  1. Can’t say they don’t deserve the lead. All they have to do now is hold onto it - unlike last week…….
  2. rrriigghhtt....... Okay, try this: "naah that's Joe Cardle."
  3. Have you always been a fanny, or did you have to work at it? Purely rhetorical, how you got there really doesn’t matter.
  4. Same turnstiles for the western end of the Cowshed and for the WDE.
  5. Not as such, as is the way these days you have to queue twice - once to buy a ticket and then again to actually get in. Why football fans have to go through this rigmarole is beyond me. The ticket office at the ground on Sinclair Street is open on Saturday from lunchtime. I believe you can also buy tickets online from our website, but I’ve never had to do that so I can’t tell you how good, bad or indifferent that system is.
  6. Ooh, touchy! Public forum sunshine, free to all, just like ours is. Put me on "ignore" if I rattle your cage, I assure you I won't be offended. Meanwhile in the spirit of friendship I'm happy to help you gather up your toys and pop them back in the pram. Before they get covered in mud.
  7. Nice touch to title the thread in the Garlic, leaves a very tempting aroma wafting across the whole board . And in true P&B style it won't agree with everybody. Even better.
  8. I only caught the last ten minutes of the game, but Thomas’s goal was a cracker. BTW, @Hammer Jag is conspicuous by his absence tonight……. I wonder why? In just four days since his “haha Morton” post when the Pars equalised his team have conceded eight (EIGHT) goals and lost out on six goals. Ain’t football wonderful sometimes?
  9. …..and it’s called humour. Not something appreciated when you’re doon at the bottom obviously. As many of us can remember…….
  10. hmm, another fan from a relegation-threatened team ending his post with "thank you" ...... Please don't let this become a trend; it's bad enough having to read the posts of that other idiot.
  11. Most of us do, of course, but there’s a small minority who: a) choose not to b) can’t afford to c) (new category) can’t afford the fuel d) can’t drive e) can’t read railway or bus timetables (see some earlier posts) f) consider themselves Uberfans and won’t go near anything as humbling as a supporters’ bus (see some earlier posters) g) would rather just wind up opposition fans on P&B and, even worse, Twitter and watch the game on cooncil telly while dishing out riddies to the posts of the sensible (edited to add: check bottom right hand corner - took just three minutes for the first of the po-faced to react ) h) some or all of the above The elite amongst us, of course, will see you there. Where can I safely park the Bentley?
  12. Should've gone to SpecSavers........ .......and you're very welcome.
  13. Good weekend for us, with the Pars and Hamilton drawing and Queens and of course Ayr losing. Two points clear in sixth place again and a better goal difference than all the teams below us. That’ll do.
  14. Nae luck re COVID, I hope it’s a mild dose, but yeah the streaming service is good. It’s not Pixelot, the camerawork’s pretty good ( so is the pitch, by the way!) and it’s generally agreed that Gerry McDaid and Andy Ritchie make a great commentary team. Hope you enjoy it (but not much!)!
  15. That second para didn't seem right to me so I've had a quick trawl through the Morton thread from before Gus was bagged till after Dougie was appointed. There isn't a single post from any Morton fan sticking up for Gus or saying he should've been given more time or shouldn't have been dumped. Not one. Can't be arsed trawling through the Morton board in the same way, but if anyone was backing him on there then that's where you should've posted that stuff. You're just trying to rewrite history yet again in order to stir things up. What you get out of peddling this sort of nonsense I do not know. Care to explain?
  16. Personally I agree that the timing of his bagging was strange. I think he should've been gone before that game in the diddy cup against Queens and that we should've had someone lined up to step in who then had that game as a free hit before the important stuff picked up again with the league games. Anyway, onward and upward. Hopefully.
  17. The fixture itself was largely irrelevant, but what was important at the time was the performance - and it was woeful. Therefore the decision was made that he was going. As for your second and third questions, don't ask me; I'm not on the board, and I wouldn't have handed him a two year deal in the first place
  18. It was allegedly decided after the midweek QoS defeat that that was enough and that he would be punted after the Ayr game on the Saturday regardless of the result.
