  1. Finishing 6 seconds behind Alonso isn't bad for bang average.
  2. Don't know (apart from the likes of Selkirk and Syngenta who ceased to exist). But on the licensing awards pdf you can see clubs next licensing committee review date being a few months in advance rather than the next year, suggesting they have some things to work on before being given the okay for this year. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/10987/270923-club-licensing-awards.pdf
  3. Well I'm sure Kennie is on top of it, but there's four league games scheduled, three teams in the Junior Cup, one in the Strathclyde Cup which leaves four others - Kilwinning v St Roch's is a possibility (leaving Thorniewood v Whitletts, scheduled for January). Edit: looks like that has now happened.
  4. They will place the line on the attacker first, and then with the Hawkeye 3D crosshairs they can check each defender to find the closest point to the goal. Think I'd trust the lines more than the skewed camera angle or the linesman who isn't in line nor looking along the line.
  5. Regular reminder that prior to 2019-20 the rules were that the bottom team always went down, with their place being filled by application. Anything else is better than what we have now with the possibility of a bad team remaining in the league.
  6. Without the audio we don't know what the ref has told the VAR he's seen - if he didn't see the point of contact or level of danger then the VAR is right to recommend a review. We saw on the Sky programme how Clancy told Dallas something that didn't match the video, therefore that's a clear and obvious error. It is 100% red though, studs up and into the player just below the knee, dangerous, no chance of playing the ball.
  7. Since there's no Rob Roy thread this is as good a place as any - KRR have their first home game in almost two months (and another next week), but don't seem to be any closer to playing the now open Kirkintilloch Sports Complex?
  8. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/referees/referee-appointments/
  9. Don't think Monday night is a given, last Friday's slot on BBC Scotland was taken by the Women's team game so that's why it's on tonight.
  10. Some of those name errors are on https://www.xscores.com/soccer/country-games/scotland/28-10 so presumably they appear in the live feed supplied to the likes of BBC and Sky - but the apostrophe isn't and there's other differences... Just Rose apparently.
  11. Both their League 2 opponents have away trips next Saturday so better to play the cup midweek than reschedule a league game?
  12. Clubs have played 3 or 4 games more than this time last season so things should be ok, there's 28 Saturdays left with 21 league games plus three cups for Talbot to be played.
  13. Were any other clips shown as I don't have access to the full programme? Good that it confirmed the refs are talking to the VAR and telling them what they've seen. Funniest bit was Crawford Allan basically calling out Andrew Dallas and his "gonna recommend you have a wee look at it mate" to Clancy as not very professional! I think that's the big difference for football VAR compared to other sports which have had reviews for many years, they may be fine as referees and reviewing footage but when it comes to communication and process they've got a bit to work on to improve things, especially now as they should expect the public to hear what they are saying at some point.
  14. Round 2 games on 25th November as well as round 3 ties that can be played that date, otherwise 9th December. https://www.wosfl.co.uk/fg/2_540471499.html
  15. Counting the sprint race yesterday...
  16. TV Director should be getting their P45 for that wide camera shot selection at the chequered flag.
  17. Can't comment on what led to the restart but having seen your goal footage on youtube the referee did nothing wrong - drop balls are no longer contested, players must be 4 metres away, and it was more like 30 yards out so you can't blame the ref for your poor defence at two headers.
  18. Pretty sure the chart is just indicative for the latest round only, as the round 3 draw hasn't been announced https://www.wosfl.co.uk/fg/2_540471499.html (and then it'll adjust itself once updated after the draw)
  19. @HibeeJibee someone might want to fix the eosfl website to add the Stirling Uni v Albion Rovers result as it still appears in the fixture list! Clyde losing again, should give Musselburgh hope of a win on TV.
  20. The answer would appear to be no, after their first win today, 4-1 against Peebles who are in 12th.
  21. No idea of their progress other than Largs have planning permission, Maybole haven't applied. Numbers - 39/80 with yes on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023–24_West_of_Scotland_Football_League
  22. Oh sorry I get what you were asking now, foot was fully on the line.
  23. As posted in another thread, and it doesn't matter if there is goalie encroachment if the goal is scored.
