  1. I know your views mate. I'd say you are more optimist than pragmatic, but that's a matter of perspective. The general negativity is really borne of frustration, it is turning into a case of "what might of been" or "this is what you could have won" this season. We've also been horribly inconsistent. I was looking at stats yesterday and we had 24 points on the 29th October and were top, having played 13 games (1.85 PPG). We've subsequently amassed 26 points in 19 games (1.37 PPG). Only 2 points more having played 6 more games. That's what has done us in! I've been slowly getting more demoralised since we lost the Queens Park game away at the start of February, then losing to Falkirk away mid March in the Cup. In our last 10 league games we have 3 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses. Its just not enough to be challenging and it's gonna be squeaky bum time for top 4. I'll still be right behind the team on match day but its out of hope rather than expectation. I really do feel that this season is a big opportunity missed.
  2. Are we hair splitting? Your contribution is a useful one. I do agree with your wrt. resolution - political concessions and/or section 104 orders would have been the best way to resolve it. There is far too much political posturing between the UK & Scottish Governments because it plays well to their respective supporters. Hopefully, common sense will prevail at some point.
  3. I'd thought a doyen of constitutional law such as yourself may have a view. Or would that breach the civil service code?
  4. You are working on the assumption that the UK Supreme Court will rule against the UK Government on a constitutional matter. It won't, irrespective of anything else. Moreover, this will also take a fair bit of time for resolution. 18 months would be quick. This won't be accelerated like the Section 30 was.
  5. Wattoo is playing a blinder here. Get him in at left back I say.
  6. Anyone thinking the UK Government just winged this and didn't seek the opinion of legal counsel before blocking the bill hasn't been paying attention.
  7. Aye, another expensive defeat beckons.
  8. It is a bit twee but sometimes you need twee. At least I do. Especially after watching Ayr play. It restores my faith in humanity.
  9. Apparently the camper van was supposed to be a mini battle bus...
  10. Ditto. I hadn't appreciated how close they were. I genuinely expected us to get past 54 points, which is my magic number for top four more often than not. I'm really not sure we'll make it. Raith and QP look like our best opportunities for wins. ICT still have one eye on the cup and also have to play Dundee. Its poised for us needing a draw up at Caley on the last day, isn't it?
  11. What a depressing end to what began a very promising season. Football eh? I've still got my fingers crossed that in typical fashion we go to Firhill and beat Partick. I hate hope!!!!
  12. The irritating thing is its been like a car crash happening in slow motion. No consistency for months and our inability to win anything resembling a six pointer. Grim.
  13. What is remarkable, if the auditors resigned six months ago, why haven't the SNP appointed new ones? Given their audited accounts need to be with the Electoral Commission by July. They currently have no auditor, that's looking tight to contract with a new auditor, for them to handover with JC and audit the accounts. I expect they may need to seek an extension which is highly irregular. Another gift as a result of the secrecy by which Murrell governed the party. More evidence of the catastrophically bald one running the party into the ground.
  14. Not that I've seen. The sooner the better either way. The drip drip drip of bad news need to stop at some point.
  15. John Swinney was DFM. Keith Brown is Deputy Leader of the party, as elected by the membership in 2018. He was Justice Secretary before Humza came in.
