  1. At the moment I suspect its a problem with flooding. Get the brooms and galoshes out
  2. I wonder if Hamilton will return in January? Not exactly been setting the heather alight in Hartlepool.
  3. Shame if true about Kabia; started well but then got injured which kind of stunted things. Were also rumours about a falling out with management over attitude but that's probably rubbish.
  4. https://www.thenational.scot/sport/23187355.livingston-weigh-deal-trialist-de-lucas-bradley-nears-move/
  5. Reading the reports of a "mass brawl" I was expecting something more. That was just handbags.... I assume there was something carrying on after that; it didn't really seem to be justifiable to abandon the match just on that.
  6. It was originally disbanded in no small part to Malky McKay's Project Brave wasn't it? Whatever happened to Project Brave? a great fluster of news in 2017/18 and then nothing.
  7. Its not difficult to see which way the creators of that survey were leaning.
  8. The reserves continue to play through the World cup period I think they have two or three games already in their schedule. If fit I'd still think he had a chance from the bench; thought he did okay against Rangers until it started to look like his enthusiasm could lead to a second yellow.
  9. With County; United and Killie currently propping up the league And ICT; Dundee and Ayr viewing for promotion /play-off spots; it could be a vey interesting run in if this was the position in May. I know it probably wont happen but would be intriguing if it did.
  10. Well there's also the "top-six" race (which really for the non-OF teams is a top four race) that we can challenge for. Sa far as Livi being too strong; there are other sides with bigger squads able to withstand suspensions and injuries but also the big question is the January window. Pretty sure we've not got money to splash out on other players plus it is always possible we will be losing a player of two if the right offer comes in. TBH I wont be comfortable until we have a 20 point gap between us and the bottom two; not sure that's possible by the time the January Windows closes. Other things coming into play; looking at the championship, with Ayr currently sitting top, I'm pretty sure there's no way Killie would even consider swapping places with them; possible or not their board will likely throw everything including the proverbial kitchen sink at staying up.
  11. Just ten points difference between third and twelfth. Unfortunately the same as between third and second.
  12. Seemed a bit of an odd choice to me as well but MOTM is picked by the sponsors and, as they say, he who pays the piper calls the tune.
  13. So Brian Schwake is contracted until the end of this season but Jack Hamilton (the goalkeeper) has a contract until the end of 2023/2024? Hopefully an extension for Brian is in hand?
  14. Don't forget that clearance that went straight to a Celtic forward; didn't end up being a goal but could have been.
  15. That already happens though; the referee is barracked and booed by supporters if they think there's a chance that the decision will go against them. Celtic Park last Saturday being a good example; thousands of boos from Celtic supporters when Dundee United were about to be awarded a penalty. Strangely they didn't seem to complain when they were awarded one against us the week before.
  16. Started early haven't we? Still .... love it if you were right.
  17. The comparison between Goncalves and Chukwuemenka is a trifle unfair; I did get the feeling that Goncalves at least did put in a bit of effort; something that was never evident with Chukwuemenka (and who I see is as effective with Crawley town as he was with us). I do think however that Goncalves is certainly not suited to the lone striker role. Certainly when Guthrie is fit again he will really struggle to get another chance. Really this was his big opportunity; I wont say he blew it but he certainly could have made more of an impression.
  18. Bahamboula seemed to pick up a knock at the end of the first half as well. Second half he was definitely jogging with difficulty. Likewise Montano seemed to be struggling. Will be glad once the Hearts game is over.
  19. I typed VAR and autocorrect changed it to WAR. Subliminal messaging?
  20. Contrary to the majority I actually though Walsh had an okay game last night. On the wider VAR question I would obviously like to see the matter speeded up and better communication over what is being looked at - the first "possible handball" review; the announcer didn't say what end it was at and, as the game had recently been in both penalty areas, you were holding your breath to see which way the ref turned as he left the screen. Also I would like to see the on-field referee viewing VAR as an "assistant" rather than the be all and end all. There have been a number of decisions that could have gone either way over the past couple of weeks yet I've yet to see a referee overrule VAR (I know it rarely actually seems to happen in England but it does happen).
  21. Always though Goncalves does far better on the right wing rather than in the centre; where he can battle and run rather than being closed down every two seconds. For me we would have been better moving Nouble into the centre and have Goncalves in his position. TBH he does seem to struggle with acceleration from a standing start but is better once moving but in a straight line.
  22. Game aside why on earth did the stadium announcer have to talk pretty much all the way through the demonstration by the Schools pipe band at half time? Apart from being totally ignorant and disrespectful its not as if he had anything important to say.
  23. I like Cancar but he's still a bit hot headed at the moment (or at least in the limited time I've seen him). He started pretty well against rangers but was booked early on and replace by Montano after 34 minutes. Maybe he'll get another chance but there's a lot of competition
  24. The Saltire (two mins from Livi North station) used to do a pretty decent spread; if driving then the Livi Inn was good but service could be very slow so arrive early (about 10 mins from the ground). Plenty of places to eat in the centre but most of the pubs have a ban about colours on the premises. As mentions the Almondvale suite is okay (right under the south stand), if a little soulless, but they normally have sky sport on plus, once it fills up, the atmosphere's not bad. Finally the club usually do a guest pie; tonight's is the doner meat and chilli sauce - they're fantastic but bring a bib.
  25. Wouldn't risk that one. My wife got a photographed aster overstaying due to a problem at Hobbycraft - they still send us a threatening letter about every six months saying you can see them on Channel 4 - wont-pay-we'll-take-it-away. Hobbycraft even got in touch with them but they wont give up. The centre's much safer.
