  1. Keep: Barron, Besuijen, Ramsay, McCrorie, Watkins, (Ferguson in the unlikely event he doesn't leave. Gtf: the rest.
  2. Gallagher struggling since Ojo nailed him. all set for Considine to come off the bench to score the winner Or an own goal
  3. Ojo at rb or McCrorie with Ojo backfilling in midfield? Would probably prefer Ojo there. That's a defensive job today.
  4. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that, instead of trying to persuade the electorate that redistributive policies are in everyone's interests, we should assemble a mob, get these fuckers heads on spikes and take all their stuff.
  5. It was only 3-4 years since they'd collapsed though. Not mutually exclusive from wanting some extra cash
  6. Pretty sure milne was still fuming about the other clubs voting through the Setanta deal.
  7. 21 yo, international at all age groups, surely been training with quality players at Newcastle? Erm, as you were...
  8. No they're not There's standardised lists for different ingredients. Multiply kcal/gramme by no of grammes =calories.
  9. Had a bit of left over stock (knorr, nothing fancy) when making soup so decided to put it in a mug and drink it. Was a bit bland so i gave it a good skoosh of sriracha. Was quite good so i made a big mug of it yesterday. Confirmed it was well peng. Recommended.
  10. Hopefully he's got something else lined up and this wasn't some ill thought through negotiating ploy from the agent.
  11. Here's a light hearted fun toy you can use to give yourself sleepless nights. I don't know what most of the Russian arsenal consists of but that tsar bomb thingy looks like it would make a bit of a mess. https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/
  12. I'm considering signing on as a trainee reporter and passing off some of the pttgoyn thread as news. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/family-kids-news/womans-frustration-being-asked-take-23603649
  13. I'd imagine there's some flat capped whippet breeder in Sheffield infuriated that they never specified that Scarborough is in North Yorkshire.
  14. It is controversial because a lot of people disagree with it for a wide variety of reasons. A lot of people who disagree with that statement have no issue with trans people and support trans rights. Making the debate about the rights or wrongs of a definition moves the debate away from the practicalities and real things that can be done for trans people. And that plays right into the hands of those that oppose those rights. So actual real progress in society can be held back by people insisiting on a fundamentalist position.
  15. The whole debate about what the objective reality of the situation is very unhelpful. For starters, most people seem to be starting from the position that there is such a thing as objective reality, which is itself a controversial position. Surely it is more important whether people will respect the wishes and choices of other people that whether you agree with some slogany definition.
  16. Is it the club administration kidding on that they pulled out because of a disagreement with Celtic rather than because the fans had turned on them. I think that's overly simplistic. There's clearly a different cadence to each phrase with "Celtic" first sounding more smooth and flowing and "Rangers" first sounding more jaunty. If you're going for anthemic or serious the former works better but the latter would work better for an upbeat singalong. That said, any version of that song is dung, whatever order the words are in.
  17. It's not like he wasn't offered a contract. 3 year deal with Cove incoming.
  18. Looks like the lazy assumption that Islam is the problem here might not be accurate: (from hrc. Org) "As early as 1988, gender reassignment surgery was declared acceptable under Islamic law by scholars at Egypt’s Al-Azhar, the world’s oldest Islamic university. In Iran, in 1987, Ayatollah Khomeini declared transgender surgical operations allowable. The basis for this attitude of acceptance is the belief that a person is born transgender but chooses to be homosexual, making homosexuality a sin. Nevertheless, many transgender Muslims after reassignment surgery suffer rejection, socially and culturally, in their own communities due to their remaining in their place of origin. If one is unable to relocate to another region where they are not known, they often suffer verbal and physical violence."
  19. That picture of the nail clippers on teeth did it and the bit about the injections in the eye. Injuries with a cruching sound will do it, real or fictional. Bit baffled by the whole cotton wool, spoons and holes stuff though. Bunch of loonies.
  20. I don’t think so. You could argue that it reveals a high level of vanity and self regard that would be a proper reason. i don’t mind him too much personally, just from his occasional master chef appearances and sometimes hearing his radio 2 show. I can see how he might be grating if you were regularly exposed though.
