  1. Should have went inside instead of pishing in the driveway.
  2. I'm not sure exactly how long it lasted, how many teams entered or on what criteria, but we only played in it a couple of times. The amount cup ties back then is crazy. For a couple of years at least there was the sectional, the central league cup and the Pintaman. In season 1968-69 we went out of the Pintaman in Round 1, losing 4-0 at Vale of Leven on Friday 9th May 1969. We went out of the Central League Cup in the 3rd Round at Glencairn 10 days later. That was the season the sectional league cup was introduced, and it was played at the end of the season, with our first match in the section taking place on Friday 23rd May, and the last on Sat 21st June. Lord knows when the later stages finished up. in 1969-70, we made the Quarter Finals of both the Central League Cup and the Pintaman, having lost to Shettleston in the final of the Sectional League Cup which had now shifted to the start of the season. We lost both Quarter Finals at home, going down 2-1 to Cumbernauld in the Pintaman on Monday 1st June, and losing 3-2 to Dunoon Athletic on Wednesday 3rd June in the Central League Cup.
  3. Gary Anderson won't be able to compete in the PDC home tour event because his Wi-Fi is shite.
  4. 16th April was the date specifically mentioned for a review in the emergency legislation that was passed.
  5. It definitely is a thing, I spend half my working life bombing up and down the motorway in the Seat Ibiza diesels that the Glasgow Council home helps use. They only travel short distances between clients and the DPFs clog up all the time, they have to get very hot to burn off the accumulated soot. Usually a warning light would come on to let you know the DPF was sooting up though.
  6. Brian Dennehy no longer living in a Cocoon. Finds himself blacklisted at age 81.
  7. Just had a look at Glasgow and Edinburgh airport websites, hardly any flights are going, and the ones that are flying are mainly internal. Only international flight coming into Glasgow today was from Dublin.
  8. Utterly ludicrous that 15000 people a day are still flying into the UK with no checks whatsoever and no quarantine like other countries are doing.
  9. Can't be far off Phil McGobbledygook being allowed to ask a question.
  10. Seen a few articles that the current crisis could spell the end for the European Tour in it's current form. Chief Exec Keith Pelley has warned players to expect much reduced prize funds when they return, and that accepted luxuries like courtesy cars and player's lounges might have to go to save money. A merger with (effectively a takeover by) the PGA Tour might not be far away. https://www.bunkered.co.uk/golf-news/european-tour-will-look-radically-different-when-golf-resumes
  11. I don't think it's that unreasonable for Starmer to ask what the exit strategy is going to be. It's obviously going to be done in phases, and imo there won't be any let up in restrictions until mid to late May at the very earliest. Some businesses will take longer to get up and running again than others, while one obvious problem will be that there will be many people who will be unable to return to work without the schools/nurseries also being open. It will be interesting to see if any companies close offices after discovering they are paying for a building that they can function perfectly well with without, as everybody has been working from home.
  12. I was watching James May's people's cars yesterday, and they reckon that the first car seen by almost a third of the world's population was a US Army jeep.
  13. Donald obviously learned big numbers next to Priti Patel.
  14. I would agree that the death totals are not accurate, but they will be closer to being right than the reported total number of cases, which will be wrong by a much greater margin due to the lack of testing.
  15. Some of the officials, e.g. Secretary, Treaurer etc, are classed as being neutral and have no club affiliation. I think the President and VP are the only ones who are still tied to a club as they are only in office for a year.
  16. On the plus side, it was the first March since 2002 that there wasn't a school shooting in the US. Of course, it just so happens the schools were closed for most of it...
  17. Tarvaris Jackson killed in a car crash, aged 36. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001109122/article/former-nfl-qb-tarvaris-jackson-dies-in-car-crash
  18. It can certainly help develop strong wrists.
  19. Tudor Gammon were superb, closest I've found taste wise are Seabrook's Canadian Ham.
