One guy at my work was fishing while on holiday. Sat on a wall above some rocks, and a big wave came and knocked him down onto the rocks below, smashing his leg. He had to cling to the rocks and was helicoptered to hospital. It was life threatening. 10 days later he was lecturing with his leg in a cast. At least he avoided the cold marble floor.

I've asked an independent third party of it is chipper or chippy. Definitely chippy.

My brother is there. Getting the boat from Jersey for it.

When I had mine, I was on the mend. They sent me to their own specialist who agreed with my own doctor. I was back at work a couple of weeks later. The whole thing was very much around how to support me.

Just landed a weekend job testing Hover boards. Money is shit but at least it keeps me off the streets.

It'll be an occupational health meeting. I'd hardly say it is a punishment - I had one similar when I came back to work in 2009, after being off for 14 weeks with a virus that attacked my chest.

Back to the Future and Back to the Future II. My daughter had never seen these so we watched them over the last couple of nights. Utterly brilliant movies. Just enjoyable. With part 2, there is so much plot in there, it's amazing to think it's less than 2 hours long. If it were made today it would be 3, easily. We're watching part 3 on Friday.

9 for Wednesday - monopoly

Last week at work before holiday. It is going so slowly.

Not surprising, really. The SNP is in a cul-de-sac at the moment. No prospect of getting anywhere within the party or as a movement. Plus, she went from uni straight into parliament - I imagine she might want some time to do something normal.

Last year there was a first corner smash that red-flagged the race. Had that not happened, the cars would have come battering round the circuit and turned the protesters into hamburgers. Maybe this year they'll do it. Of all sports, this is the one that the Just Stop Oil toddlers will be desperate to disrupt. Fair point, though - they'll pay no attention to Norris's words.

Saga of Star World is on the Horror channel this week, so Scott and I have been watching it. Hokey auld pish but strangely enjoyable. Maren Jansen as Athena

It was actually an enjoyable race. I mean, you now just discount Verstappen - he's won the race and title. Just enjoy the shenanigans behind him. "He's intimidating me" - even David Croft was taking the piss at that. It's his job to intimidate you, chump. But "Crofty" mixing up cars all the time is getting annoying. "There's Gasly and Albon fighting over 11th" - we, no. That was Ocon.
