That just about sums it up just now, however, we are missing Portales and Lamie.

All things Dundee FC
Shadow Play replied to Mr Gandosaur's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I have to agree with the criticism of the defence. Although Shankland is a class act he’s not Messi and should not be waltzing through the centre of our defence like he did yesterday. At the other end Robinson should have scored with his header. The fact he didn’t even get it on target was incredibly poor. -
Dundee vs. Hearts - 3/2/2024
Shadow Play replied to RossBFaeDundee's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
First off, celebrating someone reaching a 100 years is definitely a good enough reason to miss Dens for a day - I hope the star of the day had a great time. Yeh, roughly that area. I get the fact that fans get frustrated with game management, especially with what has happened this season, but I think Doc has already earned our full support at the games. -

VAR certainly hasn’t been our friend. All I want is a bit of consistency. And yes, this joke isn’t funny anymore. It’s too close to home and it’s too near the bone. -

@Fifespud as a Main Stand resident did you hear the boy that was going berserk at Docherty after Hearts scored their third goal? I think his issue was the lack of subs Docherty used. -

Exactly this. No Shankland no three points for Hearts. I’m sure Hearts will do all they can to keep him. -

I sure hope you’re right WJ. Thinking logically about it I think Doc should continue his managerial journey with Dundee. All going well for him, in a couple of years time he should easily be able to land a far bigger and better job than Aberdeen if he wanted. -

It is indeed. In all seriousness I wouldn’t swap Doc for anyone on that list. I just hope the Aberdeen board feel differently. -

The Aberdeen board obviously had a fair idea immediately after last night’s game what was going to happen to Robson. Anyone know if any members of the Aberdeen board spoke to Nelms after the game? I think you can all guess my worry here. -
The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

Very harsh for a bottom 6 club to sack a manager after drawing with a top 6 side. -

Barry said he could turn it around. What’s going on here? -
Billionaire to Invest in Hibs
Shadow Play replied to jamamafegan's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
With regards to the theory Hibs will just become a feeder club - does that theory not ignore the fact that any Hibs player would have to agree to be sold to Bournemouth? A Hibs player on a 2 year deal would still be free to refuse such a move and wait on a bigger club coming in with a better deal or simply remain at Hibs. I understand Hibs may end up with more loan player from Bournemouth but if they are not as good as the players already at Easter Road presumably they will not get significant game time. -

Just shows you how far we’ve progressed that , despite new players in the squad, we are slightly disappointed at only getting a draw away from home to the only remaining Premiership New Firm side……….. -
Aberdeen v Dundee Tuesday 30 01 24
Shadow Play replied to Dundee-FC92's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
That’s not so good if that is the case. Would make sense though as I know quite a few people that have recently been off with cold / Covid / flu. -

Just been told he has a match ban carried over from England. No idea if that’s true or not but it sounds like a better option than an injury. -

Israel And The Palestinians (now with added Iran)
Shadow Play replied to xbl's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
It would appear the value of the aid being withheld is very significant. In 2022 USA, Germany, EU and Sweden contributed 61% of UNRWA’s funding total of $1.2 billion. There were no figures in the article regarding how much some of the other richest nations, such as Australia, China, Japan, Russia and the oil states contribute. Will they pick up the slack in the meantime? -

I must admit I remember Cove being extremely poor throughout the season in question. In fairness perhaps a Cove fan would be bettered placed that any of us as to whether McIntyre would have kept Cove up as Tattie36 stated. @CoveRangers1922 I’m happy enough to be proved wrong - again. If McIntyre had been kept, in your opinion would he have definitely kept Cove up? -

Shadow Play replied to Lichtie78's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
What makes you so certain he would have kept Cove up last season? I’m assuming your certainty is not based on the results he had? Given that a bigger club than Arbroath never came in for McIntyre, despite him being free, I’m guessing you’ve more faith in his ability than a lot of chairmen. -

After his recent managerial career he must have been amazed that he was offered a Championship gig. There is no chance that McIntyre will walk away. Which other club could he be possibly think will offer him a job after this post? -

Top story on Sky News. UK suspends aid to UNRWA. Israel has alleged that 12 members of the UN's Gaza aid group participated in Hamas' 7 October attack. The UK's decision comes after the US, Italy, Australia and Canada all also suspended additional funding for the UN aid agency.
