This. We can accommodate any of tonight's starters in our starting XI for an important match. But a team of 5/6 newcomers is asking too much.

You've got to admire them for not wasting effort attempting the impossible.

I can't see them winning it with the current playing squad unless other teams are weaker than last year. There appears to be a growing realisation in Brechin, that the Highland League is the present and the future.

I've seen Brechin, Formartine, Fraserburgh and Inverurie (4 of the top 6) this season and much as I want Brechin to return to League 2 not one of these teams would currently hold their own in League 2. Only my opinion, of course.

I've seen Brechin 4 times this season and will be amazed if they beat team42. It's not impossible but it would have to be unexpectedly poor performances by the League 2 side. Even to get there against Spartans is not certain for Brechin. Sadly the standard of teams in the Highland League is not that great. Edit I'd like to see Bonnyrigg relegated. Great social club. Dreadful spectator facilities.

Not really. When they had posession in the second half (their far less bad half) they did nothing with it so can't be described as highlights. Pedantic i am. Interesting statistic is that they scored with 100% of their efforts on target

A dreadful 2nd half with little in the way of entertainment for a League 1 game. Mo did enough to collect the 3 points with a decent 1st half. P'head got a goal and have to be happy about that as it never appeared a possibility for 88 minutes.

Straightforward victory v Clyde. Relatively meh in the second half but the game was won by half time. Clyde have some real duds in their team and even if they finish 9th they will need luck, and a new Manager, to survive.

Dreadful standard of refereeing with a standside lino who was incapable of even making a wrong decision far less a correct one.

He played so few minutes for us it's impossible to make an assessment of his potential. I do hope he can contribute to keeping you boys up.
