  1. Yes, what a thread this is turning out to be. Ric doing really well to keep his powder dry here.
  2. Percentage of population attending football matches.
  3. I think it's more a question for Rangers and Celtic fans to be honest, do they really want to leave? Do they want to give up historical grudge matches like Aberdeen and Hearts? Do they want to replace away games you can get to in a afternoon with ones that you can't? If they do then fair enough, and I can't certainly see the appeal. I personally wouldn't have any problem with them moving on. Scottish football will still find it's level, most teams will still be concentrating on academy players and free transfers. The one thing I would say though, is that if they go, they go. No leaving reserve teams or B teams in the league. That would be shit.
  4. Great result last night. I thought we played much better with the back 4. I think sometimes Jim gets a wee fixated on a system at times instead of going with what suits the players we have. Last night we just didn't have the players in the park for a 3-5-2. The first goal we scored was just everything that's good about having Richard Tait in the team, yet we didn't have that in the first half because he was playing in midfeild trying to fit this formation.
  5. Never been more confident about a penalty being missed.
  6. Would have been easy to have turned it into the net, had to work really hard to make sure he didn't. And game over.
  7. It's mental Celtic are in a situation where those two and Bain are anywhere near a start.
  8. You could see the whole bottom 3 winning with Saints, Well and United all with winnable quarter finals at the weekend. Maybe Well have a bit more to play for with it being a local derby, but having had extra time while Hamilton had a rest this week, I'm not sure. You'd get good money on the treble.
  9. First half hour or so wasn't great, but it's been good enough since then. Livi clinging on now. This will be a real missed opportunity for them if they end up going out.
  10. Lafferty has been great for Killie since they brought him in. Few folk on here should be eating some humble pie over that one.
  11. None of the premiership teams seem to have played well tonight, but they are all through. That wee bit extra quality has counted in the end in all the games.
  12. I think you'll be fine. We are an OK team, on a bit of a downer recently to be fair, but still better than whoever you will play in the playoffs. That game could have gone either way. Would certainly be tough to call it over two legs. ETA, to be brutally honest, the game was probably a lot more important for us.
  13. I wouldn't be upset to see any of them stay, I just think Jim might release them. If we were to keep one of them it would be Durmus for me. He's better at the wing back role Goodwin has had them playing in, can take a set piece and has way more end product than Connolly, in my opinion anyway.
  14. I would like Fraser to stay because he's solid, tends to be fit, and can play a couple of positions. He's not the greatest player to play for us, or the most exciting, but he plays every week and rarely lets us down. Problem with guys like Obika, Durmus and Connolly up is that they are the exact opposite. They aren't consistent enough, don't always look fit enough, and have all struggled to nail down a spot as an absolute must pick starter. They've all done a good job at times, and will be remembered fondly, but the big question is "can we do better?" and I think we can. Also, these guys need to be somewhere they are playing every week. They aren't guys you should have hanging around as backup. Goodwin hasn't really let us down when it comes to recruitment so far. Got a bit unlucky with Quaner and Chabbi, and Sheron and I suppose Mason have been a bit of a waste of time, but everyone else has contributed.
  15. Yeah, JDH will be gone, and I also think Jim will not offer Obika, Durmus and Connolly new deals. Add Morais and Flynn and that's 6 right there.
  16. I defo did, I just checked! Voted at number 7. I'm guessing it got 14 points from 3 votes rather than 2.
  17. It would be some scenes if Gatland didn't pick Sexton for the tour. This would be dropping O'Driscoll x100. I would fucking love it.
  18. Totally agree, it'll work out well for Eddie in the end, but he does seem to upset a lot of players in the process. We are in the middle of a world cup cycle and he's managed to lose Mercer at 23 and Redpath at 21, two young guys who are absolutely ready to step up and will be at the right age in 2023, and seemingly he's lost them just because he's a bit of a twat.
  19. Attack coach. Forwards coach would give been quite an interesting appointment! Is it attack coach then? I was quite surprised to read forwards coach there!
