  1. Never heard of him, but fair enough. Pretty weird behaviour from both him and the boy with the UJ tie tbh.
  2. Does this bit not make you reevaluate your views if you know exactly how prejudiced they are? I mean, if I held a view and then thought “hmm, that’s a really racist view I hold”, I’d probably have a serious think about it and what kind of person I am. Also, your wife sounds like a dreadful human being.
  3. I assume the going to court thing is just so he can have a fundraiser for the legal costs, spend a fraction of it and then just keep the rest? A reasonable enough gig for him, all it requires is that he totally humiliates himself on a regular basis.
  4. Aye, that’s the one. I believe she also ran for leader of UKIP, but even they thought she was too much of a crackpot.
  5. That was the other right wing lunatic. Wee Jayda only got 50.
  6. I’ll leave it here, but you aren’t correct.
  7. October 2059 I don't think I've ever assembled a more boring side. Like, I've had far less competent sides, but we're just incredibly dull at the minute. One win, and it was against a lower league side and we were pretty lucky to get it. We're just quite bad at creating chances and then taking them. It's a great laugh. I suppose we're still picking up points, but we're really not a good side.
  8. I also thoroughly enjoyed that sentence featuring on the same website as an article moaning about being asked no to sing “ten German bombers”
  9. I don’t know, I quite enjoyed this sentence: Being almost immediately followed by this sentence:
  10. September 2059 We managed to get some goals at long last, and beating Laci is a genuinely excellent result for us given they usually hang around the top three in the division. Almost stole a draw against Partizani as well, which would have made it a very decent month. About where I'd expect to finish, so I'm relatively pleased with our start.
  11. August 2059 A fucking enthralling start to the season that. We should be beating Korabi, but Bylis are a decent side so a draw with them is a decent result. As I said, we'll be pish to watch. That'll do so far.
  12. Transfers 2059 No real losses there. I still don't really know my full squad very well, but nobody here was jumping out at me as particularly excellent, and only Pashaj has gone to a bigger club that us where he's been loaned out instantly so fine. The first three signings there were agreed before I joined, and the latter three are mine. Halili provides cover right across the back four, but I'll be pretty concerned if he's my first choice in any of those positions this season. He won't be though, and is more than fine to come in and do a job when needed. Probably the best of the non-me signings is Fabian Backhaus, who'll be my left back. Like Halili, he can also cover across the back four, and is defensively solid. Doesn't offer much going forward, but will be fine for my (probable) relegation fight. The other one is Kasperi Kyllonen, a striker. He's good, young and excellent on the ball. If he was a bit quicker, he'd probably be nowhere near me. However, he won't be first choice and will largely feature off the bench. Still, if he lives up to his potential, he should be a good player for a few years. Patrias Fingkreuw is another in my proud tradition of signing random Indonesian players. A centre half, he's good defensively and competent on the ball. At 22, he should still get better and could be part of a decent side in a few years. I'm happy with him John McDowell joins from Brechin (A league two side, to illustrate the level we're at) and will be my number one goalkeeper. I kind of jumped the gun, because just after signing him a much better goalkeeper at Raith was pointed out who'd have cost much the same, but here we are. He'll be fine. Saimir Islami was my final signing, and he's pretty decent. Mental attributes are excellent, and he's a decent passer. Also a good free kick taker, which might be useful. So that's my squad. I think we're hardworking, but fairly untalented bunch. We'll be a solid team, but I imagine we'll be eyebleedingly terrible to watch, mostly.
  13. I’m saying that I don’t think that’s true. Gilmour is obviously the standout, but I’d have Turnbull ahead of Patterson. Doig also looks very good, as did Hickey (but I don’t know how he’s got on in Italy). Patterson, I think, gets a lot of attention because he plays a position which has been a massive problem for us for at least 5 years, and looks like he could be the answer for a while, not because he’s considerably better than some of our other young prospects. Again, none of this is to say that I don’t think Patterson is a good player, because he quite obviously is.
  14. I genuinely don’t think we’d be that excited by Patterson if it wasn’t for the fact that we’re currently playing Stephen O’Donnell in his position. I’m not saying he’s not a good player, but he’s nowhere near what Billy Gilmour could be.
  15. Ok, so we should have B teams in Scottish football so that maybe it’ll help the Argentinian national team?
  16. I don’t know if my club supports the idea. I know our chief exec was involved in the working group, but I’m not sure what that entailed. I have let the club know my feelings on the matter on numerous occasions, and I would find it very hard to support the club with the current board in place if they do support this garbage.
  17. 1. Yes, just cancel the whole thing. 2. How does that help to develop players for the national team, which after all is the whole point of this allegedly? 3. Yes, Lionel Messi is quite good - the third best player of all time in fact (behind Ross Forbes and Cristiano Ronaldo, in that order). I would suggest that the downside is that fans of other clubs in Spain’s lower leagues have to put up with their leagues being a joke. And that having someone gain experience could be done extremely easily using the loan system. Just this week, Thistle sent one of our best prospects to Stenhousemuir for the season to gain experience, with absolutely no impact on sporting integrity whatsoever. Remarkable, isn’t it? Edit: if you could also explain how Lionel Messi’s games for Barcelona B have helped the Spanish national team, that’d be great.
  18. Even the most cursory glance shows that a number of these are completely fucking irrelevant to the “B teams help with youth development argument” To take an example, Steven Zuber was 24 and had played over 100 Swiss top flight games and won a Russian Premier League before ever playing for a B team. Granit Xhaka was 8 years old when he was at Concordia Basel, so I’m fairly confident in saying he never made a first team appearance for them. Zinchenko had played a season of Russian top flight football before playing for a B team. There’s others who don’t fit too, these are just the first 3 I saw.
  19. Do the socks on the home and away kits not need to be different colours? I’m also assuming/hoping that O’Neills had something better planned for them before being told they had to stick CBS in massive letters on them. The jersey itself is a cracker, best we’ve had in a long time. I wasn’t sure about either strip we got last season, but both of this years are belters.
  20. Ian McCall thinks he’s very good. Made a couple of appearances off the bench towards the end of last season for us. He’s quite small, but looks to be comfortable on the ball. Centre midfielder.
  21. Almost, but I think the truth is that they’re just really, really stupid.
