Heart of Midlothian - 2022/23 European Tour
Ray Patterson replied to Elixir's topic in Scots in Europe
Jammy b*****ds. Seriously, best of luck lads and enjoy your 8+ European matches. Think Neilsonball might be alright in Europe, especially at a packed Tynecastle. In terms of seeding, Hearts will want the winners of the ECL to qualify for the CL or EL Groups as that will make them one of the Top 3 Priority 1 sides which means they'll likely face an easier opponent. Think Slovan Brataslava or Maribor instead of Fenerbache. -
Off The Ball - Is it good?
Ray Patterson replied to Buddist Monk's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
The Edit isn't that bad tbh - it's quite tinpot, but it's harmless TV before Sportscene. Certainly far worse "entertainment" magazine shows out there Amy Irons is actually quite a good presenter tbf, should just give her and Bradshaw Off the Ball and dispense with Tam and Stuart as they are really past their sell-by date. -
Greenies for any TTOI reference

Almost as if it's a relegation play-off!

The lack of shouts for the likes of Matej Rakovan, Alex Nicholls, Justin Johnson and Brandon Mason *shudders* is very disappointing. -

I am genuinely aghast at just how much a fucking dinosaur John Sim is. -

Wales vs New Zealand was also on Sky Sports News in 2006ish - I think every other home nation was playing at the same time at 7:45pm on a Wednesday night or something -

It's 48 they have in the deal, they've shown 35 + 7 scheduled, which is 41. They might show two more on the final day - but probably won't tbh. -

So a lot has happened since the last update! Highland League Fort William's 1-5 defeat at the hands of Brechin City finally confirms their place in the relegation play-off - after some signs of promise at the turn of the year - they haven't been able to kick on while Turriff and Strathspey have picked up points and more importantly wins. North Superleague Banks O'Dee had the league sewn up ages ago, their lead in the division has only grown. They are only two games away from another invincible season, in what may well be their last in the North Superleague. Midlands League Today's win by Carnoustie Panmure, puts them onto 92 points and confirms that Lochee United will not win the title, which means that there will be no Midlands representation in the HL Playoff. As neither the 'Gowfers nor East Craigie have cover nor floodlights and do not look like getting them any time soon. North Caledonian League Invergordon won the NCL last week as Loch Ness threw away the title late on. Despite their musings recently at getting a Licence, there's far too much work to do for this season. Hopefully, the SFA can sort out a Cup place for them next season though. The Playoff So we have Banks O'Dee facing Fort William in the inaugural Highland League playoff. With Fort's final league game against Rothes on Tuesday 19th April and Banks final two games still to be scheduled - although that midweek would probably be one of the dates, it looks like the 30th April and 7th May could be the dates for the Playoff. Although a lot is still be decided with BOD's cup commitments.

Monday or Tuesday?

He's a good guy as he is genuinely trying to help people, sometimes he can come across a bit of w**k, but overall he's saved people millions if not billions with his money saving guides and tricks. So definitely in the good guy camp.

The Highland League are more than happy enough to go with 17 teams (have done so before) next season so Fort will definitely have to beat BOD (they won't) to stay up. Wonder if they would invite applications for an 18th club though (apparently put feelers out to BOD 3 years back) in that case and didn't accept FW - which would be very funny.

Can't see it - they'd make the league 14 teams instead of relegating Aberdeen -

Really don't think that's too bad actually. Monday night in May sounds pretty decent actually. -
Also worth noting that the NL match is effectively a Euro 2024 qualifier as well - that game could be played in October?

Very interesting musings from Invergordon that they are keen on getting a club licence to go for promotion in the years to come. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish/4132004/invergordon-set-longer-term-goals-for-shot-at-play-offs/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Voting Lib Dem number 1 on my ballot - local councillor is very hard working and does a great job. Feel like voting Greens as 2nd purely so we can have more than the same four parties in the Council Chambers. Usually vote SNP but cba as I've never met either of my local councillors and they've made a c**t of the Olympia tbh.
