  1. So, nowhere near the worst case scenario for us. Probably just Duku and Tait away from our strongest eleven, with Kennedy/Ross as a bit of a toss-up. Unless I've missed someone, everyone's come through the Covid "outbreak" and made it into the match day squad. Nice to see Davo back, too.
  2. I love it when Jason Thomson goes on those runs down the wing. He's like a beanbag fired by an overzealous American polis.
  3. Derek Gaston's short sleeves really annoy me. It's something about him specifically, I don't think I'd mind it so much on other goalkeepers. Big Dwight Schrute energy.
  4. Fascinating competition between Paul McGowan and Pink Campbell, to see who had the bigger struggle getting up from one knee.
  5. Points per game would knock Morton down to fifth, wouldn't it? At this rate, next season's Rovers Hall of Fame inductee is going to be a big bit of cardboard with "PPG" scrawled on it.
  6. The St Mirren/Kilmarnock decision will really raise the bar for forfeiture of games. I think you'd have to be guilty of some fairly serious protocol breaches to lose games now. That said, as much as the club appears to be better run now than it has been for a long time, this is still Raith Rovers we're talking about. I look forward to reading an article in tomorrow's Record about last week's team night out to Kirkcaldy's newest oxygen bar.
  7. This wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Playing in goal for the Rovers is like being Spinal Tap's drummer.
  8. And I thought the worst thing I'd read today was an announcement that half of our squad has Covid-19. Thanks, raith1974, for keeping things in perspective.
  9. The Railway Stand was a very dull white elephant (shite elephant?) to get Stark's Park up to the SPL's 10,000 seat rule. It basically went unused for about twenty years and fell into disrepair. When Hearts/Hibs/Rangers were in the Championship the club renovated the "away" end and got it up to code, and those bucket seats add somewhere in the region of an extra 1,000 tickets to the away capacity. The "home" end is still mothballed, without any seats. We'd need 5,000 home fans to rock up before we needed it, and that's just not going to happen any time soon. Every now and again there's talk of that section being converted into terracing or hospitality facilities, but as of yet it hasn't come to anything.
  10. Just need to make sure we get the Challenge Cup final played before this load ends...
  11. They must be working on an announcement video that's an absolute belter...
  12. We're already playing Dundee on the Tuesday night.
  13. You would assume so. Maybe his agent isn't too happy that his highlight reel is soundtracked by a nippy wee c**t crying "awaaaaay we goooooo" all the time.
  14. Seems to be pretty much accepted that his loan at Caley is ending, but the chief football writer at the Sunday Mail reckons he's coming to Stark's instead. That would be a phenomenal move.
  15. Very appropriate for this weekend too, given the castle they chose to represent Colditz in the BBC series.
  16. Oh God, I've just realised. Postponement means we'll have to do this whole thread again at a later date. I simply cannot bear it, darlings.
  17. I suspect this is just a bit of reshuffling. There's been a couple more updates New Raith Rovers Ltd. John Sim is no longer registered as a person with significant control. Instead, NRR Investments Ltd has significant control. The sole shareholder in NRR Investments? John Sim.
  18. I was looking at that this morning to try and get a handle on it, and it's difficult to work out exactly what's happening because New Raith Rovers Limited and Raith Rovers Football Club Holdings Ltd have both filed updates today, but NRR Investments (in which John Sim is the sole shareholder) doesn't file for another couple of months. Stark's Park Properties hasn't filed any updates recently either, nor has Raith Rovers Holdings Ltd. John Sim had mentioned previously that he was looking into simplifying the ownership structure, and this could potentially be the first signs of that. When I get the time I'm going to pull together a full picture of the various group companies. I don't think anyone has done that since the Trust did in 2016.
  19. Good catch. I was clearly up all night tossing and turning after that horrible display and wasn't thinking straight.
