  1. The genesis of The Banter Years is the Keith Jackson article on Craig Whyte.
  2. No, because the legislation explicitly states the messages/images/videos/meeting arrangements have to be sent to a child or an undercover police officer. At best in Scotland you might get an indecent communication offence out of it.
  3. The question of the juniors being absorbed into a national senior setup isn't going away. The best thing is for a group of the bigger clubs in the West to get together and discuss it properly between themselves, without any input from the SJFA, and decide exactly what they want. I have no idea where clubs stand on this issue and have never heard of any supporters being asked their opinion either. While Talbot fans quite rightly rejected the idea (on here anyway) of joining the SOS league to gain a licence, I wonder if attitudes would change if 4 or 5 of the bigger Ayrshire teams expressed a willingness to apply alongside them?
  4. Two points - the Scottish cup is the only national competition at this level and the final is a day out as opposed to a league title which might be won when the champions aren't even playing, as a consequence of a competitor losing.
  5. Any controllers/keypads available for sale that people would recommend? The remote control that came with my M8S is crap and the kids broke my original keypad.
  6. Just saw this. Sam had re-written the High Septon's diary so Gilly was reading his version. Sam already knew what Gilly was trying to tell him - it was mentioned by her for our benefit.
  7. Great story in the end and glad it worked out for you. It must have been terrible. I can't imagine.
  8. Let me know. I'm waiting on a Redmi 4X arriving from Gearbest. Ordered on 10th August and still hadn't heard anything 10 days later so sent them an e-mail indicating I would be cancelling the order if there was going to be a significant hold-up. Lo and behold I received an e-mail back about an hour later telling me it was being shipped immediately.
  9. They could have extended the episode by 10 minutes of dialogue to link certain parts, for example including a conversation between the party about bringing the dragon glass and showing the passing of a few nights and days with them stranded on the island. Cersei mentioned in an earlier episode that there were around 1000 miles between King's Landing and Winterfell so it would take several days for the message to reach Danaerys at Dragonstone. It wouldn't have taken (or cost) much to have quickly shown a few day/night scenes to give the impression that time was passing. I watched the behind the scenes video on YouTube and it honestly amazed me how much goes into filming and producing the scenes.
  10. Armour at least doesn't soak up water like clothes do mind you. It may even have some buoyancy. Considering Daenerys and her army managed to cross a continent in the space of a day it doesn't require too much more of a suspension of belief to imagine Jaime surviving.
  11. Looking forward to the reply to this. Hopefully it contains more evidence than that one song.
  12. Fortunately I don't have to follow MacGhiollabhain on Twitter to know what he's saying - you Gers fans talk about him enough on here. Wish you would drop the "ill" part though - mental illness isn't really funny.
  13. Junior players (and every other player) for the most part go where the money is. If Kelty are still paying big bucks despite two failed attempts at promotion the players will be more than happy where they are.
  14. Interesting. They said that 10 years ago as well though.
  15. Completely wrong, but entirely in fitting with the tabloid sensationalism that has followed this case from the beginning.
  16. We had our back garden astroturfed a few months ago and it's fantastic. Our garden was a state, with a raised and uneven patio which dropped steeply onto a highly sloped grass area. It was always waterlogged and the drainage was terrible. If you have the money then plastic is the way to go in my opinion. The best thing about it is that half an hour of sunshine dries it out completely and my kids can roam about without any fear that they'll get filthy or soaking.
  17. I don't mean on here - on the whole the Rangers guys here are decent and I know I couldn't be bothered dealing with most of the crap they put up with. I mean in general terms - the club is run by a shyster which would be a perfect opportunity for a decent, articulate fans representative to come to the fore and project a positive image for the club. Instead we have the unhinged Sons of Struth guy as a figurehead as well as strange people like the shamed Chris Graham. There's no other club in Scotland whose fans would accept being represented by people like that.
  18. The problem is that 90% of non-Rangers fans believe this is the true mentality of 90% of Rangers fans. And instead of trying to push some positive PR all we get from you guys is denial and whataboutery. You let people like these bus singers define you as a club unfortunately.
  19. They weren't - remember the temporary licence they had to obtain to pay their first Ramsden's Cup match against Brechin.
  20. That permission thing has been on the go for at least 10 years as well I reckon.
  21. Read this thread then decided to watch the very first episode of this. It was really clichéd and fast paced. They could have stretched that storyline out for series upon series. Instead they crammed it into 43 or so minutes and it just ended up being rushed and ridiculous.
