  1. Not much better, but a bit better yes, which is based on having 6 points more than you with an additional 2 games in hand, and not having Blair Alston as our midfield "playmaker".
  2. Bit disappointed we didn't win that. Played exactly the way we should approach playing with ten men, just a bit wasteful on the counter at times but cant fault the effort and commitment. Killie are what I expected, a poor side. Their only threat going forward is either Armstrong or set pieces - thats how they get most of their goals and even then, they've only scored 15 in 20 games. Maybe Kyle Vassell will come along and save them. Worrying times in East Ayrshire, especially when you look at the fixtures coming up. On a positive note the Killie pie was top notch. On a more bizarre note, cheerleaders at the football? How very 1970's. I suppose Ayrshire people maybe haven't realised the world has moved on.
  3. Its their, not there. Interesting how you use the word "they" rather than "we". The mask is slipping Elvis. I won't keep you though, your real team is playing in the early kick off today.
  4. Sad to hear this, one of my favourite Saints players - only really saw him play for us when he came back in the 80's, his goal against Hearts in the Cup semi a real highlight. RIP Frank and thanks for the memories.
  5. Yes, it says that I found those points either irrelevant or lacking in evidence, so I decided to ignore your slaverings.
  6. We changed this season back to a "one stand for bigots" rule and attendance in one of the games was marginally down and in the other marginally up. The argument that it ensures bigger attendances is fundamentally flawed.
  7. Touched a nerve. Already got tickets, hopefully you'll appreciate the Paisley pound. I do think you need to calm down a bit. Like most Saints fans, I know where we are as a club. This is probably our best league season since I started supporting them 40 years ago. It might not last, we could indeed fall like a stone, end up bottom 6 and having to beat the likes of yourselves to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle. I doubt it this season, but it could happen. You, on the other hand, like a lot of Killie fans on here, seem to have some weird sense of entitlement which is crazy given the state of your squad, which is mainly made of injury prone journeymen and youngsters on loan, most of whom cant even get in the team. Fair play, you have a decent manager evidenced by a total of 19 points which is a massive overachievement with that squad. You may win on Monday. Armstrong might play a blinder, and we might not defend set pieces properly. Equally, we may win as we have generally better players than you at the moment. Who knows. However, we are both similar sized clubs who will have ups and downs, so please calm it down with the Billy big baws patter.
  8. We could potentially move to a 3-4-1-2 with Gogic, O'Hara and Kiltie further forward, but would definitely need someone else to come in to offer more strength in depth. We also have Flynn and Reid, though Flynn doesnt have the energy of Erhahon or Baccus while Reid is untested.
  9. I think if we are serious about trying to qualify for Europe this season, we really need to be winning against teams like Killie. Given nearly all Killies goals this season have either come from set pieces or had involvement from Armstrong, I think all we need to do is defend properly and double up on their only decent player, if we do that we should win. Hoping for a big crowd to help Killie realise their ambition of building their own training ground, bless them.
  10. I think we should double his price before considering an offer from them. There will be plenty interest in him and i'm sure better career moves than going to play for them.
  11. I think for Goodwin to say that Dons should be going to St Mirren and Killie and winning is a bit disrespectful, so he deserves what he gets. Well done Killie, 19 points at this stage of the season with that squad is quite remarkable.
  12. I'd shake hands on a draw right now. Livi get to steady the ship after a couple of defeats while we get a point to marginally improve our stinking away form.
  13. Can relate to the joys of the vidiprinter, with scores along the bottom while watching the wrestling. Started supporting Saints around 79 mainly due to a couple of pals at school supporting them - everyone else supported Rangers or Celtic but I always wanted to go against the crowd. Neither my mum or dad liked football, but eventually, after months of watching the vidiprinter and nagging them to take me to a game, they finally relented - only for it to be postponed due to a frozen pitch, I was heartbroken. Finished 3rd that season and I thought at 10 it would always be like that. Now my son is 10, and with us a point of 3rd he thinks the same thing!
