  1. It would be a bit extreme to get relegated to League One just so Alegria can look good.
  2. My favourite question from the survey was what is your awareness and level of support of the England national team. Usually in these surveys you can get what they are looking for such as the questions in the post above about whether you'd like points for buying merchandise or whatever but I'm still confused as to what they get from any answers to the England question.
  3. They'll have supporters club renewals to sort out first at the end of the year so I would imagine early next year. With SSC members getting the discounts on individual tickets and the opportunity to buy the package for the group stage they need to get that done before they put the tickets on sale.
  4. If we do this when Collum retires he'd send off one of our players and leave them suspended for an important qualifier.
  5. Sneddon made some decent saves today to be fair to him. I'd keep him in until he merits dropping now but think McCall will go straight back to Mitchell.
  6. Who is at Dens for Open All Mics? On top of the Murphy stuff at half time Mulligan has somehow came back on the park after being subbed by Dundee and scored for Ayr.
  7. Did Goram, Durie and McCoist end up playing in the game at Pittodrie when they originally refused because of the initial clash with the day of Princess Diana's funeral?
  8. I was just having a nosey at the teams ranked around us for the euro 2024 qualifiers to see what their goalkeeping situations are like. McLaughlin and Kelly might not be ideal once Gordon retires but there's a number of pot 2 and pot 3 teams who seem to cope with goalkeepers that are either average at best or who don't play regularly at club level. Pot 2 France - Hugo Lloris Austria - New manager seems to have decided on Lindner who is 33 and plays for Sion who are 5th in the Swiss league rather than Bachmann who I think was first choice back when we played them. Czechia - Vaclik steady enough goalkeeper who plays regularly for Olympiakos England - Pickford and Ramsdale Wales - Hennessey who is Forest's backup and has played far more for Wales than at club level in the past 3 or 4 years Israel - Marciano formerly of Hibs Bosnia - Sehic plays regularly for Konyaspor in Turkey Serbia - Have recently been picking between Torino's first choice and Sevilla's back up Finland - Hradecky, regular first choice for Bayer Leverkusen Pot 3 Ukraine - Buschchan of Dynamo Kyiv seemed to be first choice but was injured for the recent games and didn't look great in June. 2nd choice is Lunin the Real Madrid backup Iceland - Runarsson who is out the picture at Arsenal and on loan to Alanyaspor Norway - First choice seems to be Nyland who was backup at Villa, Norwich and Bournemouth the last few seasons before finishing last season playing for Reading. Was without a club until Leipzig signed him as backup at the weekend because of injury Slovenia - Jan Oblak at Atletico Madrid Ireland - Gavin Bazunu at Southampton Albania - Berisha backup at Torino Montenegro - Mijatovic is out playing in Saudi Arabia Romania - Nita who now seems to be Sparta Prague's backup Sweden - Olsen, Villa backup Armenia - Yurchenko first choice for Pyunik in Armenia I'm sure I'll have missed a world class goalkeeper who has just been injured over the past few international windows in my quick cross referencing of Wiki and Soccerway but having an excellent goalkeeper seems to be the exception rather than the rule once you get beyond the big countries that are pot 1 or top end of pot 2.
  9. Much better, I can read it again on my laptop
  10. Andy Goram (1) and Andy Goram (2) is *chefs kiss* Not sure if it counts as he still travelled to play in the San Marino game a few days later but Ryan Fraser refused to be selected for Kazakhstan because they played on an artificial surface. He did later play for Scotland on an artificial surface away to the Faroe Islands. Edit - It was readable before the edit to put up a screenshot, now it's tiny even when zoomed in.
  11. and the away fixture at Inverness in March clashes with the Scotland v Cyprus game so I suspect that will end up on a Friday too.
  12. Local paper in Newcastle speculating that Anderson will be called up for the Turkey friendly. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/elliot-anderson-newcastle-united-scotland-25242753?fbclid=IwAR0rev0hAEIrv1buDPHXdDQIwo_LUCcnOo-sMhj3XWU7s7cSR9i2H9BKjHA
  13. Doak today in the UEFA Youth League v Rangers.
  14. Verona have just sacked their manager so that might be the end of their mental full backs ridiculously high up the pitch system for Josh Doig.
  15. It could be either but they are also building a new stadium in Limassol which should be ready by the time we play there which is a possibility. It still being the English school holidays when we play in Cyprus hasn't helped prices.
  16. Last time we were there we got 2,200 but if Norway want to give us the minimum then we'll only get around 1400. I'd guess if it's the upper end of that then it'd go as low as maybe 11 or 12 or at the lower end around 16 maybe.
  17. I had a look into when they've announced the stadium for recent competitive games excluding ones where there was no crowds due to COVID as they didn't have the same urgency to announce those venues. Typically they've announced the venue 4 months prior to the game so we could be waiting until June before we know. Occasionally they announce them further in advance but from what I can gather those tend to be if they are playing somewhere they haven't played in years such as when they played Switzerland last month in Zaragoza and they announced that in January (before they had even announced anything about the 2 June games which they done in February).
  18. With matchday 6 and 8 free the following European nations are available for friendlies on those dates . We have to play a friendly although it doesn't necessarily need to be against a UEFA nation. September 11th or 12th Hosts - Germany Group B - France Group C - England (12th only) Group D - Turkey Group E - Czech Republic Group F -Azerbaijan Group G - Hungary October 15th-17th Hosts - Germany Group B - France (16th or 17th) Group C - North Macedonia (17th only) Group D - Armenia Group E - Albania Group F - Estonia (16th or 17th) Group G - Bulgaria
  19. Every team has fans convinced it's to do with their group. There's Welsh fans thinking it's to do with Turkey v Armenia and Ireland fans thinking it's because they are playing France away the day before France are playing at home in the Rugby World Cup v the All Blacks.
  20. Wales have deleted their tweet that they aren't impacted.
