  1. Yeah. I'm well aware that moaning about agents is like moaning about Tories: they act precisely as we'd expect them to. But it still boils my piss.
  2. His agent is a dick. If he was any good whatsoever he'd be heading to a Championship club, either now or on a PCA. Instead we've got this endless pissing about. I just want him gone now, and I'm sure Jim and Jamie feel the same way.
  3. Easily one of our worst showings this season, that: you could easily have had double figures that day. I'd like to think we'll be better/less naive this time.
  4. I fancy a bet on St Johnstone staying up. Something about the weekend felt a bit nadir-y. It's not like you haven't done similar before, and the teams above are well within reach.
  5. Yep, exactly where my head went after reading the OP. Highly rated enough for that now-legendary five-year contract to deter potential suitors. Totally stitched, of course, by the loss of his transfer budget so we could make pointless ground improvements, but his managerial record is pretty much non-existent after leaving us.
  6. How legally binding is a PCA? Could you guys not just withdraw it? They sound like the sort of thing an employment lawyer could tear to shreds if they wanted.
  7. There's nothing consistent at all about what we're doing here, but it makes me feel like, for once, we're actually putting SMFC first. Even if it's just a case of the Fakes chucking us £25k or something, it's better than nothing.
  8. Can't be that pissed off, he's just dodged a relegation dogfight and climbed a few places in the table.
  9. Yeah, fair. I guess that's probably quite a minimal risk from out point of view.
  10. Surely we didn't need to recall him in order to offer him that deal, though? Don't get me wrong, as a piece of shithousery I think it's wonderful. It just seems a bit OTT.
  11. Re Kiltie... Sometimes, to job your job brilliantly, you just need nobody else to be trying to do your job as well. I hope he really kicks on now he and McGrath aren't treading on each other's toes.
  12. Who would take Main and Erwin? Would be cash needed for Main as he is contracted to 2023? Erwin annoys me as did Jim not sign him, but never gets on the park? When he does, he has been shite... but how do we sell him to other teams if no one sees what he could do for them? I'd hoped Killie might take Erwin back but they are clearly aiming - and spending - much higher. We are really going to struggle to find suitors for these players.
  13. ...and we've drawn Kelty, so there's a decent chance this could be biting me right on the arse. FFS.
  14. I want to like Dennis. I really, really do. But he just hasn't taken the chances he's been given. TBH, while it's harsh to blame a guy for getting injured, pulling out before United was a big nail in his coffin for me. Just don't feel like we can depend on him. I didn't see the game today - no sign of a stream anywhere - how did Greive look?
  15. There is no finer sight in nature than a potential banana skin being turned into an actual banana skin. Enjoy your evening Saintees.
  16. That's interesting. He's not done much in Perth, but if we're changing systems there might be more opportunities for him. I very strongly suspect that the transfer market has dried right up and that replacements for him, McGrath, basically anybody, are hard to come by.
  17. Looks like a 4-2-3-1 with Dennis in for Brophy, Ronan dropping back alongside Erhahon and McAllister in for Power.
  18. I think McGrath will have played his last game for us. I would like to see the same line-up, but wouldn't surprise me if he rings a couple changes. Tait in for Fraser, McAllister in for Henderson, Dennis in for Brophy if he's got over his injury from Tuesday night. If Dennis isn't fit, wouldn't surprise me to see Greive on from the start. Brophy was dead on his feet by the end at Tannadice so will be used sparingly today, I reckon.
  19. Shrewsbury were disappointed to miss out on signing him, so I'm sure he'll get a gig somewhere. I don't have any ill feeling towards the guy, but it's not worked out. He's not clinical enough, he doesn't do enough with the strength he has, and his presence on the pitch did atrocious things to our collective mentality/tactics.
  20. BHam City fans on Twitter saying much the same. They see 350k as being absolute peanuts and therefore see minimal risk.
  21. Should be a decent game this. We can certainly be got at, so it won't be a one-sided thing. Biggest priority for us will be getting the team bus started and back down the road while Curtis Main is still in the shower.
  22. I think the ironic thing was, we've been trying to squeeze these guys into a system that didn't suit, and as soon as McGrath declared himself mentally unfit to play, we switched to a system that probably could have accommodated them both.
