  1. Big Christy Manzinga signs for Linfield. Leaves Hartley, Ilic, Ferguson and Livingstone as those without clubs.
  2. Did Robinson not confirm that Mugabi hadn't been playing in the bounce games because he and Long were slightly behind everyone else rather than him being out of favour. Not that he'd come out and say he's not in his plans but you know what I mean. He missed the United game (as did Long) and was an unused sub against Rangers but played minutes against Killie and Accies. Pretty much this. The staggered start dates and late window closing means there's plenty opportunity to have them around the squad.
  3. I'm less convinced about Mugabi being someone we might try and move on at the moment - Dunne's still rehab-ing, Carroll's the same so that puts one of McGinley or Lamie at left back. In terms of right sided centre backs it's Gallagher and Mugabi - unless we chuck in David Devine or drop Donnelly in there which hasn't really worked pre-season. I thought as soon as Hastie signed then one of Hylton or Seedorf's cards were marked. Adding Long and Lang puts both miles from the first team. As far as MacIver and Semple go I suppose it depends on how the 9 man bench, 5 subs change affects our thinking. It's worth mentioning that the loan rules have changed for this season. Lets say our starting XI is: Carson; Grimshaw, Gallagher, Lamie, McGinley; Campbell, Donnelly, Turnbull; Lang, Long, Hastie... That still gives us 9 from these: Fox, Morrison; Mugabi; Maguire, Polworth, Semple; White, Hylton, Seedorf, Robinson, MacIver, Watt (Carroll - injured, Dunne - injured) plus Devine, Hussain and Cornelius from the reserves list.
  4. Here's our full squad btw: 1. Trevor Carson (2022) 2. Liam Grimshaw (2022) 3. Jake Carroll (2021) 4. Ricki Lamie (2022) 5. Nathan McGinley (2022) 6. Allan Campbell (2021) 7. Mark O'Hara (2022) 8. David Turnbull (2022) 9. Jordan White (2022) 11. Jake Hastie (season loan - 2021) 12. Scott Fox (2021) 13. 14. Jermaine Hylton (2021) 15. Barry Maguire (2022) 16. Bevis Mugabi (2021) 17. Sherwin Seedorf (2021) 18. Charles Dunne (January 2021) 19. Liam Polworth (2021) 20. Jamie Semple (2021) 21. Harry Robinson (TBC) 22. Liam Donnelly (2022) 23. PJ Morrison (TBC) 24. David Devine (2021) 25. Ross MacIver (2021) 26. Dean Cornelius (2021) 27. Max Johnston (TBC) 28. Yusuf Hussain (TBC) 29. Callum Lang (season loan - 2021) 30. 31. Declan Gallagher (2021) 32. Tony Watt (2021) 33. 34. 35. Sam Muir (2021) 36. Matthew McDonald (2021) 37. 38. Cammy Williamson (2021) 39. Findlay Cook (2021) 40. Paul Hale (2021) 41. 42. Lewis Robertson (2021) 43. Matthew Connelly (2021) 99. Christopher Long (2021) (Lifted from the official site First Team / Reserves - I've added Max Johnston in as he's been involved in the bounce games with #27)
  5. So this is where we're standing: OUT: First team: Gillespie (Newcastle), Tait (St Mirren), Ferguson, Hartley, Livingstone, Ilic, Manzinga, Ndjoli (loan ended), Aarons (loan ended) = 9 u20s: Hemfrey, Brown (Albion Rovers), Kettings, Starrs = 4 IN: Lamie, White, McGinley, Fox, O'Hara (loan made permanent), Hastie (season loan - Rangers), Lang (season loan - Wigan) = 7 Extended: First team: Dunne, Maguire, Long = 3 Reserves: Hussain, Morrison, Robinson = 3 Going by the official that's Morrison, Semple and MacIver promoted to the first team group.
  6. Pure guesswork from me but an initial loan with us taking his wage and an option to buy depending on what happens with Kipré might help them out? Doesn't help them in terms of cash on the barrelhead just now but if we shave points off our sell on it might work further down the line.
  7. I just saw that and this is a very accurate representation of my reaction...
  8. That was the assumption I was making as well. With the bodies we have at CB - Gallagher, Mugabi, Lamie, McGinley and Dunne (who's presumably still miles aff it) I can't really see Donnelly being anything other than extreme cover if the others are fit. What has interested me is that we've went with Lamie at CB and McGinley as LB. IIRC the chat from Livi fans was that Lamie was a better option at LB than CB while the clips of McGinley seemed to have him at CB more often than not with only the occasional game at LB. Putting 2+2 together I'd guess that the thinking may be that Gallagher + Lamie may have a better understanding on account of having played together so there's less to work on there. Strong Charlie Dunne vibes with McGinley at LB IMO.
  9. Going by our pre-season games I'd have said the only real questions are whether Polworth starts ahead of Turnbull and what our front 3 looks like - Long has pretty much missed most of our pre-season so is probably a fair bit behind the rest of the squad for fitness - then again he got an hour against Accies so maybe he's closer than I think. Carson Grimshaw Gallagher Lamie McGinley Campbell Donnelly Polworth Hastie White Watt Based purely on conceding 3 vs Killie (though we ended up conceding when we had a back 4 of teenagers), 4 vs Rangers and 2 vs Accies we've seemed pretty shaky at the back over the course of the bounce games especially without Gallagher in the side. I know a couple of our posters on here have had the pleasure of watching the BCD games so they should be able to say whether I'm wide of the mark on that. Grimshaw had a nightmare against Rangers, Lamie and McGinley are not long in the door while Carson hasn't played a competitive game since November 2018 on account of his DVT and the subsequent form of Gillespie last season. Given the weirdness of the whole situation I'd probably take a draw tbh.
  10. A message to Hearts fans from Ann Budge: Joint Club Statement - 3 hours earlier Also, did no one think to proof that Joint Statement? Fucking hell...
  11. I think that's actually where it'd be good to see some joined up thinking from the clubs and a bit of cooperation - they clearly don't need to but if say, Celtic (on the off chance it's not on Sky), can actively push the official Saints channel to view the game then given their reach even if 10% of their fanbase buy a stream then it puts the club in a position where they're not taking as much of a hit. You'll naturally lose a fair amount to "other" platforms whether it's IPTV or whatever but if you had the 12 clubs media/comms and the SPFL working off the same page it would be interesting to see what sort of numbers you'd see.
  12. For most clubs aye...St Johnstone charging £17.50 and Livi are £20. Div's got a thread on the P&B Twitter with the prices:
  13. PPV details announced - £12 per game (excluding Sky games - those are ST holder only)
  14. I hadn't really noticed until I re-posted it but Clark lying face first on the turf in the last couple of frames really makes the whole thing for me.
