  1. I don't think he's been scapegoated at all. Also, wrt. McGinty at the start of last season he was literally costing us a goal a game (sometimes two!). There were very few voices on the terraces defending him as it was impossible to do so. For my part, I am comparing Reading with what preceded him - Daniel Harvie. Initially, I thought Reading had the potential to have a similar trajectory to Harvie, but even at his best he has been dreadfully inconsistent. I was more prepared to put up with his inability to block a cross when he was bombing forward and putting crosses in. He's basically done none of that this season and he still cannot block a cross. He is consistently under the ball for headers, he cannot cut out a cross, he gives away possession far too easily and his decision making under pressure is horrendous. Every other team in the league exploits the weakness, I have no idea how he has been an ever-present or what Ecrepont did to not even get a look in. It is Bullen's biggest blind spot imo. Both fullbacks need replaced.
  2. Aye, I'd rather go down swinging than play turgid percentage football. Get intae these teuchter hammerthrowers, Ayr!
  3. I think a poster on this thread could use an enforced holiday from P&B.
  4. Some turnaround for Ding to tie the classical games. I thought he was a goner. Then in that last rapid game, incredible belief to play on when they had repeated twice. It was certainly exciting. I really enjoyed that World Championship it really did ebb and flow.
  5. Is everyone watching the World Championship tiebreaker?
  6. I thought he was alright. Mullen was trying to talk him through the game at times but made it a bit worse. I thought he was solid and on a par with Reading (Reading actually crossed the ball a couple of times yesterday and had a shot. Pretty rare occurrence this season).
  7. Wait, prison isn't the real world?
  8. Let's hope this goes the same way as that famous "A great feeling at..." thread. Thank you.
  9. I can relate. He is so slow in thought and action. When he shot in the second half, I was laughing, I was like do you think you are Joe Chalmers? Weirdly, I think McAlear might be better deeper where has more time on the ball. With Murdoch a bit further forward. Murdoch seems to be staying deeper where he's not as effective for me.
  10. A couple of comments about today: I quite liked Macguire having a roaming playmaker role. I didn't realise Bullen was capable of such a tactical change. I'm excited to see more of this. Ashford and Mullin were irritating me in equal measure first half. Both improved to different degrees second half. Dipo can't seem to get a break at the moment. He just needs a goal to get rolling again. Lovely play for McGinty and Musonda for the goal. Two centre halves linking up, a great cross and header. We need to be having more shots. Our play in the final third isn't quite precise enough. I can't decide if I like McAlear or hate him. I go through spells of thinking he's a player then thinking he's a haddie.
  11. f**k sake! I'll enjoy it retrospectively. A season where Wullie Gibson & Jamie Hamill are outed and emptied as the managerial imposters they are is a good one.
  12. There is a distinction between not giving a number and giving false numbers. No? The first is being evasive and refusing to answer the question, the second is lying.
  13. Our first 16 games (19th November) we had 29 points and were top. 1.81 PPG.
  14. ^This is me. Since October I have slowly had my enthusiasm drained. Queens Park away hurt. Falkirk in the Cup broke me. This season really is a fucking missed opportunity. I'm well past being told that 5th place is better than 8th.
