Glad they are all getting good reviews. Would have loved to have kept Lang, he still isn’t the finished article either. Spencer was a vital player in our engine room for years, class act. Thankfully we aren’t short of decent central mids so hasn’t been missed too badly. A fully fit and confident Ross is a joy, we just haven’t really seen it much, really unlucky on injury front…he is out of contract in summer so shop window time for him til then, no idea where he will be come the new year mind!

So what is the general take on the ex Rovers’ from you lot? Has McGlynn restored some faith after end of last season? Have Lang and Spencer impressed? How is Ethan Ross doing?

So longs everyone keeps pulling in the right direction as a team then having these selection headaches is a great thing! If we keep our injury list to a minimal then we are going to have games where you could suggest half a dozen players on the bench are unlucky not to be starting, that’s just mental for us! As for the game, it’s unfortunate the bookies don’t factor in the cursed voodoo streak as for me we are too skinny a price to get too involved. For me, the most pleasing aspect was the fight and togetherness, something often missing down recent years. We still have a couple of additions to the squad coming, we still have key players returning and/or getting up to speed so if we somehow avoid the mid season injury crisis then we should be in a much better place for the return fixture in October. I travel to as many games as possible and always enjoy mixing with the ‘locals’. As mentioned, we are all in the same boat to an extent, easy growing up to jump on the glory wagon and support the bigot brothers like 80% of the Scottish population! Finally, I liked the train, they got it to look real like it was really moving as well

Pars’ fans go on about how much they hate Masterton but then gloat about the ‘glory years’ of cup finals and Europe which were actually gifted to them FROM said person with his stolen money! Happy to be proved wrong but this appears to be a really negative starting line up. I was hoping we were to go toe for toe with them, trying to capitalise on any hangover but it’s looks like we will be sitting in. Giving them too much respect? Time will tell
