  1. 5 posts and already the worst patter ever.
  2. Same here. My grandmother never knew who her father was and it upset her till the day she died.
  3. A bit like the music forum's "covers that are better than the original" thread, what movies or TV shows have been remade and are better than the original? I'll start with battlestar galactica
  4. My wife's dad is bad for this. In the 90s he split from his wife and moved in with her best pal. One daughter, who was disabled, stayed with her mum. He never spoke to her again. The youngest daughter took the situation badly and, at the age of 15 or 16, shouted at her dad. He never spoke to her again. He did speak to my wife until 2019. By this stage my wife's youngest sister had reached out a couple of times. She asked my wife if she would ask him one last time if he would speak to her. A intermediary. He said he would speak to his wife (he married his first wife's pal over 20 years ago). She came back to my wife and said no. The they ghosted us. My wife, the kids, everyone. So, of his 4 kids he only speaks to his son once or twice a year. But he is apparently a great dad and grandad to his wife's kids and their families. He had a heart attack last year. Did his wife phone us to let us know? Did she f**k. When he dies it'll be a quiet funeral. I doubt any of his kids will go.
  5. Simon Pegg Bruno Langley (before he was put on the register) Christine Adams Anna Maxwell Martin Tamsin Greig The Long Game had some guest cast. Just rewatched it.
  6. Between a Jalapeño and a Serrano Pepper.
  7. I've not red dotted in ages. Fucking homophobe breaking my streak
  8. Bumblebee is the only watchable Transformers movie apart front the 80s animated one.
  9. Been watching Ken Burns The Vietnam War. Very good. But as mentioned in another thread by @Arch Stanton not at the level of The World At War - that one is still the king.
  10. Watching this got me to make the "best ever documentary" thread. Don't think this has ever been beaten.
  11. Huwever is making all of these allegations?
  12. Cocaine Bear The first hour is tremendous fun. Genuinely the most I have laughed at a movie in years. Utterly brilliant. Then Ray Liotta shows up and his character sucks all the fun out. Well worth a watch though. A fun, fun film with many memorable moments. First hour 10/10, last half hour 4/10.
  13. Literally what I asked her. If she were here we'd have this sorted by now. At times she imagines problems with the car that don't really exist.
  14. You are probably right, but memory plays tricks. I remember being at Brockville and it being buzzing: hammering QotS 7-1 is a childhood memory I'll never lose. Singing the "Mistletoe and Wine" song. Still remember the words. So many others. I'm a bit pished so if anyone wants to post the odd picture of Brockville, I won't object.
  15. Maybe not at TFS, but there were days when Brockville was absolutely bouncing.
  16. Bit harsh. @Bully Wee Villa is generally a good guy.
  17. The wife is in a panic. Her car apparently isn't going into gear easily, and keeps sticking. And as she is away, our normal garage is a no go. She doesn't want to drive it home till it is fixed. Her pal is recommending a garage near her to look at it, but I have no clue if they are any good, or rip off merchants, or actual good guys.
  18. His biggest impact was at Falkirk. He guaranteed we wouldn't be relegated whilst he was our manager. Brown shoe clad bell end.
