  1. Was wfh yesterday and on logging in found an email my boss sent to the full team on thursday evening saying theres a team meeting at 2pm this wednesday that we're all expected to attend, no exceptions.

I keep wondering whats going to be said at the meeting as i'm reading it as there's something big going down.  I know I'm being silly and it's probably the start of monthly team meetings that we haven't had in about 4 months.

This on top of the sudden passing of a former colleague last week we all knew and liked has got my brain working overtime.

The best we’ve looked in the past few weeks was against Alloa when Morrison was injured. I feel when he’s playing we try to make 80%+ of our game go through him.

I agree with this. Morrison is still a danger to opponents but the first half tactics seemed to be get it wide to Morrison to cross. We seemed more fluent against Alloa with Agyeman, Miller and Ross in behind McIver though Alloa gave us the time and space to play that Edinburgh didn't.

  3. We aren't going to play brilliant football every game nor will we get the same time and space to play we got in the first quarter. We just need to dig in and grind out results like we did today and against Stirling. Give me another 23 games winning by 1 goal and we'll win this league.

I'd also like to give a big GIRUY to the two utter roasters behind me in the KM7 stand today who came out with some utterly bizarre comments today such as Nesbitt's the best player we have, Henderson and McIver are weak links, McIver should have been subbed "for a proper footballer" and they'd sack McGlynn at xmas if we're still only 3 points clear.

Just when you think the fans are behind the team and there's a better atmosphere in the stadium along come some idiots to show we've still got a bit to go.

What bright spark from the council thought it was a good idea closing the footpath from West Mains Ind Estate up to the stadium, everybody was walking up the main road with the traffic feet away an accident waiting to happen.

God knows but I'm sure it's to be shut for months. But it is Falkirk Council we're talking about so nothing should come as a surprise!

  5. Absolutely not at our best but 3 points in the bag. Quite a few of our players not fully at it today, don't know if teams are sussing us out or if Hogarth's calamity shocked some of our players for a bit.

We could easily have been 2 or 3 up by half time but thankfully we went in at least level as Edinburgh would have got a huge lift if they had gone in ahead at half time.

Finally, to the 2 absolute roasters behind me in the KM7 stand today, get McIvor's goal right up ye!

  6. Don't know if it's a new series or a repeat but this was back on C4 tonight at 9pm. Title of this one was The No Body Murder.

I won't spoil it for anybody who hasn't seen it but my god that was unexplainable.

There's another episode on next Monday at the same time

There goes wee Max’s career. Levein teams’ average height for central players is about 6’3”.

Tbf Leveins played a big part in his career and seems to love him.

Levein described Max recently as one of the biggest prospects in Scottish football. He absolutely loves him and believe he was involved in getting him a move to Saints originally.

He was definitely involved in his loan move to Brechin.

I thought Max was brilliant at Falkirk last season, really stood out though you'd expect that at that level.

It's all well and good Levein talking him up in the past but he wasn't the manager needing results back then.

  8. On the McGinn situation, the club will be aware of his coaching arrangements. If the club have no problems with that then that's the clubs' call and I'm happy to allow them to make that call. Mcginn is obviously taking his first official steps towards a full time coaching position. I don't see there being any difference between any of us having a full time job and a part time job on the side so long as its all declared and approved on both sides.

I dont recall there being much anger when Lee Miller was coaching at Motherwell while playing with us.

Excluding the Hamilton game and the Queen of the South game, we've scored 27 goals in 9 matches, or an average of 3 a game.

We've got at least two against everyone...usually fairly early as well. Then there was Queens, where we  managed just 1 - which only came courtesy of a wonder strike, and not until the 88th minute

I don't think we had a clear chance all game, in sharp contrast to the likes of Alloa who presented us with an absolute barrel load at the weekend

Was that the game where the tactic seemed to be get it wide to Morrison to cross into the box? And when that wasn't working we kept doing it until Spencer popped up with his wonder strike?

I've got an 8 year old as well and she told me a couple of months ago that "this will be last year she'll do all the Santa stuff".  I'd hoped I'd have another year to two of the 'believing' stuff but kids are getting wiser.  There's no doubt 20,000 YouTubers out there telling them it's all bollocks.

Mine doesn't even want to do the Santa stuff this year and to be fair the last time he done a Santa thing it looked babyish and he was one of the oldest there. He'd rather go to Edinburgh or Glasgow for the day and go to a panto.

    Agree re the YouTubers

  11. To those with 'older' children, how old were your kids when they stopped believing in Santa? My 8 year old told me tonight that Santa's not real and I think I've managed to convince him otherwise for the time being.

Not sure I'm quite ready for the magic to go for him just yet but seems that day is coming far sooner than I hoped. Kids seem to grow up too quick now

For those who have watched/listened to the podcast so far, thoughts on the Tony Begg/Academy interview?

Really good, I definitely learned a lot from that interview. Hopefully we can get a full academy up and running by 2026 as that would also mean the club is progressing upwards

  13. Following Coll Donaldson's bullet of a strike on Saturday and the pictures of players in shock at it, which goal this season (so far) would get Goal of the Season?

For me it's between Morrison v Annan, Spencer v QOS, Morrison v Montrose and Donaldson v Alloa.

Mentions also to McIver's header in the 3-0 game v Stirling and Miller's tap in v Alloa in the 4-1 game which I'm sure was a really good team move

Yes he's a scumbag drug dealer.

Didn't Saints sack players for having a line of coke because they said they were a family club? (they only sacked them because they were injured and pish )

A match made in heaven,  a drug dealer and a club that resents anything to do with drugs.

    Honestly this is brilliant 🤣🤣

Is he really a drug dealer? If yes then I'm really shocked this hasn't been picked up by the Scottish media and highlighted to the general public in order to have a stick to beat him with years after his sentence expired

If John Beaton was competent we'd have had a free kick at the other end at 1-0, rather than badly defending a corner.

If he doesn't see it he can't give it. And remember he didn't see the shirt pull either so without VAR, you'd have got away with that.

If Haring doesn't pull Goldson's top it's an overhit corner and no penalty. These things will always be pulled up with VAR, players only have themselves to blame when they get caught

Nah, that's what the debate's about, whether Alloa's orange strip will clash with the heritage one?

I assume we'll revert back to home and away for the rest of the season though?

I didn't realise we'd be wearing the kit 😅 I thought it was like a novelty kit that could be bought but wouldn't be worn for matches a bit like the Brockville top that had all players names on
