  1. My apologies. First time in the cup in a while is what I should have said.
  2. Personally big fan of 6pm kick-offs, works perfectly for folk who work Saturdays as well. It won't always work for games like County for example, but for Aberdeen where it's just over an hour there and there's decent transport links, it's well worth trying. Fair play to both clubs for trying something different.
  3. Signing a rapist is okay for you but playing a song is where you draw the line. Weird mindset.
  4. The only time I've been done by the Mandela effect (that I know of) was when the Ukraine war kicked off about 7 months ago and I made a comment that "Gorbachev would be turning in his grave" only to find out he was still alive. It was so weird because I felt like I specifically remembering him dying about 3 years ago and even to the detail of reading Steve Rosenburg of the BBC's article on it. Obviously he passed on a few weeks back so it's a moot point now. It's been bugging me for a while why I remember it like that (especially because I have a pretty avid interest in Russian politics and history) and I think in hindsight, it was something like his "last-ever" interview with foreign press, but it still doesn't explain it.
  5. Quite shocked at how high the support is from Linke and the Greens. AfD looks about right tbf - they're a bunch of wrong-uns.
  6. For the ToB it will be operationally a nightmare with NEG and Police Motos, plus the race needs local authority support to run - so going on in these circumstances wouldn't exactly paint Isle of Wight Council (for example) in the best light. They'll find a way to stick these stages into next year's race.
  7. My rationale on this. Seriously, I think postponing this weekend's game at the Premiership and Championship (and SWPL1) level would be sufficient, as well as making sure there's no games on during Her funeral. That's the fair balance - postponing non-league games for two weeks is a bit OTT
  8. I'm genuinely shocked that is this some way to get insurance money or something? EDIT: @Alert Mongoose beat me to it.
  9. Unfortunately my industry doesn't really have a union, and is a semi-public organisation - so stuck with a 2% pay rise (an 8% real terms cut) Asked for more recently and was told by my manager "I think you're quite well paid" Fortunately, I'm in a decent position in the fact I'm staying with family rather than renting a flat, but christ there's not a chance I could afford a 1-bed flat to rent and heat on the pay that I'm on.
  10. Remember there was a rumour that Rangers were going to buy out St Mirren and do an Airdrie - obviously never went anywhere, thank goodness.
  11. Pretty sure he scored a hattrick against us for Dynamo Moscow
  12. Pollok's the biggest non-league side in terms of support, first foray into the Scottish Cup and are playing Huntly who have history in this competition, and have won the HL before. Makes sense tbh - as well as being logistically easy for the Beeb.
  13. Premier have 16 games across the tournament, so they can pick all four.
  14. If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, then I don't know what is.
  15. What you basing this on? BBC Scotland also don't control that output it's Studio Something
  16. Also the women's drives with an eyepatch, isn't that illegal given you'd have no depth perception
  17. I can't see Cowdenbeath on TV as how TV-unfriendly Central Park is - had it been the other way round then would have been a stick on. BBC also want to spread the games about it a bit - they've shown Brechin City, Darvel, Linlithgow, Clydebank, Auchinleck, Dundonald Bluebell, Gretna 2008, Buckie Thistle, Broomhill* and Berwick Rangers since the channel launched in 2019. Wouldn't be surprised if they opt for Pollok or Irvine Meadow
  18. Under the 2013 rules, any ground that is good enough for the Championship is also good enough for the Premiership, so Lesser Hampden, albeit on the small side, will be suitable by the rules. I mean Meadowbank ffs is almost suitable for the Premiership.
  19. I just opened a Chase account - and it works abroad with zero fees, and you actually get 1% cashback as well. Very good - used in the Netherlands recently and worked a treat.
  20. That's his name though Dylan Ozan Moyo Bahamboula
  21. Surely that's a 3-0 win to Panmure.
  22. Disgrace tbh. Wouldn't be the first time Highland Council have done something like this.
  23. Get the Opera browser - stops all ads on YouTube.
