  1. Looking at other forums, it seems to have annoyed some utter VL’s so I’m all for it tbh. More generally, I think it’s an interesting idea, and even if I don’t use it, will be good to have the option. I think it’ll be a fun idea to follow the Jim Chapman/Phil Neville route by starting out with women’s football and then heading off to men’s. And if they’re going to have different attributes/transfer models for it, it’ll add a bit of challenge navigating them. In any case, women’s football seems to be growing so even if there isn’t demand for it commercially just now, there will be soon enough.
  2. Live footage of @red23’s house… P.s. get the f**k out of there.
  3. January 2061 Fucking outstanding stuff, particularly against the sides around us in the table. Shout out to Lilaj who's been outstanding all month. His goal against Kukesi was filthy as well... That win over Kukesi propelled us on to a great run as well, and we dished out a few utter doings to Teuta and Laci, the other teams in the top 4 at the time. Only dropped points were at Skenderbeu, who were unlucky not to beat us, but I'll take it. Back to the top of the table after that, although we're only a point ahead. Hopefully we can get a proper lead built up over the next month or so.
  4. December 2060 Been dealing with a few injuries this month, but we've managed to come through it relatively unscathed. We were really, really poor in the loss against Tirana, not managing a single shot, and then snuck through on aggregate in the cup, but the two wins either side against some of the league's poorest teams was good. Off top spot, but we're still in the chase for it, and more importantly we're building up a decent lead over fifth to stay in the European spots. Latvia No games this month, but the draw for the World Cup qualifying was made... We have no chance, obviously. Belgium were runners up at the last world cup, and have the guy below playing for them, while Russia came third at that world cup so I'm genuinely terrified at what they'll do to us. I'd like to hope we can compete against North Macedonia, Albania and Georgia though.
  5. Bermuda also have Nakhi Wells who’s played a wee bit in the EPL, and a fair amount in the Championship so Bermuda are doing really well by the usual standards of diddy Caribbean islands. Goater still takes it though. For Bhutan, and purely so we can name someone that isn’t a footballer, they have a boxer (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigyel_Phub) who won a silver medal in the south Asian games, which seems to be a more tangible achievement that finishing 87th in the Olympic archery or whatever.
  6. He personally will cough up f**k all, his mug supporters will throw in about a tenner each while banging on about “being persecuted for journalism” or whatever the f**k it is. Still nice that he remains a perennial loser though.
  7. Our third and especially fourth goals from that game remain two of my favourite Thistle goals. I’m absolutely certain that Dunfermline should have scored a second at 1-1, but instead of playing a simple pass across the face of goal to an open man, the guy blasted it wide. We scored very shortly after and as you say, the rest of that game was a complete pumping.
  8. November 2060 Well, we scraped through those games but I'll take it. A very solid month. We have the second leg of the cup to go, but have put ourselves in a decent position there. Top of the fucking table. Beautiful. Latvia Well, we needed two wins to have a chance and we got them. The boy Kovalonoks who got a hattrick is one of our best players, on the books at Shakhtar (although he's never made a club appearance yet). Scraped past Gibraltar with a 16 year old getting the winner. The Kazakhs fucked it up, and we're getting promoted to play some proper teams. Lovely stuff. Anyway, thought I'd share some of our better players, by which I mean basically anyone not playing in the Latvian league. As above, we have a boy at Shakhtar who plays right winger, and is quite decent. Doubt he'll make it there, but should have a significantly better career than 99% of my squad. Aleksejs Muzars is an attacking midfielder, playing for Oostede (well, he's on the books there, they've never given him a game). Still, he's quite good and with 33 caps by 20 years old, he has a decent shot at being Latvia's most capped ever (currently 167 for Vitalijs Astafjevs).
  9. Aye, the tennis player was in the top 50 singles players for the best part of a decade as well, and a genuinely outstanding doubles player. As good as Hleb was, I’d go for Mirnyi.
  10. October 2060 Pretty average month, we should basically always be beating Bylis and definitely always be beating fourth tier nobodies like Bilisht. Teura and Kukesi are both good sides, and we didn't play particularly well in those two games so lucky to get a point really. Back to our best in the Partizani game, very pleasing stuff. Muhamed Gojani is also, currently, the top scorer in the league with seven, so with any luck he'll keep that up. Ten games in and we're hanging around the European spots, delightful. I'd certainly take fourth at the end of the season. Latvia Better. We gave Gibraltar a doing, and actually looked like a competent side. I know the team we were playing against aren't good, but it was very encouraging. We then were very unfortunate not to beat Kazakhstan, a big turn around from last month when they were miles better than us. We've to play Andorra and Gibraltar still - win them and we'll need to hope Kazakhstan lose one of their games, but we've got a chance to win this group, remarkably.
  11. Its fucking sensational. Personal favourite is a couple of season's ago, Maardu United's 2nd team winning their first round tie 21-2, and then losing 10-0 themselves in the second round against an under 21 side.
  12. That’s fucking mental. 30 million pounds on a much worse goalkeeper than the one they already have.
  13. No, it’s the future of the Scottish national team. Have you not been paying attention?
  14. He’s been named in overseas media anyway, but aye it’s a bit “we can’t name him for legal reasons, but his name rhymes with…”
  15. Our squad might well be a bit pish and thin, but I’d still rather Lyon was out on loan and playing every week rather than sitting on the bench here. We can always sign some bang average journeyman for the bench instead. And O’Ware going awol significantly improves our defensive options, imo.
  16. f**k it, aye he’s better than Alaba. I’ve never heard of him. I’d never heard of Lauda or Sailer either, as I don’t like F1 or skiing, so was just going off their Wikipedia pages.
  17. There were shout earlier on for a cricketer called Don Bradman to be Australia’s best ever sportsman. I don’t understand what the numbers mean, but his batting average is 99.94 (per Wikipedia) while the next highest are around 60 odd, so I’ll assume that’s really, really good. Austria, as you say, is a tough one. The boy Sailer seems to have retired from skiing at 24 for some reason, but absolutely dominated it before then. I’d possibly side with you and go with Lauda just for longevity compared to Sailer, although if Sailer had kept going and kept dominating at the rate he was, it wouldn’t be close.
  18. I think the club might have other things to worry about the now.
  19. Aside from the obvious playoff defeat against Livi, the 5-1 defeat against Dunfermline in 2019 when Tam O’Ware got himself sent off about 8 seconds in was particularly bleak.
  20. This reads an awful lot like “I went to the University of life”.
  21. Literally no one on here is going to watch that video, mate.
