  1. Finished Snowfall on Iplayer last night. Really enjoyed it although dragged on a bit on final episodes - brutal as well. Great show and characters...
  2. excellent work, the view for the 3rd Falkirk goal is cracking
  3. great stuff, listening/watching now at work....liking the change to the opening titles to mix it up a bit.
  4. saw 'Tierney' trending on Twitter so assumed he might be on his way but turns out he impressed on his sub appearance against Barca so few Arsenal fans want him to stay
  5. wee guy came upto me and my mate at an away game last year. Absolutely off his nut, slurring his words and swaying around. I thought my mate knew him and I was concentrating on the game and not really listening. Then the Wee fanny started going on about Norrie.. I heard my mates voice raising saying "got f-all to do with the game and you weren't even born ya wee dick! before adding "jog on or I'll knock you out" ... im sure all teams have absolute fuds in their support but still no time for it or any "whataboutery" that comes with it. Good opportunity for folk to call it out and the club needs to get involved. If they are wee kids doing it they need to be treated like wee kids and nice stuff taken away from them for doing it.
  6. Was discussing this with my mate he suggested 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by The Verve - nice big strings and drums! could even get a chant of this along with the string part "The Falkirk Falkirk Bairns Falkirk Bairns Falkirk Bairns" aye ok sh*te enough
  7. kept seeing one over the weekend - think tis a phone network. Woman smiling into her phone and going "aw" whilst all sorts of mishaps happened to her husband that she is oblivious to. She'd be getting that phone launched into the sea if it was me.. Just goes on for ages as well.
  8. another band from late 90s/early 2000s. Really loved this album, saw them at Tuts. Signed to Alan McGee's Poptones label. Definitely Ride influence going on here but maybe bit too melodic and not enough FX pedals to be truly Shoegaze...album is great though cracking epic ending on this one...
  9. not many people know about these...great album...this tune has abit of a 'Leave Them All Behind' by Ride feel.. ..another tune called Come Alive is worth a listen. Says 2006 but was deffo around late 90's it came out.
  10. The Verve - This is Music i Can hear Music - The Beach Boys Aphex Twin -We Ate the Music Makers Wild Cherry - Play that Funky Music The Doobie Brothers - Listen to the Music
  11. aye, I actually prefer the self service. I normally annoy the woman behind the til in the local tesco garage when there's no queue at her and I still use the self service - in my head I'm freeing up her in case someone who needs to pay cash comes in but the way she looks at me I think she thinks I'm an ignorant c*nt...bit of both
  12. This is a real Michael McIntyre one ("dont you just hate it when...") and I'm sure been done before. My local Tesco Garage has just had some Self Check Outs installed. So there's one checkout with a human, and three for self service. I left work without my wallet yesterday, needed a bottle of water and managed to find enough change in glove compartment. Get to Tesco and theres a f*ck off massive queue to the Human person and no one at the self service. The Woman behind the Till is shouting that if anyone has a card they can use the self service - no one budges...so I'm stood there for ten minutes. Maybe no one did have a card but seems highly unlikely to me. I was thinking and maybe there is a flaw - but could supermarkets not give you a discount if you use self service?...or maybe double your points after all you are saving the staff some work and might encourage more folk to use them!
  13. Was having a similar conversation with a mate on Saturday. A lot of people are still hurting from the play offs and some folk I spoke to said they felt some matters hadn't been addressed by McGlynn....it was a case of we did the best we could and lets move on quickly. The expectation is we need to come out of the traps flying but the worry is we don't really look like that's going to happen. I'm personally not going to panic over some pre season friendlies but I can understand why people do. We've had such a shite time of it people are desperate for some glimmer of sunshine! But its not like McGlynn is suddenly going to revamp his whole tactical approach however if we can re-create the type of football we had at the first half of last season. The staticians might be able to help but I have a (foggy) memory of us absolutely battering teams in terms of possession and shots but just not putting them away either through luck or not having someone in the box to finish. When we signed Jordan Allan the talk was he'd be the guy who would be in the 6 yard box getting on the end of the crosses.....whether or not thats the case remains to be seen but if not I agree its not going to be easy for McGlynn if results don't go our way early doors.
  14. wow, even that pic brings back some memories...queuing round the block for Indiana Jones. I actually own one of those 1960s/70s oil light things they used to project onto the screen at the start before the trailers/adverts..always reminds me of going to the pictures. "main street cam-e-lon"
  15. exactly what I said to my mate last night. Take the situation with Rowe last season. I don't think anyone predicted him coming in - i don't even know what links we have with Cov City. There isn't a lot of options in Scotland for decent Right Backs, so McGlynn could be waiting to see what comes available down South on loan and do the same again and probably a bit early for English clubs? We're still in June...if we we get to August then I might understand the panic. Understand would be good to have the starting line up in place now but I'd have no issuing waiting if it gets the best option in.
  16. ah shit, yeah remember his penalty OG now! Just did a bit of research and unless I got my dates wrong, the day before Liverpool played Chelsea on the last day of the season. Dalglish Player Manager(first season?) at the time. Liverpool needed a win to clinch the league. They had been trailing Everton by 13 points a few months earlier. I actually remembered it once I saw the highlights, Dalglish with the goal, chesting ball down and burying it -great goal for Liverpool to win 1-0. (Also notable that wee Crunchie came on as sub on the 80th minute for Chelsea!). Looks like Dalglish and few other Liverpool players must've flown straight upto London for the Testimonial game on the Sunday.
  17. Sorry wasn't aware of that(not that i should have been) Ultimately I will. But merely just chatting about the lads prospects this season. As usual on this thread you try to start something in a positive way and it gets misconstrued!
  18. yeah I agree to be fair. Was just pointing out what the argument against will be.
  19. yeah its a tricky one. Certainly 17 is a decent age to start getting some game time but then I do appreciate the correct mentality needs to be there and a level of protecting the player. Think a lot of us are so excited to have a potential decent player from the Youth Set up come through as for obvious reasons its been so long, but again need to appreciate we don't want to add pressure onto the lad.
  20. aye Edgar has been doing solo stuff for a while now -bit different from the Garagey/Blues stuff of The Stairs but some great stuff. Theres a tune called 'Mellow Down Pussycat' I love. You might dig this -- great tune from Edgar as well:
  21. I think mine was 1986 -Kenny Dalglish Testimonial - was it a testimonial? Maybe something to do with his 100 caps? Think it was sort of Scotland select team vs an Anglo Scots team - cant really remember who played though. I was talking to a Scouser mate of mine recently who mentioned that game was the day after Liverpool won the league(not sure if true) - If so, the fact he made it upto Hampden is pretty amazing..sure there might have been a hangover in tow!
  22. How old is Carroll? I remember when he got on for ten mins last year vs Edinburgh City(I think) there were a lot of glowing reports. I had hoped we'd see more of him in games where we were far enough ahead score wise to stick him on but obviously we didn't have many of those situations! Gets into that age argument of if you are good enough you should play so will be interesting to see if he does get some game time this season - hope so!
