Yep, an enjoyable game. The analysis doesn't like you taking the pawn on e6 with your rook (move 19). Have to agree with that - it left a pin after Qd5 and the knight on h5 was suddenly exposed. Things opened up nicely (for me) after that.
A bit keystone cops at the end with me making a right arse of the checkmate, but got there in the end.

Ok people. You can tell the BBC and ITV to ram their wall-to-wall FA Cup coverage. Here's the draw for the *real* cup.
The bairn is now asking for £2 to do these draws going forward! Clearly the prestige of the job isn't enough in itself any more.

The analysis gave both my opponent and I a "great move" for castling! Also got one back when for moving the king out of check - a forced move. It's hilarious at times.

We now have the 16 entries for the next round.

There are now 18 names in the hat, they are:

I'll put the names on paper, put them in the bag and then the bairn will draw the first four names out. These four will play a preliminary round, and the winners of each match will proceed to the Round of 16.

ancientnoise (white) versus Dearyme ends in a draw.
I thought early doors that blacks' pawn party on the King-side might lead to an advantage for white if we managed to reach the end game. Instead it turned into more of un carré defensif for the black king.
Happy wth a point in the end-up. Thanks @Trogdor for an intriguing game.

Congrats to you and everyone who has made the quarter-final so far.
As I see it, we only have the @Leicesterlichtiev @Ken Deansgame to declare, a game which looks to be still very much alive:
