If KVV gets 30 goals and player of the year, that probably makes him better than Moult.

Is the rising cost of electricity not a big part of this? The club did say that matches are more expensive to put on now, so that would make sense, along with us being generous in previous seasons. I don't think the cost of sacking the managers have anything to do with the ticket price increases.

We should have one of those thermometer things like on blue peter, where for every level of season ticket sales we get to we re-sign a player. Like 500 for Cornelius, 4k for KVV, and if we get to 6k we punt Morris.

We're absolutely selling KVV. There's no guarantee he can continue this form (I'd keep him based on early season form as well to be fair) or stay fit, so from both sides perspective this is the time to cash in. He has a chance of multiplying his wages and we have the chance to cover next seasons budget shortfall and have money left to sack the manager at some point. For him, waiting until the end of next season to walk for nothing might be a big risk with him turning 33 at that point. So if we don't sell him in the summer he should just re-sign with us forever.

We should have at least negotiated the rights to a percentage of profits from his silky skills training school.

Martindale is a mirage of a manager, and a gobshite. Kevin Van Veen is a beautiful man.

Came back home yesterday for a week. The strikes at Heathrow meant I couldn't get into Edinburgh in time for the hibs game, which we would have lost if I was there. You can thank me for that, but unfortunately that means next week Martindale is going to get his first ever win against us. Going to watch the replay now. A tornado also hit the ground a couple of miles from my house while i was on the plane, so it's been an up and down sort of weekend. Thank God for irn bru too.

Some sort of training compensation, which is based on how long he's been with us. Don't know if first team games and international appearances factor into it though. We've negotiated with clubs in the past to get a smaller fee with addons for future sales. I'm reluctant for us to do that though, since outside of Marvin J we haven't done too well in that area. I doubt it will be crazy money, as it's difficult to play hardball when it's the chance for someone in the last few years of their career to set themselves up for life. An occasionally miffed KVV splits our support, so I can't imagine what a furious one would do. Saying that, I doubt it's a "nominal fee" either. Hopefully we can hold onto him until the end of the pre split games.

I read that statement, and I must be getting old. Firstly, I can't read shit that's in multiple colours on a coloured background so maybe need to get my eyes checked. Secondly, they may want to concede that some of the shite they've done this season was actually wrong and isn't condoned by the vast majority of our support. Thirdly, they have a bit of an ego about them that doesn't quite sit with being motherwell fans. I doubt anyone going to the game tomorrow gives a f**k. Authority figures being b*****ds is nothing new though. We should be working with fans, not villianizing them (except for the ones that trash pubs).
