  1. Robbed in 2 matches against these p***ks by a phantom pen and McGregor's impunity and they're still crying about injustice.
  2. Still to early to judge IMO. He's still in the running to be decent. Or really good. Or shite. More points certainly wouldn't hurt.
  3. It's tough love. Coping with baffling refereeing is an important part of the game, especially against the cheeks. I'm sure they'll get it. Also i'm probably experiencing selection bias because all the times they calmly mopped up crosses and long balls didn't get on the highlights.
  4. One of my kids will be getting a hiding for tampering with the tivo. Sportscene highlights only. Looked ok. Probably not for neutrals or fans of aesthetic football but i'd have liked to see it. Unbelievable call for McGregor to get away with wiping out hedges. Unbelievably shite defending straight after. Looks like we still need to sort out the defence. Maybe introduce them to each other and allocate positions would be a start. That's a particularly dislikeable rangers team, even by their horrible c**t standards.
  5. I was complaining but I wasn't complaining about the tackle being mentioned. I was complaining because we only ever hear one side of the story about the rivalry* and taking the opportunity to make a gratuitous comparison with the Third Reich. Interestingly (or not) one potential narrative which is never mentioned in the Scottish press is directly related to anti catholic bile. Alex Ferguson particularly wanted to beat Rangers because he thought they treated him badly for having a catholic wife. That would have rubbed off on the team and potentially influenced the crowd. *it's not been a sporting rivalry for about 30 years. We just hate rangers.
  6. I had no idea who he was married to so i looked it up. I'm now furious. Stacey is lovely and you should have a good hard think to yourself.
  7. I'm not sure that general tax makes it any less independent than a direct tax on tv ownership. Being reliant on an allocation or grant from the government would be little different from periodical licence fee and charter reviews which rely on the government. If you don't accept that broadcasting can be a public service, fair enough. There are plenty commercial enterprises that rely on taxation. Some of them even provide a public service too. Nobody should pay for Strictly Come Dancing because it is a steaming pile of poop.
  8. Agree with your first paragraph. But the funding model will impact on content. Don't understand your comment on general taxation and why only a subscription model would work. That seems like a massive leap without any arguments.
  9. I don't know why people put time and effort into shit like that. I guess it's meant to be funny or satirical or something.
  10. Spent some quality bonding time with my 11 year old at the weekend, teaming up to rip the piss out of the wife for claiming that ivor the engine was one of Thomas the Tank engine's mates. Fairly low level faux pas which she made worse by doubling down and insisting we look up.
  11. Christopher Peers @ChristophPeer · 12h Replying to @Mcplantaddict and @darrengrimes_ It's called a parody account, dipshit, how stupid do you think people are. Do you really think there's someone this pathetic who goes around talking about pints and Britishness that much? I'm honoured that you thought I was real though
  12. Re-watched this after seeing at the cinema. It was a bit better on second viewing but it's still a bit of a mess. I rated it a 6 (just) on first viewing and would uprate to a solid 6 now. The irish guy got even more annoying though.
  13. Pesonally i think the Hernandez affair was more about Dave trying to play at being a manager and less about doing anything shady. I just can't see what the shadiness would be. Could be wrong but we'll never know.
  14. Rick : What is that little white dot? Neil Pye : It's a little white dot. Rick : Oh very clever. Neil Pye : Must be really old telly. Rick : What, hippie? Neil Pye : It's a sign, that little white dot. It means something really heavy. It means there's no more telly, it's time to go to bed.
  15. Procurement and sales are about negotiating and working with people. design is barely entrepreneurial at all. You’re talking shite, with a bit of lime green.
  16. I was hoping for “he was shite anyway”, but that’ll do.
  17. They should have a mobile contract as well, for when the broadband cuts out.
  18. I wasn't aware that Rangers had an association with Sonic but you just know at least one Celtic fan has seen that and booked a supermario one.
  19. I didn't say they'd do it well. Channel 5 has a limited public service remit which includes a requirement to broadcast occasional news bulletins. That's why they interrupt films at ten o clock with 5 minutes of inane celebrity babble. Apparently ariana grande making a video is news. I think we'd get more of that sort of thing. The current beeb is well on its way even with the licence fee
