  1. How would a General Meeting of 42 clubs plus say maybe 10 other people work on Zoom. Would be chaotic as far as my knowledge of Zoom goes. Clubs are surely going to need to see something concrete from Rangers beforehand
  2. The reconstruction debate and issues are not solely focused on this one matter - there is a lot more to be factored in
  3. A football club is a social enterprise with a business structure at this level
  4. Eh no we were talking about being in the SPFL not outwith it
  5. Next you will be using that most expedient of phrases ‘sporting integrity’.
  6. The deal obviously starts when the League begins in August that will be part of the agreement. That said the broadcasters will likely be quite flexible in the circumstances
  7. It isn't unfair - you don't like it that's a different thing. If you change to 3 x 14 and are in the bottom 14 then that's fair enough.
  8. There's nothing unfair in the overall scheme of things about consigning Clyde to the bottom tier - you could equally state Clyde will fairly continue to be in the third tier so isn't a lesser league. It also potentially makes Clyde one of the better teams in the league instead of one of the lesser teams and they thus have a better chance of reaching tier 2
  9. Or we could reverse that tired old chestnut and say ‘Scotland has 42 ‘senior’ clubs and England only has 92 - there are too few clubs in England’
  10. Costs of playing behind closed doors - players and coaches, physio etc wages, stewarding to keep fans out, Doctor, 1st aid team, food for players, medical supplies, heating and lighting, water, transport costs to away games, pitch preparation, win bonuses (if any), cleaning, training costs, equipment
  11. Raymie Allan, Jim McArthur, Ernie McGarr - they were great goalies for Cowden
  12. Yes I’ve already made that point and posted on that theme for a long time
  13. There’s no tainted or asterisks involved - if they are awarded League they are champions - end of. Same as the Sevco/Rangers thing which is just tedious now. To all intents and purposes it is the same Rangers but folks are still arguing about it. What a waste of breath - let the two of them get on nitpicking and move on
  14. Douglas Park - says he WON’T provide evidence unless MacLennan, Doncaster and McKenzie aren’t involved. - wants a copy of the league’s
official whistleblower policy so the trio can’t have access to it. What does that second point actually mean?
  15. She should not be naming clubs that were given emergency loans as that is confidential information
  16. No way that both HL and LL champions should ever win straight promotion - say all the best teams end up in LL and it’s standard is higher than HL then that would not be equitable. You would need surely either 1st LL v 2nd H L and 2nd LL v 1st HL play offs to produce two winners or better still a group competition between all 4. Either that or Tier 5 becomes a National League
  17. No they aren’t until League positions are settled
  18. It’s not absurd it’s a better solution taking everything into account
  19. Well I assume it was one of those clubs that we have too many of and not one of those top two tier clubs where she knows the folk involved
  20. Well I think you also need to consider that a 14 team premiership under current rules would then require a 13:1 vote on major issues
  21. Look there is nothing amazing about the League giving a club in financial difficulties a loan repayable against fees due to it from the League a little later if it helps avoid insolvency or pay its players. It would be done on an emergency basis and without publicity for obvious reasons. In this case just getting the money was not the key driver for many clubs and in the past was only for one club with certainty as regards repayment
