  1. thought that was Archie McPherson but then I got it...aye spot on...
  2. Although I understand the seriousness of the situation in Rotherham, I dont believe its a 'one or the other' situation ...and i find it difficult to put this down as "pish". Quite a few folk have had lives ruined cos this lassie has decided to make up a wee fantasy land and fairly elaborate stories. But I guess its the colour of the folks skin she's targeted that makes it not worth reporting in your eyes?
  3. I'm sure all of us at some point make assumptions. I didn't say on this particular case but ye cannae seriously tell me you dont watch the news or read something online and are swayed with what is said before you know the full story? Is not then yer Sherlock Holmes
  4. I've only got Feb - Brian Jonestown Massacre - Manchester and Edinburgh mind you March - The Black Angels Need to get my finger out and buy some tickets...
  5. Really enjoyed the first episode of Happy Valley. Great script and Sarah Lancashire is top notch and a role she was born to play. Looking forward to seeing where it finishes...just a shame the Beeb wont let us binge watch it!
  6. second this...although I watched it the day after a really heavy night out and was greeting most of the way through it thinking "aboot ma pals".
  7. Anyone been following the fairly bizarre case of Eleanor Williams. The Lassie claimed she was raped by an Asian Grooming gang but it seems like its all complete fabrication. She even went as far as buying a claw hammer and inflicting pretty horrific injuries on herself to gain sympathy. Eleanor Williams: Barrow woman guilty of false rape claims - BBC News Obviously its created mayhem in a fairly small town with people she accused, and even Asians in general being subjected to a racial abuse. She must have fairly big issues going on but its hard to feel sorry for someone who has knowingly caused harm to another human through their actions. I followed a link to a #justiceforellie Twitter page which is bizarrely still active. Its depressing looking at the posts from when her allegations are made public with the inevitable racism and jumping to conclusions from the general public. I believe £20K asa raised through a Gofundme page. I know we all do it but this case in particular shows it in a shocking light considering how far from the truth it was. Loads of cretins scrambling to get folk like Piers Morgan involved in the campaign... f*cked up...
  8. ah - theres a character in that new Netflix film Glass Onion who it sounds like could have some characteristics of this guy based on!
  9. always watch Paul Calfs Video Diary at this time of year. Set on 30th/31st December 1993 so its a good time to watch it. So many great lines in it. Especially funny is his berating of John Hannahs character. "say it - 'I'd rather see Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth".
  10. jeez, I'd struggle doing a top 100, nevermind a top 10.. anyway, aff the tap of ma heid: Jaws Goodfellas Performance Billy Liar Dead Mans Shoes Trainspotting Kes The Big Lebowski Apocalypse Now Stand By Me
  11. jumped on here to get some banter about the actual game, but c*nts still going on about Goodwillie..jesus wept...see ya...
  12. ha yes, knew I knew the name....did Gary Mabbutt not do the same a few years later?
  13. Did he play for Man City? Or am I getting mixed up?
  14. I like it...dont go out my way to watch it but when I turn on the TV and its on I keep it on. Its certainly one of the best of the 8pm-9pm comedy slot programmes around(not many these days to be fair!)
  15. Interesting point made on the Falkirk Daft Podcast about Morrisons drop in form since Yeats moved from Right Back. Its a good point that Morrison would prefer a quick ball and McKay doesn't have the skill to do this so once he gets the balls and works out what he is going to do with it, the opposition defender has shut Morrison out.
  16. I'd recommend Silver Machine Records In Falkirk. Only opened a few months but I was surprised when I visited with the amount of decent stock they have(only issue was I didnt have time on the day to look through properly). Mostly second hand but a few new items and prices were decent. Just off the high street.
  17. Another great show guys. Really enjoying these! Think it probably helps that theres a bit of positivity(on the field at least) around the club this season so the podcast has come at a good time...not sure I'd enjoy it so much analysing some of the games from the past few seasons! But full credit to you guys.. p.s loved the rendition of that Walter Rojas song, that me laugh out loud as the kids say!
  18. ah right, that rings a bell too. Aye, certainly had hair like a helmet...
  19. thats the one, thought we'd gone 1 up, but that's my memory.... forgot about Huistra at 2.08, what a dick.
  20. Did we have a 1-1 draw with them at Ibrox some point in the league around then too? 1994 maybe? I couldn't get a ticket for the Falkirk section and as I refused to miss a game in those days i got a ticket for the home end through a guy I worked with (i know I know) - was interesting trying to hold back when Falkirk scored....I was above the Falkirk fans too so that was equally bizarre. Could be wrong but think we went 1-0 up and they equalised. First and last time I watched a Falkirk game in the away end and concreted my hate for Rangers
  21. 1) Trainspotting 2) Wicker Man 3) Small Faces 4) Angels Share 5) Gregorys Girl
  22. aye, one of my mates - a Hibs fan - was laughing at the fact we were making a big deal of the win. Of course a lot of that was him seething and in his words "it was only a glorified pre season friendly" (aye ok) . But I explained/reminded him we've had years of utter utter sh*te and to have just a glimmer of something positive is enough for us to feel like we're at least starting to get the club we know and love back. Personally I'm over the moon but I'm unfortunately a glass half empty guy and will wait til the first Quarter of the season before I start to make judgements on if things have truly changed. But theres no denying its nice to have a bit of positivity!
  23. "Smallkirk" ha man thats a belter, truly. Give yerself a big red hand pat on the back sir.
  24. aye man, was crazy. I'm in Leicester. I'd been out the Friday night and woke with a terrible hangover. Head fcking banging. Game was on TV or I managed to get it. Couple of my Leicester mates came round to watch it. After 2-0 we had the beers out and I was hammered. They couldn't believe wat they were watching(neither could I). But yeah talk about coming down with a bump. When he missed that chance I just had that feeling...we have those "feelings" too many times as Falkirk fans dont we?!
