  1. Rangers fans taking it well on twitter I see: https://twitter.com/4ladshadadream/status/1669072756699197442
  2. I think if you look at countries of a similar size, they have a lot more than six regions when you go down the pyramid. It also gives you the opportunity to strengthen ties to the Amateur game. Cupar Hearts (for example) would leave the a Fife League to go to a Fife and West Lothian League rather than having trips to Hawick. Although I get at the moment there is a weird West Lothian heavy feel to the Third. Same is true in the West, you have Lugar Boswell Thistle and Campbeltown Pupils in the same league at Tier 10 - a 3hr 50 drive according to Google. For me Tiers 6, 7 and potentially 8 should be region-wide, with Tier 9 and 10 being at a district level. With the EoS and WoS being much stricter on ground requirements at the Region-Wide level.
  3. I think once you get to Tier 8/9 districtisation is the sensible approach. I really don't understand the SFA's disquiet about it. They don't run the disciplinary procedures at that level.
  4. It's interesting this season. United will be favourites, which is often a poison chalice in this division as we've seen over the past few years. As for who will challenge us, Inverness and Thistle are both broke, Ayr are spending money on ground redevelopment. Morton are a dark horse, but again finances are tight at Cappielow. Think the surprise package will be Raith, new investment, a decent manager in Ian Murray as well, the signings they've made look decent. As for us, it'll come down to key moments like in 2019-20 when we had Shankland dig us out at the death at home to Arbroath, when in 2017-18 we drew at home to the worst ever side at this level. It's all academic until we sign someone, and get rid of Mulgrew and Edwards, as it seems we're losing out on many of the key targets
  5. They could, but that's on the SFA and UKAD to test. The SFA have a really poor record on anti-doping, think there's only been like 8 tests in a six months period, when other sports such as Athletics, Cycling, Boxing and even Darts have more tests.
  6. Can't believe this needs said but if they're not in a state to remember if they consented, then that's not consent. You absolute danger.
  7. Imagine getting rattled by a Drag Queen reading a story book. A total riddy
  8. Really enjoyed it, Series 3 was definitely the weakest of the three, with the whole Zava plotline felt like a bit of a waste. On the whole, it's a bit twee as others have pointed out, but not everything is Line of Duty or Succession. I see that Apple are already hinting at a spin-off featuring Beard, Nate and Kent.
  9. Very odd reading these last few pages, a number of Cowden fans (who I've always thought were alright tbf) seemed to be absolutely raging. It does feel very odd that virginton is 100% the good guy here Anyway, as others have said, part of a being National Governing Body is having proper Bylaws or Articles of Association that you must adhere to, otherwise risk punishment from UEFA/FIFA or sportscotland/Government - which is what we've seen with Cricket Scotland. You can't just break them to add a new league without a resolution or some other legal mechanism. It would be like the SFA announcing that the Scottish Cup is only for 16 clubs or something, it has to be done in accordance with the AoA - which are publicly available. One thing that hasn't been massively mentioned is the clubs that will abstain, Elgin City really seem to be the only ones so far to have hinted at that with the "It has nothing to do with us" comment. Imagine there will be a few others that will follow suit, especially the regional FA's
  10. League of Ireland clubs won't be involved for a while, after the Bohemians f**k up from a few years ago.
  11. Have it around 32/90 clubs that are either against or have ongoing fan consultations. Definitely still winnable for the Good Guys
  12. The whole Rangers had chucked argument is complete nonsense to those who watched the game. From 7:00 on they're going all out with Lee Gibson making two fantastic saves to keep City ahead in the 94th minute. Spiers is just being an absolute da, pretty sure he defended Goodwillie as well.
  13. My criticism wasn't with Morton - more with the clubs that haven't followed suit.
  14. It's the SFA we're talking about here tbf. The PWG docs and the actual proposal are two completely different things.
  15. It would be nice, but setting up extra cameras at say Galabank, might be difficult. Hope they go for six cameras at Hamilton on Friday and Saturday (and they are facing the Main Stand)
  16. You simply love to see it BUT quite disappointing there's been no official word from SPFL clubs. Falkirk, St Mirren, Morton and a couple of others said they would discuss it with fans a few weeks back, and there's been almost no chat since.
  17. BBC Alba are paying for production costs (and probably some other rights fee to the SPFL) in return we get Free-To-Air, professionally produced lower league football matches on the TV. BBC Scotland (which is funded separately) can't justify putting football on the TV every night (they already get criticsm for having too much football), and STV have no appetite to show live sport unfortunately. While it's not worth it for the Pay-TV channels Sky (don't care), BT and Viaplay (too small fry/cost inefficient). While the SPFL are too tinpot to organise any professionally produced live streams. What BBC Alba are doing is absolutely great, it allows us as punters to watch matches we wouldn't get to see otherwise, and allows them more viewers which is important politically. The only downside is that about 60-70% is in Gaelic. So I would say to OP, Who cares. Football is a universal language anyway. Long may it continue.
  18. Updated the list to include the four confirmed c**ts
  19. 2025 Island Games are in Orkney, so hopefully we'll get some proper TV stuff. Imagine BBC Channel Isles might do some stuff on this?
