. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/exclusive-shotts-plot-west-scotland-21976824
  4. Yep, the daily death numbers had fallen for a few days, but started to rise again at the end of last week.
  5. America heading for 25k new infections and 3k deaths per day and they decide it's a good time to start winding down the coronavirus task force.
  6. And guess where I have a holiday booked for October?
  7. I really don't see where the "horrific" travel thing comes from. 63 of the teams were already playing in all in West Region leagues. The 4 new teams come from Glasgow (x2, although 1 playing at Airdrie), Kilmarnock and Eastwood/Newton Mearns, and St. Cadoc's confirmed today that they will be playing at McKenna Park. So nobody is facing a longer trip than they potentially could have faced in the old set up. It's unfortunate that a couple of teams have ended up in conferences that will see them rack up a fair few miles, but the same could have happened in the old leagues.
  8. Luke Donald named as a Ryder Cup VC. They pretty much had to after Harrington fucked it up in an interview and gave his name away. [emoji23]
  9. Finished After Life, a lot to like about it but felt it could have been better. Paul Kay's psychiatrist character added nothing to the show imo. Annette Crosbie playing the 100 year old woman was on of the highlights of the series for me. Reminded me so much of my granddad when he made it past 90. "All my pals are dead, I don't know any c**t." I lost my Dad just over 2 years ago, so some of the last 2 episodes brought back a lot of not so good memories. One thing that did raise a smile though was Penelope Wilton and Peter Egan walking off together at the end. Back in the day of 4 channels and 1 tv in the house, my Dad used to watch Ever Decreasing Circles, just found it ironic that those 2 actors wandered off together, albeit as different characters, 30 odd years later.
  10. I was gutted when he was allowed to leave the Bay, still irks me to this day. He's just a solid consistent performer, hand him the ball and he gains you yards, maybe not explosive 25-30 yard runs, but enough to keep the chains moving.
  11. Frank Gore refuses to retire just yet, and will sign a 1 year deal with the Jets for his 16th season in the league.
  12. "O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us To see oursels as ithers see us!" https://www.smh.com.au/world/europe/biggest-failure-in-a-generation-where-did-britain-go-wrong-20200428-p54o2d.html
  13. Being pedantic I know, but it's the press who don't seem to realise that the feeder leagues are senior, not me.
  14. I would presume it would be Kelty and Brora, who "won" the lowland and highland leagues, and in normal circumstances would have played each other with the winner facing Brechin.
  15. UCI calendar as it stands at the moment..
  16. Never expected to find Dominic Cummings posting on P&B tbh.
  17. I certainly know a couple of workmates who are spending the money refunded from cancelled holidays on their gardens instead.
  18. We haven't had Ayrshire or Central teams for a couple of years, just West ones. Tough one for Ardrossan tbf, but Maryhill have a similar load of travelling in Conference A.
  19. Conferences to be announced this evening, all junior teams allocated to a conference based on their final placing that was calculated on PPG. Serpentine method used to allocate them, which would mean the attached picture is correct apart from the 3 new teams, who will be drawn into a conference in a live zoom meeting later.
