Mental to think we haven't been promoted since 2005. If we manage it this year, it'll be absolutely like celebrating a cup final. I'd prefer to be champions (ie to win something) but in any case, going to other grounds, with more/better players, more coverage, would be brilliant. Crazy to think that a bit of optimism is creeping in after how last season ended. Hope it carries on.

Truthfully, not sure. Not come across such a case, but I doubt we could affect a prior award.

Contract cheating. You pay someone to write your dissertation for you and hope that nobody notices. If you google "dissertation writing service" you'll see loads, and they all say roughly the same thing. They offer a quality product, written by professors or graduates in their weekends off, they offer a plagiarism check and so on. What they don't say is that what they provide is generally terrible. The cases I have seen (for dissertations, essays and the like), the quality of the answers is usually abysmal. Particularly with the "data sets" provided. One recent one had the question "What is your occupation?" as part of a survey. The possible answers? Student, Business or Job. And also, there is a ton of dross written also. Take this article from Yahoo Finance (offering advice on the best services). Just nonsense. Utter, utter nonsense.

In a few years, we'll be reading about Vince Gill, lead singer with the Eagles. Same sort of story.

As a missing story, what you watch is the available still pictures with the dialogue and occasionally a description of the action along the bottom of the screen. Basically like watching an audiobook.

Yes. This was a postgraduate student. We voided every course he did. His transcript reads "invalid grade due to academic misconduct" on every course he did. This is as harsh as we can be.

An absolute belter of a disciplinary case The uni was contacted by the dissertation writing service itself. They sent us everything - all the student's correspondence with them, Whatsapp messages, all the drafts. Their message to us was really angry ("take immediate action against this culprit"). Why, you might ask, would they do this? They wrote a huge chunk. He then asked for a data set to be provided. They did so - but then he didn't pay them for it. Cheerio, chum. He didn't even try to deny it.

Thinking of rookies who came in and were an instant sensation, Hamilton was probably the last. Villeneuve too. But in the last 15 years? No. De Vries can't even claim to have been promoted to F1 too early. Others can.
