  1. Maybe, but given that he thought his CV which consisted of “got Alloa relegated” blew everyone out the water, I doubt Peter Grant sees it that way. And there’s almost certainly another chairman out there daft enough to give him a shot.
  2. Where is the boy Montgomery meant to playing? I had assumed left back but he seems to be charging around wherever he fancies
  3. ‘If the rules were different, it’d be a penalty’
  4. He looks like the kind who drives a corsa and has a 15 year old girlfriend.
  5. Is Kent playing? Aye, he keeps making an arse of everything he tries
  6. assumed that had been a brilliant bit of defending to block there, but fucking hell
  7. Aye, it’d definitely be a worry if he was playing there against most of the sides in this league, and any vaguely competent manager would seek to exploit him at every opportunity, but I thought he did better than the likes of Edwards or Lawless when they got shoehorned in there.
  8. On another note, I thought Gordon did quite well at right back today. Admittedly, he wasn't tested at all defensively, but he got up and down the park fairly well and seemed to be able to get a bit more involved in the game than he usually does. Wouldn't fancy having him there under normal circumstances, but it's good to know that he can fill in reasonably enough in an emergency.
  9. Genuinely, who is actually available just now? Obviously getting rid of Grant, regardless of who you replace him with, would be the correct option but still. If it’s not Hughes, I’d think you’re looking at slim pickings. edit: for clarity, I don’t think John Hughes is a brilliant manager, but he at least has had some success in the past
  10. Aye, but I’m assuming the ref has only given the penalty because he thinks it was deliberate. Because if he thought it was accidental, then it wouldn’t be a penalty since it hit his leg first? Is that no the rule now? edit: Basically what i’m trying to say is I think it has to be either both a penalty and red, or neither.
  11. Surely if it’s a penalty then it has to be a red card?
  12. June 2063 A double header against Slovenia for my Latvia side. They were the second lowest ranked side in my group, although still almost 100 places higher than us, so probably my best chance to get some points and we've managed one. Pretty comprehensively outplayed away, but we were worth the point at home. Got our goal through an early penalty, and then we defended pretty well for the most part to hold on to the draw. That'll probably be our only point, as we have Turkey twice, the Netherlands at home and Finland away still to go. Hoping that I can uncover some better players soon.
  13. Perfect game for us to have a makeshift back four, given that Morton appear to have nothing at all going forward. Ugwu looks good, but his hold up play is basically pointless when there’s no one at all supporting him. We played fine, should have scored a few more. I thought Hamilton actually looked relatively decent in goals, which is always a surprise. Good to bounce back after the Arbroath game, but I doubt we’ll have an easier game all season.
  14. Weird game. It’s been relatively even in most of the play, but we probably should have three goals and Morton haven’t created anything at all. Also, who was the boy on the post who ducked away from the ball at the goal?
  15. I assume Stevenson and Stanway are young players who are (usually) nowhere near first team level? Anyone any idea what positions they play?
  16. “It can’t get any worse, surely” seems an incredibly brave statement from Keown.
  17. Incredible defending that. Not closing anyone down at any point. Incredible
  18. There’s well documented reasons why he may not want a full time management role, and if he did I’m pretty sure he could get a better offer than us.
  19. This is, objectively, absolute nonsense. Of our current squad, only two actually played regularly in the relegation season and a few others were bit part players and/or joined in January before lockdown.
  20. All three of them would be absolutely atrocious appointments. I think McCall is about as good a manager as we’re likely to get just now. Tries to play attacking football, seems interested in the youth teams and bringing some players through, and has a decent track record of getting the most out of players where others haven’t managed to do so. Also, given that Jacqui Low’s track record of managerial appointments consists of Gary Caldwell, I’d be incredible concerned about what moron with a PowerPoint we’d end up with if McCall left.
  21. Wait, there’s actually people who think that Ben Chilwell is a good footballer?
  22. Almost have to admire the brass neck on the c**t - accusing anyone else of being a media grifter is something else.