  14. Brophy is on a 3 year contract, doesn't expire till summer 2024.
  15. Didnt see that coming. Killie should play without Power more often.
  16. I did kind of tell you all how this season would go, not that any of you listened. At least you're not cut adrift at the bottom.
  17. Would love it if we could sing "sacked in the morning" on Saturday for the second time this season to an ex manager who went all billy big baws on us.
  18. Sadly as a Saints fan i've seen this many times from Goodwin teams. He was a good manager for us, but his inability to get his side to see out wins was his biggest downfall. We almost came to expect losing late goals - general routine of taking off your best players and most attacking threats, replacing with lesser more defensive players, hitting the ball anywhere and leaving no-one up to hit on the counter. To be fair, when he was with us he used to do that against the likes of County and St Johnstone, so I suppose its progress if he's now just doing it against the old firm. Having said that, the defending from Roos at the second goal and Stewart at the third were laughably bad.
  19. The reason I raise it at times when he speaks out on racism is because its hypocritical for him to say he challenges all discrimination when there is this rather large elephant in the room that he's never spoken about. If someone else without his baggage was doing this, it wouldnt be an issue. I work in social work - if I had received the conviction Bartley has, i'd lose my job and be struck off. You cant appoint someone with that record to the post of equality advisor.
  20. If a candidate had a conviction for a racially aggravated offence, could they have been appointed equality officer? What about someone convicted of a homophobic hate crime? Is abusive behaviour towards women viewed in football as a lesser crime that is acceptable? Its about time the ethics, or lack of them, in football was scrutinised. Goodwillie is the perfect example. Raith rightly called out for his signing, dont play him, send him back to Clyde, another outcry, again rightly - but he'd been playing for them before that for 5 years without comment! Totally bizarre.
  21. I didnt compare Bartley to Savile - I made a comparison between those like you who praise Bartley's very good work calling out racism but choose to ignore other aspects of him that undermine his anti discriminatory views, such as his conviction, similar to those, many in the establishment, who for 4 decades spoke highly of Saviles charity work while ignoring his child abuse (admittedly an extreme example but hopefully you follow the point). Bartley was absolutely right to call out racism, as I have always done when i've heard it, and Cowan was over the top in his response, and who knows it may have been due to personal issues between him and individuals. I had hoped there could have been a more nuanced debate however about whether an SFA equality advisor should be allowed to have a conviction of the nature Bartley has, however sadly that appears to be lost on some here. I would think the perspective on it may unfortunately differ depending if you are male or female.
  22. Nice deflection. I shouldnt really have to justify my own record on this, but as you've seen fit to make a personal attack on me, here goes. In the 90's, I challenged some wee ned Saints supporter for shouting racist abuse at Richard Cadette in a game v Falkirk and got him banned. I challenged Saints fans at Ibrox who racially abused Tugay, raised it with stewards who said I had the problem. More recently, I challenged Saints fans at Cappielow for racially abusing Jai Quitongo, and recieved abuse from other Saints fans for doing so. Back in the 80's and 90's I helped organise anti racist and anti facist demonstrations every St Andrews Day. So dont fecking come on here and insinuate I am racist, simply because I point out the cognitive dissonance of someone claiming to challenge all forms of discrimination when they have a criminal conviction for threatening a woman, an act for which he has never apologised.
  23. When he accused Cowan of bullying him, he said he would continue to call out ALL forms of discrimination, a bit difficult with his history. The fact, within a relationship, he felt able to be abusive and intimidating should make him unfit for the role of equality advisor. The bar to even get these matters into court is quite high. Previously someone made the point that we all may have done things in our life that we're not proud of - perhaps, but what percentage of the population have a conviction for intimidating and threatening a woman, yet someone with this record is equality advisor? Make it make sense.
  24. Which is my point. His history and failure to accept responsibility for it undermines the absolutely correct message he is giving on racism. Poor choice as SFA equality advisor for that reason.
