  1. It's the manner of the defeats that's concerning. We haven't threatened the opposition goal at all in the last 3 games. Granted one of them is away at Parkhead. Formation and substitutions didn't fill me with confidence. Why Main comes on ahead of Brophy is utterly baffling.
  2. I want to argue with this but I can't. Without the penalty, which looked the right call, it's a 0-0. But you can't expect to take anything when you offer nothing up top. County are in great form, I thought they'd be a shoe in for the bottom 2 at the start of the season but fair play to them.
  3. Verbal warning for Robinson for putting Main on before Brophy. That was as insipid a performance as I've seen for a while. Don't remember a shot on target. Robinson seems to have tried to change too much too quickly. We offered absolutely nothing and got what we deserved.
  4. I could've been in goals for the first half and it would've been 0-0 at half time. Hearts were the better team and deserved winners, no question. To claim the game should've been out of sight in 20 mins is a bit silly.
  5. Nothing better than a good away day bevvy before the game.
  6. No idea what the sending off was for, so will need to see it again. That changes the game and Hearts were the better side. I thought the lad Simms made a difference to them when he came on. On another day we'd have maybe got 2 penalties. The first one was the other end from me so couldn't say for sure, the hand ball at the end looked a stone waller.
  7. After the last 24 hours (and the 90 mins) that's a good result. Thought we could've pushed for a winner but Collum put paid to that with the red card.
  8. Pathetic defending from Livingston there. Was it Forrest with the fresh air swipe? We don't deserve it but I'll take it!
  9. Switching Nouble sides has made a difference. He never got much change out of Fraser but he's given Tait a really tough time.
  10. It was a clear foul. Think Collum realised his mistake and tried to make amends. Both teams cancelling each other out here. Livingston probably the slightly better side as they've at least forced a save from Alnwick.
  11. Thing is, other than Ross I don't think there are many safe bets out there. There are no obvious up and coming managers in the lower leagues (Stewart Petrie?). Certainly no one that jumps out at me.
  12. Fitzy is a hero but the guy has been out of coaching for about 20 years and is soon to be retiring from working life. Langfield, McManus and Webster are taking the team today. McManus has always done well when he's had to step up.
  13. If, as seems to be the case, Jack Ross doesn't want it, then there's slim pickings around. Lambert - not convinced he'd take it and his record has more bad bits than good. Adams - recently sacked by Bradford, doesn't get me particularly excited. Tommy Wright? - didn't cover himself in glory at Kilmarnock but I still think he's a good manager. Steven McGarry - would definitely have the club at heart and have interesting contacts in Australia. Been out the Scottish game a long time and lacks experience of being a number 1. Scott Brown - not convinced he'll want to hang the boots up just yet, so can't see it being him. Also no managerial experience but he'll have a point to prove, has good contacts and is a winner. He's also a good character and I'm sure the players would respect him. If it's not Ross part of me thinks 'f**k it' give it to Brown, it'll be a laugh if anything.
  14. Surely the Brown stuff is just paper talk, the Record just desperate for an Old Firm angle. The reason I wouldn't want him is a lack of experience. Nothing to do with him as a person, the guy is a winner, he's very hard working, will have good contacts in the game. Now, none of that means he'd necessarily be a good manager, but he's not someone I'd be protesting against. I reckon it's all moot anyway. I will be astounded if Scott Brown is our next manager.
  15. This might come back to bite me on the arse but I also reckon he'll stay. The early front runner in the press/at the bookied doesn't often get it. I also think Aberdeen will want a bigger name. Most Aberdeen fans I've spoken to (admittedly about 3) don't want Goodwin. Mental that they expect a big name, but here we are.
  16. Thoroughly enjoying your tear stained, back handed compliments by the way.
