  1. Ticket (1).pdf brilliant response from Forest to grab the victory in the last 10 minutes, Chelsea missed a few chances but thought they'd won the game. Att 3950 now onto the final at Manchester United, hopefully !
  2. Just a trip back in time (mainly English league's) Would there be any chance or interest in Scotland going North, South etc ? Cut back on travelling and more local derbies. Always thought it might return down south, in lower divisions, one day in the future.
  3. Have the Lifted over the turnstiles books (excellent) and this forum always brings up surprises, and stuff I've never seen before. Keep it going, must be loads of hidden treasures around Scotland.
  4. Difficult one to get right, majority of clubs can't attract 5,000+, sponsors are thin on the ground and probably want to get a good return (and be seen on a big stage), youngsters have too many choices - a low % maybe future fans, even less make it in the pro game. Hopefully clubs do better in Europe, the National side progress further, I want all the home nations to be strong tbh.
  5. Can only imagine that the B teams could be interested,if only to bring the bottom division up to 16 eventually - that would give clubs below a chance to progress, only if their grounds meet the criteria, meaning less ground shares hopefully. Think unless the spfl clubs can finally sort this reserve problem, then they'll probably get into both the EOS and Lowland.
  6. As with most football pyramids, all new ambitious clubs must be able to see a pathway upwards,to keep progressing. Think possibly one years grace to update grounds, and before long a definite two up - across the board. Being more difficult in Scotland is the travelling and whether players want to do that. Interesting to see how many new clubs apply.Exciting times eh.
  7. Not sure of the inner workings of Scottish football, but could either the spfl, SFA, etc actually tell club 42 where they are going - and would the removal of any boundaries help their cause ? Down south we get Gloucester City in National North, absurd ,with some ridiculous away fixtures.
  8. Hoping to do the other FA Youth Cup semi, Forest v Chelsea on April 4th ( seeing a game in every round) but then it's hoping the final Manchester United v ..... is played before my hopeful return to Scotland on April 29th for a week. Previous rounds I went from Glasgow for Blackpool v Newcastle, determined eh ! Some great random photos so far, keep up the excellent work.
  9. Can't be much left with the seats gone, must have plans as, surely, this wouldn't meet criteria next season ? Bring back the old ground, that looked brilliant !
  10. FA Youth Cup semi : Manchester United 3 Wolves 0 att 6133. A dominant performance from the baby reds, giving the Wolves few chances to get into the game (hitting post in 1st half their best)
  11. Broomhill take another (modern) twist, just like the ridiculous FC Hashtag down south - or the online community owning a club etc, when will it end - the Twitter mob making half time changes ? Can't see the VOL surviving relegation tbh, maybe just the time to find their level, where they can compete better. Good luck anyway, they've done really well just to keep going.
  12. Cracking stuff, wonder what stick the ref was taking and what made him snap, fair play ! Can't remember seeing that in my playing days, probably got a round of applause if it happened.
  13. Last night saw me at Stamford Bridge for F.A Youth Cup quarter final v Blackpool. Mad rush from Bristol for 6pm k.o ! Trying to catch a game in every round Inc the final, just a fetish I have Chelsea 3-2 att 1097 Inc prob 100+ away. Excellent game with talent on show,01/11/21/22/32. The Seasiders gave it a real go,missing a couple of chances late on to level at 3-3, bit surprised at the small crowd tbh. Only £5 so can't grumble.
  14. That looks a good hop, sadly I won't get back to Scotland until the April 30th games and the following week. I appreciate the hard work by every club, don't expect programmes etc, and just love the games, grounds, people. Some hoppers think they're doing the clubs a favour - and demand everything in return. Bloody cheek
  15. No, didn't expect any of them to make the first team tbh - wasn't that the idea of playing against men's teams ? Can't ever see B teams getting into the spfl anyway, too much of a change for the 42.
  16. I only quoted an spfl3 as an extreme idea, definitely don't want it to happen. Maybe some 'modern' fans want change, new possibilities, open up the league's etc - I'm happy with a workable pyramid asap. After a full season in the LL, are all the youngsters now playing in their OF 1st teams ? Thought not.
  17. Extreme possibility: spfl 3 with B teams and the HL/LL/WOSFL big boys ? Anyway I don't think any B or Reserve team can get promoted OR play its parent/1st team in the spfl. I maybe wrong. Not another summer of this please, brown envelopes full of dirty cash etc.
  18. Found it hard getting to any wosfl games this week, 100% reliant on public transport and don't want to be stuck if a game is suddenly p-p when I'm on my way ! Thanks to the amateurs for some games, finished at Nethercraigs today for Ashfield 3-1 and Dormey 3-2 - good games in the rain (again) Maybe back in May hopefully.
  19. Thought both sides struggled to keep possession in a patchy first half, the two well taken goals brought things to life at last. The needless penalty gave Montrose hope, but they couldn't take the 3 or 4 decent chances they created. Airdrie grew in confidence and deserved the win, just keep the ball better and try getting more numbers forward. Enjoyable day/week comes to an end.
  20. Thought Falkirk had spells in the first half v Alloa, then totally dominated the 2nd. Some excellent stuff, decent movement and always a threat in front of goal. Obviously bringing on Griffith's a real boost,IF the supply up to him is good - never thought the result in doubt after the first goal. Poor Alloa showing tbh, wasting the few chances they created. Brilliant away support, must have been around 1,000 of the 1500 crowd ?
  21. Just back from a windy Dunbar, decent game in the conditions. Good fightback from the home side, the Handling brothers both finding the net. Chances at both ends, the usual number of subs in the 2nd half, and a good turn out, must have been 150 at least. Enjoyable stuff, are there any plans for ground improvements in the future ?
  22. That's good news, is tomorrow's friendly definitely going to be on ? Could be a day out in Dunbar with a game as well - ScotRail permitting of course !
  23. Any idea when the p-p South Challenge Cup games are going to be replayed ? Would they be next weekend ?
  24. Off to Wishaw today for FC Pather v Kincorth, cracking game with the home gk playing a blinder, scoring two pens and saving 3 in the shoot out. Must have been around 100, often on the pitch ! Fairly good standard, the ref had his faults, really enjoyed that one. 2-2 3-0 on pens to Pather.
  25. Harestanes 1 Fallin 4 HT 03. Decent start to my week in Scotland, dreadful weather but an entertaining game. Fallin first to the ball and quicker to react in the first half, taking their chances to kill the game. Harestanes got back into it 13, but never seriously threatened a comeback. Decent standard with around 75 in attendance.
