  1. Estimating about 125 at BSC v EK today, but someone might have done a proper headcount
  2. I'd estimate about 250-270 at Broadwood tonight
  3. Absolute humdinger of a game. Colts better side for the first half but lost a goal right on half time and gave Kelty the momentum. They just wore out at the end and got punished for it. Cracking entertainment. Hope the injury to Philp isntbss bad as it looked.
  4. I did end up getting to the Mariners hosting the Giants last week. A couple of absolute booming home runs, abut it was a throwing error from Dee Gordon that allowed the Giants to win 4-3 in the ninth. Safeco is a fantastic stadium, it went right up the top of my favourite list! https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/07/28/seattle-v-san-francisco/
  5. I was at The Tacoma Rainiers v Salt Lake Bees in the Triple-A Pacific Coast League today. It was a near sell out crowd on a gorgeous day and wevsawvsome great baseball played. My wife's friend brought her dad who wanted to sit next to me so he could fill me in on the details of the game since it was my first time. He was an absolute delight and enhanced my experience greatly. Despite the result, I had a great time and when we come to visit the in-laws in the future I'm sure we'll be back. We got our tickets today as part of a promotion and paid just $11 which included a stadium meal, a cap and a voucher for a Chick-fil-a meal. Absolutely outstanding value. If my father-in-law's contact comes through, we'll be at the Seattle Mariners game on Tuesday night as well, which I'm really looking forward to. https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/07/23/tacoma-v-salt-lake/
  6. Toyota Field looks like a really good ground as well. The San Antonio team didn't really offer much, but I get the impression that a lot of teams blow hot and cold in this league. I was very impressed by everything the teams over here to do engage with fans as well. It was a good experience and I think you'll have a good time when you go
  7. Not MLS but the Division II USL. Really enjoyed my night at Orange County on Saturday. Cracking new build stadium, loud, passionate support and it was Gnome night, which meant we left with an OCSC garden gnome. https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/orange-county-v-san-antonio/
  8. Here's the report on Orange County v San Antonio. https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/orange-county-v-san-antonio/
  9. The guy at the merch table was asking about the hat. He said he was a big fan of European football and was quite taken when I mentioned Whitehill had Benni McCarthy playing a game once!
  10. Orange County SC 3-0 San Antonio FC in the United Soccer League at Champions Soccer Stadium in Irvine, California last night. Really enjoyable game and a really good atmosphere in a nice, brand new stadium. There will be a blog to follow when I have access to a computer on Wednesday or Thursday.
  11. Possibly not the right place to ask but the website and Twitter aren't giving me answers. Does anyone know if the reserve game v Patrick Thistle at the training centre on Saturday is open for spectators?
  12. The Lowland League AGM has indeed happened, but very little has been made public. Could it be, shock horror, that they're waiting on EoSL and SoSL AGM to ratify proposals before making any public statements regarding promotion etc? Because that's very much what the one public statement that was made suggested
  13. I see on Twitter that Swift is back as manager
  14. Airdrie Ladies v Glasgow City Development on Wednesday night. Cracking night, really good game, 3 late goals won it for City's kids https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/05/26/airdrie-v-glasgow-city/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  15. Absolutely fascinating watching this unfold. Could easily be looking at 3 sections next season if the applications keep coming in
  16. I'm over in Washington State in July for my sister in law's wedding. Father in law phoned last night to say he can get tickets for the Mariners v Giants if I want them. So I'm now looking forward to my first MLB game
  17. Spartans and BSC were definitely £7 this season, which is fine. It's still great value. I'll just not be taking a seat when I visit Kelty next season!
  18. I don't like the supplement for a seat thing at all. Any HL game I've been to I've avoided sitting for just that reason
  19. Balfron Rovers 1-1 Aberfoyle Rob Roy in the Forth and Endrick League last night. Good, competitive game, friendly, welcoming people and a nice surprise of a match programme at a Welfare league game! https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/05/19/balfron-rovers-v-aberfoyle-rob-roy/
  20. The A League seems to be on a bye week that weekend unfortunately. But it looks like there's some lower league games on. You'll probably need to use Google translate but this should help http://lietuvosfutbolas.lt/varzybos/vyru/i-lyga/
  21. Oh I know, if I actually finish on time I'll almost certainly point the car towards Clackmannanshire rather than home
  22. Aye cracking value for £3. I especially enjoyed the novelty of being able to enjoy a pint in the stand. I'll be back before the season finishes
  23. Trying to figure out whether a trip to Alloa after finishing work at 7 on Wednesday is a good idea or utter madness.
  24. Didn't really see anywhere else to put this. Went to Briadholm this afternoon to check out East Kilbride Pirates v Edinburgh Wolves in the British Premier North. Good setup, and a cracking game as Edinbugh came from 19 points behind to win. Obviously nowhere near NFL standard, but an enjoyable way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon https://piesontheterraces.wordpress.com/2018/05/06/east-kilbride-pirates-v-edinburgh-wolves/
  25. The Football Nation and South Challenge Cups are going to be beefed right up and have the potential for some cracking ties next season as well on the back of this.
